Was 16 teams, I thought.

But yes, would still take awhile with 16x60 players.

I had some teams(in smaller leagues) that were losing players on a daily basis(and not being replaced). Since it was during game time,I had to manually add players(which took quiet some time).

I play regular season games before the official start of the regular season and teams are still tweaking their roster's.

I am playing in commissioner mode. Maybe I can temporarily take over (manage) a team? Do you know how I can do that? I'm not easily seeing how to do so.
Control all the teams in the draft.

Glad it worked. i wasn't sure if the option became available with financials off... never tried. it seemed likely, though, since you didn't have to worry about contracts.

Exactly. I'm doing an experimental league that I will be reporting on in Dynasties at some point. Thanks.

OK, I just tried to activate the free agent draft and I don't know whether this is what I need. It looks like the free agent draft is for newly minted players, not for veterans who becomes free agents after playing some years, which is what I would need. Every major league player in my new league is a free agent

Manual says this about drafts:

Which seems consistent from my quick experimenting here.

The only way I think it could help me is if there's some way I can manually bring in my current batch of free agents into the draft pool, rather than creating ficntional players or importing historical players. Is there?

I havent done it on 17 yet but on 15 or 16 when it was 1st introduced i was able to draft all FA. Only thing is teams could not skip picks so teams went overbudget with late picks of Jeter and others.

Can you lay out for me what your process was to draft veteran free agents? Maybe I can try to replicate that.
