Not going to happen. He'd be a backup playing at 23M. That doesn't happen in today's NFL. Murray will be a starter somewhere.

He'll be charged the minimum vs the cap by whoever signs him for 2026. All that other money is being paid out by the Cardinals.

Few franchises are going to be willing to pay starting QB$ & for a backup. You're paying one on the highest salaries for a player that won't play every game.

He would be a 52M cap hit on Arizona. His base pay for next year is just short of 23M. I'm assuming that's what any team trading for him would pay unless they make some kind of deal.

6 from Ravens '22 draft class have signed contracts worth $298M. That is pretty good to find that many players able to sign more than a journeyman's contract when they 1st become FA's

I don't get how this man got a $25,000 bond. From what I understand (none of this is official), after his g/f blocked his number, he contacted her again from a different number in San Diego. He evidently then flew cross country to Miami to stalk her. Tried to pull her out of the car in the middle of the street in broad daylight. Chased her down & willingly crashed his expensive sports car (ya'll know how we brothers feel about the ride) into her multiple times. Then drove away in a car chase, apparently w/guns drawn on him. Hit a cop in his knee w/the car. Then needed multiple officers to subdue him.

Just from the fact he made an ocean to ocean flight & his temper never waned, it tells you he is super dangerous, super violent, and a super risk to the public. $25,000 is just inviting him to strike again.
Reportedly, police were called about Pearce 7x's dealing w/stalking his ex. Again, letting this fool out on such a low bond is begging for disaster.

Not so fast. He failed his physical and Baltimore said, "no thanks."

OK nobody is trading for Kyler because everyone knows he’s going to get cut and they don’t have to pay him anything.

Right. AZ would pay all of the dead cap, and some team will sign him for one year at 10M.

Nope, it’ll be 1 year, 1.3M. Unless the bidding goes above 22M or so, Arizona is already essentially paying that, so why would any team step in and pay it instead?

There were few places where Geno could go and be seen as an upgrade. And the Jets roster was one of them.

Oh that's right. Sort of like when Russel Wilson went to Pittsburgh.

Yes! Exactly the same situation. Also the same as the new Tua deal with Atlanta and... there's another big one this year that I'm completely blanking on. Cousins, maybe?

More proof the NFLPA is the weakest & most corrupt of all the major sports unions.

And this is why I never get into who is right or wrong in NFL contract negotiations. I think the owners screw the players constantly. But the only ones that screw the players worse are the players themselves. It is a shame the man in the above interview was more passionate in protecting the players interests than the group on the whole filling the football rosters.

Every time I think I have a solid ranking on which organization is more corrupt, FIFA, the Olympics or the NFL, there is some new scandal that makes me rethink my order.
