Here in God's country the rumor started, after the Rangers traded Darvish, that the team would do its best to re-sign him this summer. If Darvish signs with the Rangers then I think Ohtani will sign with them also.

Otani is likely to be signed before Darvish.

We know so very little about what Otani wants.

So according to MLB Netework Otani has strong ties to the MGR of the Padres, Andy Green along with 2 Japanese front office guys (Nomo, forgot the other). Would be interesting.

If that happens then my guess would be incorrect.

My guess is he wants to pitch and DH, a crap load of money, and a little love, warmth, and understanding. That's just a guess.

And has been training in Arizona with them for years. A lot of Padres connections.

The Angels, along with the Rangers and Mariners, seem to be the best chances IMO

I wonder if they let this heal over the remaining winter, evaluate him in the spring and then simply let him be a hitter to try and mitigate further stress.
But batters can damage their UCL and well. Swinging that lumber causes a lot of stress on the shoulder, elbow and wrist joints as well and the hips, knees and ankles.

I don't know. I feel like if teams knew someone would have said something. We have reports about so many other factors of this kids life, why not this?

True. I thought it was funny how on Twitter now some fans are saying they're glad their team didn't get him now. For 3 million dollars every team would still take him even if he need Tommy John (which he doesn't).

True. Teams pay more than 3 million for absolute garbage all the time. 3 million is a no brainier to me.
