Hey all... I had to change the draft stuff because previous file i forgot to enable the rookie draft so i added that and changed around a few things... here is the most up to date file..

We have made some changes for OOTP26.

Instead of 6 divisions in previous years we went with a NHL style 4 divisions 2 conferences. This Version will play 162 games over the season.

Trade Deadline - July 31st 2025

Rookie Draft - June 5th (With the Rookie draft we have changed it up so that you can trade draft picks)

The Draft is 10 rounds 25 players per round generated. The Amateur Draft Pool Reveal is March 7th with Combine Date is 8 weeks after pool reveal which is May 2nd

The roster will consist of 26 active players and 24 reserve players. We will be able to have international complex players of 50 with spring training of 60

Draft Order Will be determined by standings there is no draft lottery.

Each team will have a 750k salary cap.
Player Dev Budget of 100,000
Scouting Budget of 80,000

Playoffs Consist of 3 teams from each Division plus 2 wild card spots. which means 16 teams out of 28 make playoffs

With the Regular Schedule loaded Spring Training will begin on March 9th when opening day is April 6th with Season ends on October 4th with Playoffs beginning on the 6th of October

I am just thinking of some ideas... How do people think of a Minor League team for development plus a rookie team as well? kind of like MLB but like a AAA team and then a minor league or would u guys prefer a AA and rookie team?

Just making some changes to the file. IT should be up Wednesday Evening.

So here is the challenge for the Save if you want to if not then you can play however you want.

If You really Want a Challenge:

Indy League (MLB)
AAA
AA
A
Rookie

You have a 6,026,360 Salary Cap. You have to Build up Team Canada's Baseball Ranking within that salary Cap.

I have bumped the Draft from 10 rounds to 20 that way you have enough players for your rookie team year 1.

Not only will you have to build Team Canada's Baseball Team but you will also have to Make the Canadian Baseball League Bigger then the MLB with just a Salary Cap. I have not tested it if over time the salary Goes up but I will test it before i upload the file ot see if I need to make any changes

This is updated.

Some changes that I have made:

I have upped the Salary cap for the CBL from 750k to 6,062,000 which roughly works out to 43k per player for all 5 teams.

The Schedule for the CBL team is in the save directory under Schedule if your looking for it.

CBL - 162 Games
AAA - 150 game season
AA - 138 Games
A - 132 Games
Rookie - 55 games

I have upped the Draft to 20 rounds which gives you enough players for rookie team in season 1. Also generated 20 players to 50 players.

If there is any problems with the save. Please let me know so I can correct it

ok, things seem to be moving along without incident, so i will provide my findings on how to use this as a stand alone template to insert into your league...

1. delete all the leagues except the Canadian league
2. delete all the FAs (that is where the players from deleted leagues get dumped)
3. after your deletions, can now save league as a template...
4. now open your saved league and import the template you created and voila!
Note: will have to proceed to following year to have the Canadian league be playable, this has to do with the original saved time of Canadian league file.

Thanks I will do all of this and make a seperate file...

I will have two. One just a file on it own as suggested above.

The other will be with all other leagues and then goal is to develop CBL into a bigger league then MLB even though MLB has more money.

So your saying, autosim until off-Season delete all leagues and FAs and then what create fictional players for all teams to start out and then go form there? is that how you would have your players for CBL, AAA, AA, A and rookie?

first do the deletion part, then create a template of that now solo league, then you can insert template into a new 2025 saved league if you have one or insert into a new created league....but don't insert template until 2026....once the template is inserted into your league, then you can fill w/fictional players or allow AI to fill teams with FAs from your league (that is what I did, but most teams will be filled with "foreign" players)...
