Ratings for any league change when you import them into any new version. With the ratings scale change in OOTP25, this is a bigger change than in previous versions.

There's no projections folder. It's just ratings that control that, and those do change on import version to version.

Given the whole ratings scale is different in OOTP25, there's no way to copy existing ratings from OOTP24 1:1.

The thing is, the old editor projections did not give you data on what the players would actually perform like in your specific league, just in a theoretical, generic league that didn't take into account league settings or talent levels in your league.

The new editor gives you the expected performance in your actual league. So this is a huge improvement for someone like you who wants to adjust the ratings/projected performance of players as now it allows you to set these much more accurately.
And I don’t want to edit them. I want the projections from 25 to overwrite what was in the 24 file. Seems like this should be a much easier thing. Like
The options I mentioned above.

But I am not copying from 24 into 25. Sorry I am not following.

Also, there is a scouting folder. I thought that had the projections in it. So why can’t I copy that and move it to the correct league file?

Sorry for all the questions. I guess my only option from what I am hearing is to rebuild the league in 25 and not pull the file over from 24? Then I have to set everything up for the league from scratch? That seems almost impossible that I don’t miss something. This is very frustrating.

I think maybe we need a little better description of what you're trying to do and what results you're trying to get, as I'm having a little trouble following entirely.

Can you maybe start a new thread in the bug reports forum so we don't hijack this thread, and post some screenshots there of exactly what you're seeing in 24 and in 25 and then explain what you're hoping to see?

I just imported a season from 24 to 25, historical, that includes no color bar, and thus Negro League players in MLB. I'm in mid-season, so taking the risk of some significant ratings changes. No worries. Except, for some reason, I am seeing Negro League pitchers with a 0 for BABIP allowed. Which seems to pull down their ratings. Or is this a default value that allows the game to calculate ratings without BABIP? Not sure if it's a bug or what was intended. Or due to lack of Negro League stats?

The Mac OS is based on UNIX, which is hardly unique or strange. Why don't you simply write some code that navigates the "containers"--the file system--and presents the needed file in a standard Mac OS dialog box. It can't be that hard, because that's what every other developer does and has done for the past couple of decades.

It IS that hard because Apple mandates that this sort of thing get stored in the User Library...which is invisible.
