And now another just a few games later by 38 Speed Mark Vientos....a grand slam inside the park HR. These are two of the slowest runners I have ever seen in real life....Sal Perez and Vientos. Unless two of the outfielders lost consciousness, I can't see them ever getting an inside the park HR.

I had my backup catcher (with very low speed) get two in one game! Overall I am at about the 5 a season level (all standard MLB settings)

I was playing in game 3 of my Division Series this morning and had 2 in that game alone, and can recall at least 2 more throughout the season I saw during the games I play, which is typically every 3rd game or so

I'm 85 games into my regular season. Add in another 28 spring training games.
I have had zero inside the park homeruns.

Why some leagues and not others? Anyone posted about this in the tech support forum and send in a save file? A search for "inside" in the tech forum shows nothing. It would be interesting if the developer could look at it and find a cause.

Is this an era-related issue, by chance? Like if you start a league in 1900, you see a high percentage of inside-the-park home runs, and if you start a league in 2026, you don't? I was speculating it might be something that is getting pulled from the era_stats.txt file in the database folder, but that file doesn't have anything specific to inside-the-park HR rates...

David Ortiz just hit his third inside the park homerun in my replay. I started the replay in 2001. It is currently in the 2007 season. So this replay should be using current era stat modifiers.

The ones I got from Vientos and Sal Perez were in 2027 from the standard 2026 start. I got a few in 2026 as well, but none from guys as slow as these two.

yet no one can produce a screen shot or a report showing these inside the park HRs.
I don't see any.
What is a dev supposed to do with anecdotal evidence?

I don't doubt the reports, even though I haven't experienced it. That says to me that some combination of settings trigger it. So it would be nice to have that information for context. I don't see inside-the-park HR on the league totals, so I'm not sure how they are determined. Maybe they're random, with some frequency? History should make a difference. At some point, most all HR were inside very large ballparks.

Too many inside the park homers

FYI Shea Langeliers just hit an inside the park home run and he’s no speedster… it happens in real life from time to time. https://fb.watch/Hya27bfk5W/?mibextid=wwXIfr

As far as I can tell nobody is asking for this to be fixed. Nobody has opened a thread in the support forum. Nobody has posted any data other than an ISP HR happened. It's just become a general discussion of "look what happened in my game" and nothing more. If it was happening to me I'd want to find out why Boog Powell (or any player for that matter) just hit his second inside the park homerun of the season, and if it could be fixed.

I guess it just is what it is?
