All change now with the mass of free agents

1)Rangers-Again goal 140 points and 550 goals, Loss of Meier, Shesterkin and Hesikanen will hurt.
2) Calgary-Bouchard and hughes on D, with Necas and Matthews up front!
3) LA Kings-Jack Hughes and 8 3.5 star players or better.
4)Boston-Bedard, Caufield Panarin, Drysdale ARE ALL 4.5 STAR OR BETTER!
5) Seattle Bratt, Sorokin Johnson, but Toronto still have good depth and are 8th, Chicago and Ottawa inbetween. All these teams have good depths.

Devils-14th, their 3 free agents singings fo McDavid Olausson and Lundvist are pretty much all they have!

2030/2031 Season

Things do not start off well with a 5-2 opening defeat to the ducks! Then 2 games later we are hammerd 11-3 by Tampa Bay. Maybe the loss of 3 players from my top 2 lines might have more of an affect that i thought. Sticking with it, by superstar youngsters Dray and Miller need the ice time. We settle down and by 1st quarter we are 18-3 on course for 530 goals. Exactly wher i hoped we'd be. CAlgary are 17-2, with Matthews firing on all cylinders for his new team. Miller finally looking like the player we expected.

Halfway trhough season, Calgary have lost 8 games we've lost 4. Zegras of Detroit has 93 pts, Connor 91. Caufield of Boston leads with 46 goals.

End of Season, its Connor Bedard with 186 point who takes Art Ross, Caufield the Maurice Richard. Rangers 156 points, San jose overtake Calgary, 121-119, but its the Panthers who are second the 123. McDavid and Matthews are traded for each other AGAIN!

2030/2031 Playoffs

Not expecting too much resistantce, but unchartereed waters here with most good players now being the 'fake' ones.

Carolina go down in 5, Toronto force a game 7 after being 3-1 down but we win 11-2 in the decider. I thoroughly dislike playing this maple leafs team in the post season.

Rangers through to the Stanley CUp final with a 5 games series vs the Bruins. San Jose and Calgary have a tight battle, but McDavid, ousted by the Sharks in 7 who were led by Shafgulin.

Stanley Cup Final
San jose are the suprise of the league, they were rated as 16th pre season, but Chytill, Beniers and Shafgulin provided a suprising effective line both the regular season and playoffs. I can't see them having a hope against us though.

Game1: 5-3 win for Rangers, 37 shots to 25, as we hold off a rally after we'd gone 3-0 up after 1.Raymond with 2 goals.

Game2: Thomas Jarvis and Connor our top line lead the playoffs with all above 30 points. They combined for 3 of our goals in a 6 -4 win, where again San Jose fought back from being 4-0 down after 1. If they can stop getting hammered in the first, this series would be close.

Game3: San Jose need to win this. They don't 6-1, again our top line doing the damage.

Game4: A Thomas goal assisted by jarvis and Connor, is fittingly the game winner with 4 minutes left in the 3rd to break a 2-2 tie. Two further goals add gloss as we sweep the Sharls for a 5-2 win, giving us the Sc again. Thomas with 39 is your points leader more good news, Utah finished dead last so we get 1st overall pick.

Hart: Quinn Hughes! (FLA)
Conn Smyth: Robert Thomas (NYR)
Calder: Pierre-Maxime Rousseau (MTL)
Norris: Rasmus Dahlin (work that one out!)
Vezina: Askarov (NYR)

2031/2032 Draft and Pre Season

I have the 1st rnd pick and also the 4th and 10th! I will target 2 fwrds and a defender, and that should see me through to the end of the game.

1st pick is Healey a superb C, 4th is Ban a superb rw. i then get another frw, Lister as he's available 10th. I don't ahve a pick for 11 goes now, so hope one of my defneders is still there, as they aren't expected till end of rnd 2. One of them is picked though but the one i wanted Piipponen is still there.

Traded out
Cozens, Nemec, Jarvis and Trujillo. Cozens and Jarvis have been valuble second liners. Cozens 5 100 point seasons in 10 years with us. Jarvis, 4 in 9 years with a 54 goal 108 point season for 162 a sensational year. But they take up 25 million in budget, so are gone. Nemec is as is my 7th worst defender and can't keep Eliason out of the team. Trujillo young but not good enough for us, so he loses his spot to 23 year old Lahti. Cahpedlaine and Scheidegger, my two young up and coming centers make the team.

Matthews now a Chicago Blackhawk, McDavid with the Flames. Mackinnon retired at age 35, having declined at age 28/ Matthews top ranked player followed by Ranger Michkov, McDavid 3rd.

Team Rankings
1)Rangers
2) Calgary-McDavid, just one of 6 5 star players, and 4 4 star players. They should be a real force.
3)Chicago-Matthews, on a 5 star line of Demidov and Pettersson. Decent depth but poor goalies, and not as strong as Calgary
4)Detroit-Nyland/Zegras, with Lane Hutson
5)Ottawa-Have geat defence and goalie-Makar and Sorokin, not much in attack, they may pay for that.

We get 2 1st rnd picks from Seattle and Calgary, 1 from Anaheim and Buffalo, and we also gave up our first from this year. Well worth it. Maybe we need one more star defender in the next couple of years.

2031/2032 Season

I'm expeceting a 550 150 point plus season, but all eyes on Calgary to see if they can challenge!

1st Quarter,
Rangers 18-3, Flames 18-4-1. 5 others team with 7 defeats or less. On course for 544 goals.

Halfway, and we have an unexpected poor quarter! End 32-9-1. Flames are 34-7-1, to take the lead. There are several team within 4 points of us, all having played 3/4 games more. Chicago in that as well. I alter team roles, to have 2-way players in defence rather than rushing d. Zegras leads Byfield for top points and goal scorers, but 3 and 6 respectively. but has player 3 more games. On pace for just 510 goals now.

3rd Quarter: Changes work for the better, as we end 50-12-1, Calgary 50-13-1,. We have distanced ourselves from the rest. with St. Louis cloest at 44-15-4, 9 points behind. McDavid on a tear now on lead with 137 points, Zegras 130, and Zegras on 59 leads goal scorers. on pace for 525.

End of Season. We paly our two games against Calgary in the end of the season, we lose lone 6-5, the other we win 10-9! That 10-9 guaurantess us 1st place as Calgary fell off the pace a bit. A last 10 game charge saw us end up with 540 goals. Jiricek excelled as 1st d, getting over 100 points, Lahti joined him as well, an excellent debut for him. miller 95, Dray 72. McDavid won Art Ross, by 3 points, Zegras beat Michkov by 1 for Maurice Richard.

Calgary almost caught by St Louis in the end. We get 139, Calgary 124 and St Louis 123. I really hope we get Calgary for the first evenly matched sc in a while. Islanders give me decent pick next draft with a 25th place finish, but everyone else top 10 easily.

2031/2032

Adam Fox fell off a cliff this year, he may well have to go. He is demoted to third line. I realy want Rosen and Miller to get 100 points so they get 1st pp time, at expense of my best players! They'll be 1st line next year!

1st Rnd is Ottawa and we win in 5. Chicago and Calgary are through, but Stl are out!

2nd Rnd. Toronto are out, so we get Boston's Bedard and Caufield who are always dangerous, but we win in 5 despite dropping the first game. Chicago and Calgary sweep their opponents, to set up Matthews vs McDavid! the two best palyers of their generation!

3rd Round: We get Florida, who stunned Detroit in 7 who were probably the harder opponents, but Florida have Matthew Tkahcuk, Quinn Hughes and Jack Quinn with a 4 star goalie. They'll not be an easy out. Another 5 game series for us. Calgary lead Chicago 3-2, Then get thumped 9-3 to face a game 7. Game 7 goes to OT! Calgary win after 2 3rd period goals make it 3-3, and Raty gets the winner in ot!

Stanley Cup Final! Matthews and McDavid lead all play off performers with 36. My best player has 20!

Game1: 4-3 Win for Calgary, and i will put my lines back! Ot winner by Jeff Fox despite Miller equalising with a minute to go. McDavid had 1 goal!

Game2: Doesn't help as we are in an 0-2 hole! Its a 6-3 win for Calgary whose lines all score equally!

Game3: 8-4 win for the Rangers, an absolute must win! Scheidegger with 3 assists to set us on our way!

Game4: Comeback is on! 7-6 WHAT A GAME! Rangers start strong and are 3-1 up after 1. Thomas with 2 assists. 2nd period Rangers stay 2 in front with both teams scoring 2! We look to have won it by going 6-3 up with 7 to play, but Connor David leads the comeback as 3 quick fire Calgary goals tie it at 6! McDavid has 3 points. However, 1st minute of ot and its Raymond who wins it for us! Shots are 51-24 as we dominate the play bar 5 crazy 3rd period minutes!

Game5: Clgary dominate the first period and go just the 1-0 up through McDavid. 2nd perido is even, but Clgary get 4 more on the board before we get 1 back. 3rd period is a non event, both teams get 1 goal each as Clagary sees out a 6-2 win.

Game6: Can McDavid get Calgary its second cup since the Pavel Bure days? Not this game. Rangers skate to a 4-0 lead after 8 mins of the 3rd, but 2 quick goals at 9:$2 and 9:51 makes it 4-2. Raymond scores early in the 3rd, and despite Fox and Lambert goals, a Jiricek goal ends the game 6-4, and we go home for game 7!

Game7: Michkov and Bolin make it 2-0 early, as Rangers dominate 12 shots to 5. We need more goals to ice this game. Sumual gets a vital 3rd goal 5 mins into the 2nd. Adam Fox with 3 assists, to make up for his poor regular season play. Numerov not needed with only 10 shots by Calgary though 15 mins of the 2nd. Calgary can't find a way through and at the 2nd its 3-0 with shots 23-14 for the Rangers. 3rd period, Its 4-0! Bolin with his second and with 10 mins to go this game is surely over. Numerov 5 mins away from a shut out. Flames barely do anything in this period, but McDavid ruins the shut out with 2 mins to go. Rangers win 4-1 in a strangely easy game!

Hart: Connor McDavid
Conn Smyth: Connor McDavid
Calder:Jari Lahti
Norris: David Jiricek
Vezina: Sebastian Cossa (FLA)

2032/2033 Pre Season Draft

Fox gets a repreive and will stay on the team. Connor and Thomas will be 4th lines players but 2nd line powerplay. Top four will be Miller, Dray Rosen and Marejta, to try and get them 100 points. Connor, Fox and Thomas all to go next near, with maybe other as have 5 players ready to take spots. Sumual is player out for Healy.

Draft

I have 6th pick and a ton of others but all late in the draft, Sumual to Vancouver for their 34 1st.

Want a defender as don't have many in pipeline, but a Scott Stvens type player goes 2nd. I pick the second coming of Mike Richter. I use my later picks to pick a speedy forward and 2 attacking defenders. But dont think any of them make the team.

Rankings

1)Rangers-Excellent pre season.
2)Chicago-added Trujillo, to formidable front 3
3)Detroit-Zegras and Hutson
4)Calgary-2 great attacking lines, no defence or goalie!
5)Toronto-HIschier and 10 3.5 star players, i hate playing this team.

Goal is 570 goals, if i can and 150 points plus. Miller, Rosen and Dray need to step up. Carlsson getting more time on d, Fox last year.

2032/2033 NHL Season

7 seasons to go including this one. Lets see if anyone can dethrone us this year, but i tihnk we've had a strong team this year.

Start the season with a double header vs Columbus and win a combined 21-5. We are a perfect 21-0., Dray Miller and Rosen all on course for 100, but all players scoring, on course fro 632. lets see if we can keep it up.

Halfway,
42-0. Calgary are 36-5-3, we haven't played tem yet. Auston Matthews on 100, clear of everyone bar team mate Demidov. Chicago are 3rd= with Stl. on 31-11-1. Rosen on course for 150 points to smash through 100 for the first time. Miller and Dray on for over 100, but Marjeta for 84. We have 9 players on course for 100 points, its back to the old days, on course for 594 goals.

3rd Quarter, first game is @Calgary, can we set a marker down? 4-2 tight win! a 3-0 defeat by Philadelphia, knocks our goalscoring a bit, and only 6 players on course for 100, Dray on for 98, so put him on top line. Still on course for 580 goals though. Calgary best of the rest with St Louis charging. Byfield catching matthewsfor art ross, and its 4 clear of him in the goal race.

End of Season, Dray Rosen and Miller all get 100, 8 players get there, with Rosen top scoring for us with 140 pts. Byfield gets both scoring titles with 161 points and 77 goals. Rangers 82-2, Calgary 64-45-5 and StL 62-21-1. Rangers end up with exactly 600 goals!

Playoffs 2032/2033

Calgary and St Louis are the only real threats.

Rnd1: Tampa Bay win first game but then are hammered 4 games in a row.

Rnd2: Bruins, but Bedard is already aging at 27. CALGARY are OUT, knocked out in first round by Vancouver. Celebrini is leading the Blues to the 3rd round.

Rnd3: Toronto, always seem to have a horrible series against these guys. We sweep them with two close games, one in OT, and 2 thumpings.

Stanley Cup Final: Celebrini Blues beat Matthews Blackhawks in 5, to meet us in the final. Blues have MArner and LAfrenieres in their line, with a decent bunch of mid 25 year old 3 star players. I can't see them being able to beat us.

Game1: We won both regular season games; 8-3 and 7-4. Game 1 is similar 8-5. in the playoff race, Celebrini has 35, we have 9 players with 17 points or more in 15 games, and that strength in depth is too much for them.

Game2: 7-1 to the Rangers, not close, Celebrini can't add to his 2 goals in the first game.

Game3: Can the Blues get back in the series?, NO, 3-1 to the Rangers for a 3-0 serie lead, Kyle Connor, the old warhorse, gets 2 points to get us the win!

Game:4:No sweep, Blues with a great game, thanks to a team effort, Celebrini with 2 points, .

Game5: 8-1 thumping to bring home the cup! Was over early, and onto the next season!

Hart: Quinton Byfield (WSH)
Conn Smythe:macklin Celebrini(STL)
Calder: Joel Anderson (NSH)
Norris:Rasmus Dahlin
Vezina: Drew Commesso (PHIL)

2033/2034 Pre Season

Changing of the guard as Fox, Connor and Thomas all to be let go,Pipponen Ban and Mesntikov to replace them. Probably need an upgrade on D, so Roy and MIdgley two other youngsters will be traded to see if i can get the superstar d Barton who is 19. I have 3rd overall pick thanks to the Ducks, and if there's a suitable D there, then i'm set for the final 6 seasons.

Draft

I get Barton, but at the cost of 3 1st, Midlgey and Thomas! Utah instantly a threat! I pick a zubov type defender Eyyubov at 3, and that is my team done. Fox and Connor go for 5th rnd picks. They've been excellent players.

Power Rankings
1)Rangers-Very young but loss of 3 veterans will drop our goals
2)Toronto- Still haave that strength in depth
3)Detroit-Zegras and decent depth
4)Kings-Jack hughes, but not great depth
5)Wild-Shesterkin, Luke Hughes and thats it. Team below should be better.

Matthews still looking strong at 36 with Blackhawks(8), McDAvid starting to age with Flames(15) who have lost players to age, and free agency. Celebrini Blues(14) look ok.

I want 550 goals, Marjeta to get 100, and for our youngsters to improve. anything around 140 points would be acceptable.

2033/2034 NHL Season

Just 5 more season to go after this one. I have tried tro time it with the end of most real players end of career. Most likely Celebrini and Bedard as they'll bid roughly in their early to mid 30's then.

1st Quaretr, Marjeta on pace for 104 points, and Rangers 500 goals. Record 17-3-1. Pretty much as i expected, but Bedard in overdrive, on course for 200 points leading Bruins to a 17-2-1 record!

Halfway: Marjeta a shoe in now for 100, but his lack of production on the 1st lines shows, as we on course for 530 goal, rather than 600 last year. We are still too strong, 36-4-2. Boston 31-9-1. Bedard 87 points Raymond for us superb with 83. However we did lose to Toronto, so nothing automatic just yet if we meet them in th playoffs.

3rd Quarter. Few low scoring games, as we drop to 500 goal target, Raymond 1 ahead of McDavid and 4 of Bedard. We are 15 clear of nearest rivals at 56-5-2.

End of Season: Rangers 75-7-2, with 546 goals, Raymond holds off McDavid to win the Art Ross. McDavid gets the Maurice Richard. Detroit, Boston and Toronto best of the rest. Leo Carlsson just short on 99 pts, Marjeta gets 119, thats 30 points off what i epexct of my first line rw. Lines are re done for playoffs.

2033/2034 Playoffs

Have our best lines ready to go, and Islanders get thumped 13-3 in first game of playoffs! Chicago didn't make it, so Matthews again no chance of a SC, Stl actually played to their ranking and are 8th seeds in west. The west is wide open actually. We put 39 goals past the Islanders in a sweep.

Rnd2: Boston in tie of round beat Toronto, i am pleased about that, they get to meet Detroit next though. McDavid's Flames win rnd 1 in a sweep and get the Kraken. We have montreal, who actually put up a decent fight, they win game 2 10-5, and we win two games in ot, to go through in 5. That could have turned out differently! Montreal have Ortiz, a former 1st rnd pick, plays like Yzerman. Calgary escpae the Kraken in ot in game 7 thanks to McDavid!

Rnd3: McDavid's Flames blow a 3-0 series lead to get knocked out in 7! We get past Detroit in 5 fairly easily.

Stanley Cup Final: Winnipeg, are through as top seeds, they don't haev any gret players, bar their defender Simonton, an excellent shut down d. I don't think they'll have any chance against us. We won both games 6-2 in the reguilar season

Game1: 7-4 for the rangers. In a game we dominate after the first period, it takes until the third period for the Rangers to take the lead, then the floodgates open with 4 goals to end the game.

Game2: Another dominant perfomrance, but only 3 goals scored, Jets had 2 shots in the second period only! We win 2-1 as Kaiser in goal, saved 41/43 to keep them in it.

Game3: Jets get on the board! 4-2! Despite being heavily outplayed again, Kaiser again does the impossible, with 39/41 saves!

Game4: Rangers dominate play again, and this time Kaiser is helples 9-2 Rangers

Game5: In a close game, the Rangers get the SC with a 5-4 win. Rangers have lead of 3-0 early in first but late goal makes it 3-1. Early in second its 3-2. But goals either side of the intermission make it 5-2 Rangers. Two goal in 5 minutes give the Jets 12 minutes to find an equaliser, but they can't. Ohgren of Winnipeg had an amazin 39 points in 23 games for the Jets to lead scorers. DAvid Miller had 30 in 19 to lead the rangers.

Hart: Quinton Byfield (Was)
Conn Smyth: Liam Ohgren (Wpg)
Calder: Woody Cracknell (Min)
Norris: David Jiricek
Vezina: Igor Shesterkin (Min)

All time non Ranger teams

Offence

1st Line
LW: Connor McDavid
C: Wayne Gretzky
RW: Bobby Hull

McDavid never won a SC, but Gretzky and Bobby Hull did, all 3 multiple 200 point players.

2nd Line
LW: Auston Matthews
C: Mario Lemieux
RW: Brett Hull

Brett Hull was a 10 time 1st tem all star, Mario and Auston were consistent 200 point scorers. Matthews is i think top 4 in point per game average.

3rd Line

LW: Joe Pavelski
C: Sidney Crosby
RW: Gordie Howe

Howe was a 15 time 1st all star, Crosby is 3rd all time in points, and Pavelski was the best player of his generation nand was the only player to break the Rangers Dominance from the 90's till the 2030's! He has 3 Cups, while Crosby, Matthews and McDavid have none!

4th Line

LW: Teemu Selanne
C: Stan Mikita
RW: Jaromir Jagr

Selanne was excellent, and would have been the star player if not in the same time as Lemieux and Gretzky. He made the Islanders a team that made 7/8 runs to the Conference final, only to run into us. Mikita is a legend with his team mate Bobby Hull as they were dominant in the 60's with 6 cups. Jagr on a terribel Kings team was brilliant.

Honourable mentions

Lindros, Drasiatl, Malkin, Panarin, Ovechkin, Kucherov.Bossy Lafleur and Luc Robitaille

Def

1st Line
LDBobby Orr
RDZdeno Chara
Bobby Orr, was sensational, just a shame his Bruins couldn't become a great team. Zdeno Chara was the sole reason the Nashville Predators were contenders for so many years. Probably the best defensive defender in this game

2nd Line

LDRon Greschner
RDTyson Barrie

Both players top 5 for points be defenders. Greschner ran the Minnesota North Star dynasty of the 80's which won three cups. Barrie is top scoring defender for ppg bar Bobby Orr. He was a major part of the Winnipeg Jets dynasty and has 3 cups like Greschner

3rd Line

LDRay Bourque
RDPaul Coffey

Excellent players who were conisistent all stars and Norris trophy winners. Coffey has 2 sc with 2 different teams

Honourable Mentions

Dan Boyle, Brian Leetch, Pierre Pilotte, Jacquesa Laperriere, Paul Reinhart

All Time Ranger Teams

Offence

1st Line
LW: Yvan Cournoyer
C: Mike Modano
RW: Peter Bondra

Cournoyer was so good for so long, and was the dominant player in the nhl for entire 70's. Only Gretzky and Lemieux have better stats than him. Modano again was a beast for us and was the only reason we could compete/dominate in the era of so many 100 point players. Bondra holds the seson record for goals in the NHL with 110. Pretty much the only record Lemieux/Gretzky don't have!

2nd Line
LW: Phil Kessel
C: Anze Kopitar
RW: Mickey Redmond

All 200 point players or 100 goal players and were dominant forces in the NHL. These top 6 players won the vast majority of Hart, Art Ross and Maurice Richards that rangers players won. It was rare of Ranger players to win honours, Gretzky.Lemieux/McDavid/Matthews/Mikita have about 70% of the hart and art ross's!

3rd Line

LW: Garry Unger
C: Red Berenson
RW: Rod Gilbert

This team was the foundation of our early success, we won our first sc with these players.

4th Line

LW: Zigmund Plaffy
C: Jonathan Toews
RW: Vladimir Tarasenko

Toews was a regular 1st line player, but Palffy and Tarasenko scored so heavily on 2nd line duty, and had 5 years each on 1st line, when Palffy hit 200, and Tarasenko 191

Honourable mentions

Kyle Connor, Rod Brind'Amour, Thomas Steen, Cam Neely, Trevor Linden

Def

1st Line
LDBrad Park
RD[BNiklas Lidstrom[/B]

Brad Park was best player in the game for the Rangers, and is 4th all time for me, behind Gretzky, Lemieux and Orr. Lidstrom a close behind. Both these players won the most norris and conn smyth trophies.(21 norris trophies between them, and 11 Conn Smyth's!)

2nd Line

LDCarol Vadnais
RDShea Weber

Both multple winners for Conn Smythe and Norris, Vadnais scored an record 57 goals in a season for us

3rd Line

LDReed Larsson
RDGuy Lapointe

Again excellent players who won awards, andwere consitennt throughout their careers.

Honourable mentions
so many, Streit, Klingberg, Rusotsalainen, Tallon, Blake, Iafrate, Dahlin, Klingberg et all

Goalies
Tony Esposito
Igor Shesterkin

These two won the most awards with the best stats. Esposito won us cups where we weren't the best team.

Honouralbe Mentions

Mike Richter
