UPDATED MLB Roster set for 2023 season - with Steamer/600 projections - Page 2

This is what I did (on PC)

Step 1- download compressed file from link

Step 2- extract compressed file, gives me the following folder with two sub-folders

Step 3- cut/copy the "2023 MLB CBL v5 FINAL.lg" subfolder from the extracted folder, and paste it in my "saved_games" OOTP folder

Step 4- open OOTP, click Load Game, select "2023 MLB CBL v5 FINAL"

Ok gang one more update - (SHOULD be the last one)......

I went through and made a few more minor updates to MLB Starting pitchers. Mostly impacts trying to get OOTP to identify the top 5 Starting pitchers by ratings talent. I had a few RP's that had high ratings and enough stamina to start games. That should be resolved in next update.

Estimating that will be loaded here next 2 hours or less.
I'll post to this thread once ready.

I'm going through many of the minor leaguers that Steamer did not project out to update. I'm estimating next update will be sometime on Monday/Tuesday.
There are quite a few minor leaguers with pitch ratings of "1".

Thanks man I appreciate it, but that’s what I’ve done and it’s not working, must be a bug in my files or something idk. I’ve done roster downloads before etc, no idea why this is happening for me. I can’t keep trying though, already spent 7+ hours trying to get these rosters in lol. Kill me

Are you still getting the "load quickstart" message? Can you see the league in your saved games when you click on Load? If so, try and delete it from inside the game and copy it over again and see if maybe something just needed to be cleared out.

No not anymore. When i was told to put it in the saved games folder i did that and nothing shows up when i try to load it in the game. I've wiped my pc, installed/unistalled the game etc. it's madness lol

Do you have OOTP installed in the default directory or in another one? I know with my PC, my C drive is just for Windows, so I had to install OOTP on the D drive, so make sure if this is the case, you put the folder in the correct saved game folder, I made that mistake more than once because I see a folder for Out of the Park Developments on my C drive

I'll try that, i've been using C drive. Should i reinstall to D or just copy folder from C and paste it.

EDIT: moving it in the steam files settings.

No, I just wanted to make sure that you didn't have the file in the wrong folder and that may be why it is not showing up. I just have mine on D because the C drive is much smaller and just is where Windows lives and all my programs are on D because it is a 1TB drive. Ugh...computers!

Who knows then lol. I'll try this if not im stumped, is what it is. If anybody can load it to the steam workshop you'd help the plebs such as myself. Happy new year boys

Hey gang!

Ok new file is coming next 2-3 hours.

I was able to resolve a lot of weird issues mostly impacting low minor league players. Mostly stemming from some of those players not being in Steamer projections.

I’d highly advise using this update versus previous updates.

Ok updates implemented!!!

- All MLB coaching staffs should now be accurate. Several teams have two hitting coaches listed so I had to select one of the two

- Updated minor league rules to be roster size of 30, with exception of Rookie (50) and DSL (40)

- Updated minor leagues for service time limits for all levels under AA

- Took another run through at least team’s top 10 prospects

- Reviewed and “leveled” several upper levels minor league arms. With Steamer it projects either as RP or SP, so several minor league arms were a bit too highly rated for SP and should be RP. This mostly impacts 45/50/55 AAA/AA level SP that should be 40/45

- Will Smith the pitcher had Will Smith the catcher’s batting ratings :/

- Updates to several players the system missed. For instance Kumar Rocker of Texas

- All teams now set to Computer GM control, however I still have all AI moves disabled. You will have to enable on your side before starting a save
