Here is what I did. I followed the link above to another thread that contained a link Eriq's Github page:

Name: Image2175.jpg
Views: 693
Size: 104.0 KB

Note the selection that I highlighted. The "exe" suffix was the only one that I recognized, and I did not want the portable version, so I clicked it and downloaded this file:

Name: Image2176.jpg
Views: 678
Size: 60.4 KB

I went to my Downloads folder and double-clicked the file:

Name: Image2177.jpg
Views: 648
Size: 87.8 KB

Here is something that might throw you; I use Windows Defender which does not recognize (or, more accurately, authorize) Eriq's program. Something about a missing certificate, I believe. This protection is to my benefit, so I don't mind, but some people may be put off. The key is to trust your source, and obviously I do. So I clicked "More info" (a must in order to proceed):

Name: Image2178.jpg
Views: 667
Size: 52.3 KB

That gave me the option to "Run anyway":

Name: Image2179.jpg
Views: 669
Size: 65.9 KB

Continued ...

The rest is pretty standard procedure:

Name: Image2180.jpg
Views: 691
Size: 69.1 KB
Name: Image2181.jpg
Views: 674
Size: 35.9 KB
Name: Image2182.jpg
Views: 682
Size: 83.0 KB
Name: Image2183.jpg
Views: 668
Size: 496.8 KB

Look for the program start icon on your Desktop:

My pleasure, guys. Here's a follow-up. Underneath some of those windows, this was awaiting discovery:

Name: Image2185.jpg
Views: 661
Size: 106.0 KB

Again, since I trust the source (and how!), I clicked "Allow access."

I guess I'm officially old because I can't figure out how to actually get the letters and numbers onto the jersey.

I have not started using this app yet but my intuition tells me that you do not enter player names and numbers with it. The game does that. I imagine that either you must know to leave uniform space for these or there is some built-in mechanism in this program that prevents you from overwriting that required space.

EDIT: Or were you speaking of loading specific fonts for letters and numbers?

EDIT 2: I should shut up, because I really am guessing at this point, but to load a local font, this is the button; and again, I am guessing but I think it sets the stage for the game to enter names and numbers, else you would be making a uniform for each individual player:

Yeah, I just don't know why it would have the font tools in it if it doesn't put those on the jersey. OOTP 24 insists upon making all the letters and numbers red by default, which is damn annoying, too. Can't figure out how to change that if it's even possible.

See if this thread helps on the red numbers:

I always find downloading from github so confusing as there are multiple ways to do so ("go to file", "code", "releases"). I've both used Eriq's utilities in the past and I've written myself notes on how to use github, but even I couldn't figure it out again. Thanks for your step by step visual instructions, Deja Bru!

To be clear I also can't get the team name on the front of these jerseys, either. I understand the names and numbers are a different animal.

Assuming you're loading them in OOTP correctly - and the process hasn't really changed in years - the jerseys will appear as you design them in the Uniform Maker. So if you add a team name there, it will be there in-game. OOTP will dynamically add the player name and number using the font file the Uniform Maker generates.

One thing to note is that the font file absolutely has to be placed in the "jersey_fonts" folder for the game to load it. OOTP will automatically load a file if there's one that has the right naming convention or you can manually specify which file to use in the in-game uniform editor. If OOTP can't autoload a file it will use the "default" one which, for some reason, they have made the Cincinnati Reds font.

Ok forget the back of the jersey. Is there a button I have to push to put the team name on the front after I have selected a font and set all the colors? It's giving me blank fronts.

(I just know I'm going to end up feeling so stupid).
