I'd stopped using the Rule 5 Draft after a team put in-his-prime Gehrig on waivers to keep a middling Rule 5 pick on their roster. Hopefully this update will change that kind of stuff, so I'll likely try it again.

TBH that's how I felt about uniform names and numbers. 3D has gone from "meh, I probably won't use it but it's nice to give newer players an inroad into this great game" to "I literally cannot survive without this".

I haven't purchased 24 yet and was considering a pass this year. However, I took a glance and these immediately popped out at me...

* Will not see other GM feedback until you submit an offer
* Will not be able to tinker endlessly on trades, as you will need to submit to see feedback from the opposing team
* Make this work now button disabled when trading hard mode is enabled

I ranted quite extensively about these very issues and I am extremely pleased at these changes. I always have faith in OOTPD.

If I missed it in Changelog I apologize, but if this isn't there it should be. This is a huge quality of life improvement for me. I could never get 4 rows in previous games... and now I am not even sure what I will do with all this new space (but I will do SOMETHING).

Does this change it so that batters that demand "middle of the lineup" realize that the #3, #4, & #5 spots ARE the middle of the lineup (traditionally, not mathematically)?

Also, every year I have to go into editor to correct arm strength for the era I'm playing in (usually 1980-2005) because people with legendary throwing arms are rated average & some of the best catchers defensively/calling games are average slightly above in-game. I imagine it's because this is not measured in stat lines & requires manual research. It's jarring when you watched these guys & see Ichiro, Bo Jackson, or Andre Dawson not even leading their team in that rating.

Since history doesn't change, it seems like a 1 time investment in it would be useful for every version moving forward forever, unless the game is completely rebuilt from scratch.

Thanks Lukas and Matt. One change I didn’t see is this:

On game creation, allows user to change the Overall and Potential ratings to ratings other than stars.

unless I just missed it. This is a change I’ve wanted for pretty much as long as I have been playing OOTP but thought too minor to post about.

I also noticed the minors_teams.csv file has changed, having data back to 1884. I believe this is as far back as Baseball reference goes. Could this also be in preparation for some future development plan??? Hmmmmm

Yes, there are plenty of other little spots where we've added options to set values in a spot you didn't before. The historical wizard notably as well, most of the options that used to be hidden there are now editable before the initial player pool creation.

The minors teams, you'll have to watch and see. I know with the effort to consolidate our historical database this year, that should help us be able to move forward in a much more sustainable way in building out the historical game even more.

You do realize your statement does not invalidate what I said right? Just because something is late does not mean people do not start pestering 1 minute past the original estimated release time.
