What sort of stat adjustments did you make to make it more "roller hockey" like? Or did you just run the stock game but treating them like ice hockey teams with roller branding?

Mostly that, but I increased scoring somewhat compared to real-life NHL. I'm not sure why, but the game mostly generated 1 and 1.5 star players to put on teams. If I stuck to the "2-star" rule of making sure my players were all 2-star, I wouldn't field a team. So interestingly, roller hockey players are also, on average of lesser quality, even though it is the "top" (and only major) league.

Interesting to see that Toronto ended up knocking you out after you said the Northern Lights were really struggling against them in the regular season in the mid season update. Toros have a bright future!

So true! I need to sit down and do a careful analysis of why I think they're beating St. Paul so regularly. I think it's playing styles/tactics; I just haven't thought through what makes the difference.

This is Game 2 of the RHA Murphy Cup Finals in the Clash of the Titans playoffs! Without too much spoiling, I'll just say this game went to overtime and was exciting. Toronto vs. San Francisco, with Toronto having a 1-0 lead!

Game 3 of the RHA Murphy Cup Finals is happening! This one was an interesting one, and although it's not quite as exciting as the OT thriller that was last game, it is in fact several minutes shorter. In fact, it's the shortest one so far!

It's the end of the line for the Murphy Cup Finals, and after going the full five games, San Francisco Seals have triumphed over the Toronto Toros, winning in the final game, 2-1.

It's better than that; Connors did it in just 59 games.

My boy Matthew Gordon was one point down from that, but played four fewer games. The scoring race was intense!

The Portland Pioneers have been renamed the Portland Rage for the 2024-2025 season. As such, I have resigned from St. Paul, after some friction between myself and the ownership. I am going to miss STP, and wish them the best. Nonetheless, the time is perfect for turning around this sinking ship!
