Let's hope PT is improved by next year. Last year felt like an almost perfect game and I didn't skip a day of playing it all the way until PT26 was released, but this time around has been generally annoying from the start. It felt like a lack of missions at the start and now we get a bunch with rewards of 2 standard packs that cost 20,000 points to complete. I have 350,000 points accumulated but nowhere to put them to any use that makes sense. It's just a broken system this year for some reason.

To be fair though, now that we have the 10 completely useless standard packs + Jeff Mathis reward and get to pay a boatload to get them, it's hard to not get a little excited.

The bottlenecking of missions is becoming more and more prevalent the last couple of years, and sucks the fun out of completing missions as well. They are coming up with tons of ways to generate revenue to keep the game alive, and good for them, but like the previous poster said, paying 20K points to complete a mission that nets you two standard packs, is sucking the fun out of the game for most.

I'm not even sure how much "revenue" they're generating. All the good players are playing with house money at this point and have been for a long time.

Is this strategy farming clubhouse points in tourneys and then using some of those to turn into perfect points?

I'm not a good player, I don't do tourneys, but I assume this is one way to play with "house money"?

Tournaments are far and away the most consistent way to farm points/stars, with live spec having the largest lump sum impact (speculating on players that will go up in ratings when the monthly live ratings are updated and then quickselling them all), but live-spec is done for the year now that the season is over.

I barely try, and am a middle of the road player at best, and I'm sitting on over a million points and thousands of stars (which in my opinion are more valuable) without dropping money.

Full disclosure I did toss in a few bucks when they had the iron variant packs you could only get via cash purchase, but that was almost as much about the novelty than some sort of whale strategy.

Most of the players at the very highest levels spend very little money... BUT they do spend a BUTT LOAD of time and energy grinding out the stuff that gets them in-game currency for free.

I once spent 10 stars on Danks to complete a mission, except I ruefully discovered it was the "wrong" Danks. What wizard puts TWO Danks in the clubhouse? I was able to sell the "wrong" Danks for 10K, getting 900 PP per star. If you only have a few stars, you might try to do that deliberately.

There are multiples of a lot of cards there, with one being a Variant for tournament use. I just wish they'd put both of them sequentially so that players immediately see that they have a choice.
