Wow! Vault 81 did not show up! At least the other side went to seven games. This playoff needs a good series to cap things off. I'm excited to see the matchup breakdown

Sole Survivor Series 2313
BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 26 September 2313 Sole Survivor Series: #6 Nahant Celtics (68-62) vs #2 Atom Cats (79-51) Season Series: Atom 2, Nahant 1 May 9-11 @Atom: Atom 9-7, Nah 5-2, Atom 9-8 Analysis The 2313 season is one that we can say is the unexpected. Looking back at PAM's preseason predictions, the picks were The Slog vs FHE. The Ghouls finished 4th in the NCA and reached the NCACS before succumbing to the representative, Nahant. Also, the Yao Guai were the 3rd seed in the SCA and fell in the Semifinal Round to the SCA representative, Atom. As far as the Celtics and Cats were concerned, PAM had Nahant in as the 5th seed while Atom was predicted to finish 9th in the SCA and miss the playoffs. Yet here we are. For the Celtics, they have done the impossible: reach the Sole Survivor Series as the 6th seed. They are the first team to do so and help to make this matchup a battle of the lowest combined seeds (8) ever. surpassing the 2311 Sole Survivor Series of 3-seeds Nordhangen Beach and Roxbury. Not counting the 2296 Sole Survivor Series, now renamed the CBO Leagues Title Series (2296 and 2297), this is the Celtics' first trip. Atom is making its second appearance in the Sole Survivor Series. In 2301, the Cats entered the playoffs as the 3rd seed, finishing three games back of University Point. The Cats went on to beat #2 Diamond City, 3-1, and then edge the Deathclaws, 4-3, before succumbing to Nordhagen Beach, 4-1. This season, the Cats won the Minutemen League for the first time, boosting them to their highest playoff seed in team history. Looking at a comparison of statistics,Atom has many of the same advantages Fort Hagen had over Vault 81 last season. That series ended in a sweep. The Cats have the statistical edge in every category but running and fielding. The hitting and pitching are superior, and, based on what Atom did versus opposing pitching in ht playoffs thus far, may even be a wider gap on offense than the regular season. Looking at player vs player at positions, first let's look at those and then show a comparison of the matchups as expected in Game 1. SP1 - Zack Million (12-5, 3.09) > Doug Creep (21-8, 3.07) SP2 - Matt Bowman (12-11, 3.96) < Josh Brown (9-9, 3.05) SP3 - Zane Zorro (8-10, 6.94) < Mesquite Williams (12-12, 4.21) RP1 - Butterass DeCicco (9-1, 2.15) < Junyard Gourd (14-9, 5.00 as starter) CL - Ryan Roberson (37 SV, 3.08) > Lacky Luster (26 SV, 1.80) C - Ayag Mour (.272/7/54) < Nu York (.270/14/49) 1B - Bulleye Shooterson (.323/23/81) > Joe Brocflower (.278/10/41) 2B - Diamond Ball (.301/32/93) > Lee Mayhew (.277/22/65) 3B - Zeke Zoonatik (.266/4/39) < Shane Stabb (.345/17/71) SS - Roger Coker (.210/3/29) = Patrick Funday-Monday (.345/3.12) LF - Thrifty Iraheta (.330/7/60) > Gremlin T. Squearfish (.320/14/69) CF - Grandson Quarles (.294/15/75) > Hickory Dockery (.245/14/52) RF - Gene Leftswipe (.249/16/54) < Candy Kline (.339/13/53) Atom's Shane Stabb is the offensive x-factor. At 36, Stabb is the Cats' all-time leader in games played (1538), at-bats (5559), hits (1708), total bases (2639), singles (1148), doubles (367), and RBI (849). This season, though, the seven-time All Star had a career-high 165 hits (led the SCA) and finished tied for 2nd in the SCA in average (.345) behind FHE's Cameron Triggs (.358). For Nahant, Diamond Ball makes the offense go. The former 1st-overall draft pick in 2301 by the Warwick Mirelurks (now Spectacle Island Reapers), Ball has been a Celtics leader since arriving in Nahant in the 2309 offseason. The 10-time All Star has hit over .300 in every season of his career, starting with his Red Rocket Rookie Award season in 2304. He has also hit at least 30 home runs every season with this season's 32 being his career low. Still, his 378 career home runs ranks him tied for 8th in CBO history. For the Celtics' pitching, they will need ace Zack Million to win 1 vs 1 matchups. The 2301 2nd-round pick by Finch Farm, Million was traded away to Oberland, where he made his CBO debut in 2306 as a reliever. He was traded back to the Celtics in 2307, where he was the closer but became a full-time starter in 2308. Since then, he has won at least 12 games each season. This season, he led the NCA in HR/9 at 0.4, allowing eight all season. Atom's pitching is better overall, with Doug Creep (21-8, 3.07) not considered more talented than many other pitchers performing better. Should Creep win Game 1 over Nahant, the Celtics will be in trouble since the rest of the Cats' pitching staff is more talented overall, with Josh Brown and Mesquite Williams outpacing both of Nahant's 2 and 3 starters in talent. Key Injuries Nahant RP Roy Lach (1-1, 8.23) Atom RP Lippy Lyonne (2-0, 1 SV, 1.59) Prediction Nahant and Atom have both played over their heads all season. For the Celtics, they stepped it up late to outpace Bunker Hill and Nordhagen Beach for the final spot in the playoffs. They then used that struggle to upset three straight teams on their way to the Sole Survivor Series. For Atom, despite winning their league and entering as the #2 seed, we and many others doubted their ability to win in the playoffs. Their victory over #3 FHE was considered an upset, but their 4-1 series win over #1 Vault 81 was an even bigger upset win. Looking at the two teams and analyzing their talent and production, the Cats have the advantages. We will not comment on the x-factor that could tip the scales, but we think Nahant has an even chance of winning. Still, Atom has been really good in the playoffs and we expect that to continue enough to claim a title. Atom 4, Nahant 2

Sole Survivor Series 2313
BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 2 October 2313 Sole Survivor Series: Nahant Celtics vs Atom Cats Game 3: Road Win Lifts Atom to 3-0 Lead in SSS The Atom Cats are one game away from a sweep of the Nahant Celtics after a road win at The Wharf at Nahant, 3-2. Cats right-hander Mesquite Williams had a strong outing. He threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Atom now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Sole Survivor Series. Joe Brocflower had a direct impact on the outcome. Brocflower contributed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put Atom up, 3-0. Williams called the win "a collective effort." The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Wharf at Nahant in Nahant. Game 4: Shooterson Blasts Cats, Celtics Take Game 4, 4-2 On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Atom Cats team, the Nahant Celtics had a tough assignment. Bulleye Shooterson delivered. The Celtics first baseman was unstoppable for the visitors, as he was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 4-2. Shooterson, 31, earned accolades for his efforts. The win means Nahant now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series. Shooterson contributed in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Nahant get the win. "Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Shooterson. The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Wharf at Nahant in Nahant. Game 5: Nahant Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2 Zane Zorro was not about to watch an opponent celebrate a championship on his home field. The right-hander pitched the Nahant Celtics to victory at The Wharf at Nahant, staving off the Atom Cats, who remain one game away from a title. Zorro threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The win cuts the series deficit for the Celtics to 3-2 in the best-of-7 series. Zorro gave Nahant a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 7 innings. "I'm happy we won," said Zorro. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done." Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Coolest Field in Town in Atom Cats Garage.

Sole Survivor Series 2313
BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 5 October 2313 Sole Survivor Series: Nahant Celtics vs Atom Cats Game 6: Cats Hammered by Shooterson, Drop Game 6 to Celtics The Nahant Celtics and the Atom Cats will take the Sole Survivor Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Celtics beat the Cats, 5-4, at Coolest Field in Town to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Nahant first baseman Bulleye Shooterson went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Nahant used a clutch at-bat from Grandson Quarles to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Celtics ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger. "It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Quarles said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger." The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Coolest Field in Town in Atom Cats Garage. Game 7: Cats Take Title It's party time in Atom. The confetti is flying and residents are smiling. The Atom Cats have reached the mountaintop, capturing the 2313 Sole Survivor Series today. They defeated the Nahant Celtics 5-4 in 13 innings at Coolest Field in Town to officially wrap up the series 4-3. In the bottom of the 13th, Lee Mayhew hit a single off Nahant's Moe Szyslak with one out. Mayhew then stole a base before Nu York flied out for the 2nd out. On a 3-2 pitch, Joe Brocflower hit the game and series-winning walk-off single, sealing the series for the Cats. Asked how it feels to be a champion, left fielder Gremlin T. Squearfish, the Series MVP, was to the point. "It feels great, like a million caps. I'm so happy right now, not just for me but for all the guys," he said. "We put a lot of work into this and deserve to be champions." Squearfish finished the series 11 for 32 (.344) with two home runs and nine RBI. His eight RBI in Game 2 tied the SCA record. Ace Doug Creep was named Game MVP despite not having a decision. He allowed two runs in 7.0 innings. RP Sebastian Brakefield was the winning pitcher, having pitched a scoreless top of the 13th. Nahant's Grandson Quarles tied the NCA playoff game record for triples with 2. The Cats are planning the grooviest victory parade and fan appreciation day in the land later in the week. Atom finished the regular season 79-51 and claimed first place in the South Charles Association Minutemen League. CBO PlayoffsTree Atom Cats Team Picture

Jeeze what a series! First it looked like it was an easy sweep for the Atom Cats, who I thought were the clear better team. But no, the Celtics got hot and it almost looked like they'd pull off the unthinkable!
And game 7!? 8th inning comeback to tie it for the Celtics, they force extras, and the Atom Cats walk it off! Would have been an all-time upset had the Celtics pulled it off

It definitely would have been. This can also go as one of the epic series based on the splits in wins and the last game going 13. I have not recorded individual results other than what I post here, so I would have to comb through past posts to check out those series results. I do know this is only the sixth Sole Survivor Series that went seven games. Series results: 2300 - Diamond City 4, Fort Hagen 3 2302 - University Point 4, Nordhagen Beach 3 2303 - Roxbury 4, Fort Hagen 3 2306 - County Crossing 4, Roxbury 3 2308 - Bunker Hill 4, Oberland 3 2313 - Atom 4, Nahant 3

October 2313
BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 6 October 2313 CBO Offseason Now that the full offseason has begun, we can begin to look at changes being made in the Commonwealth. In the Commonwealth Collegiate Baseball League, there are more teams joining the fray in 2314. In the Southern Commonwealth Conference, there will be four more teams joining: the Coastal University Clams located in New London, CT; the Hope Valley University Hikers in Rhode Island; the University of Narragansett Tide in Rhode Island; and the Westerly Education Academy Owls of Rhode Island. The first four teams of the Northern Commonwealth Conference also begins play in 2314 with the conference winner earning a spot in the playoffs. The four joining in 2314 are the Acadia College (Far Harbor, ME) Minks, Dartmouth College (NH) Big Green, Maine University Black Bears, and New Hampshire University Wildcats. Finally, the CCBL will also welcome four teams as part of an independent conference not a part of the Big Four conference scheduled to be in full effect in 2317. Those four independent institutions are the Bridgeport (CT) University Purple Knights, Sturbridge (MA) University Mighty Men, Massachusetts (Buzzard's Bay) Maritime Buccaneers, and the Endicott (MA) College Gulls. These four teams can earn playoff spots as wildcards only until a full conference is established. CBO Draft Preview Looking at the 2313 Rookie Draft preview, this is yet another season of the draft being top-heavy with position players rather than pitchers. In OSA's initial mock draft, youth league pitcher, SP Lane Phrasemaker, is expected to be the first pitcher selected at #19. He is the only pitcher expected in the top 50 picks, with SP John Wondewall of West Quincy being expected to be the 53rd pitcher selected. We're not sure if that is how the draft will go, but this is a draft where teams needing position players will get their fill and teams needing pitchers (well, every team) not likely to find their star here. Here is the initial expected order of picks: 1. 2B Finnan Hunt, Stonehill College, 62/80 2. 1B Sheedy Smith, Plymouth University, 52/80 3. 1B Keen Sugiura, Boston College, 47/80 4. 2B Paper Mills, UConn, 37/72 5. 3B Donovan Mackey, NEU, 62/80 6. October 2313
BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 13 October 2313 CBO Draft Preview This week, we will begin taking a deep dive into a few players, looking at what will make them successful on their way to the Show. The college ranks have begun to take hold over the youth league, meaning that there are more 1st-round players that are CBO-ready than there once were. The college ranks have become the true battleground for developing players with there still being some heavily-talented youth league players. First, let's look at the Top 5, according to the OSA. 1. 2B Finnan Hunt, Stonehill College - Hunt is projected as a 2B, where he played the most for the Skyhawks, though he could basically play anywhere in the infield. Hunt is not a thinking man, so he needs time to adjust. Luckily, he is blessed with a lot of natural talent, which will have him skipping the minors for one of the bottom-of-the-barrel teams. His ability to recognize pitches and then take advantage of them is considered generational. Some scouts see Hunt as the next Barker Cocoa in his ability to drive up OBP and OPS statistics. Easy Town should not pass up on the opportunity to attain Hunt. 2. 1B Sheedy Smith, Plymouth University - Smith is not as talented as Hunt, but don't tell him that. The mouthy 1B is a good contact hitter that has enough power to turn some of those hits into home runs. He will not be an elite power hitter, but he could still be a steady middle-of-the-lineup star and could see himself on a CBO roster in 2314. 3. 1B Keen Sugiura, Boston College - Sugiura, sometimes called "Sugar," has shown the potential to be a big-time power hitter. He also has the glove to be an everyday 1B for the team that takes him. Scouts think that Sugiura is a shoe-in cleanup hitter who will learn to be patient in time, making him dangerous for opposing pitchers. 4. 3B Donovan Mackey, Northeastern University - Mackey is a potentials guys who is still CBO-ready and may see himself jump to #2 in the draft. Mackey is among one of the better spray hitters to come into the draft, meaning that defenses cannot shift on him. Scouts like his ability to wait for his pitch, and, if his power follows, Mackey could win a few batting awards. He will be decent on defense. He can play multiple positions but will probably slot into 3B. 5. RF Marco Reader, Commonwealth University - Reader is a corner OF with a tremendous arm, causing runners to hesitate trying to advance a base. While his hitting has yet to catch up with his defense, Reader was a .354 hitter for the Terriers in his three seasons there. Scouts believe that Reader will be a successful contact hitter, but still project him to develop power in time. That may stunt his ability to play in the CBO immediately, but we expect him to get a callup by 2315. Youth Spotlights 1. RF Jimmie Dimmick, Needham Radstorm - Considered the best youth league player, Dimmick could get his name called in the Top 10. Scouts see Dimmick eventually turning into a high-caliber power hitter. He still needs to work on making better contact, which will mean he spends a lot of time in the minors. However, once he starts popping off home runs, he will move up the organizational ranks soon. 2. 1B Twin Molinere, Diamond City Newsboys - Molinere may be the most naturally talented power hitter in the draft, showing the potential to fully develop into a beast of a man. He will punish a fastball in the strikezone but needs time to develop his ability to handle off-speed pitches where almost all his strikeouts come from. He got much better his senior season, racking up just 42 strikeouts in 180 at bats. Still, at the next level, he will get a steady diet of off-speed pitches until he learns to punish them, too. 3. 1B Ahmed Culinary, Bridgewater Baristas - The 16-year-old (will be 17 later this week) shows a good combination potential in contact and power. He will need time to better develop his contact, and, like Molinere, his best pitch is a fastball. Culinary is a decent defensive 1B, but he could potentially play in other positions with development in the minors. Pitchers to Watch We mentioned that pitchers are not highly rated, but we do expect more than one team to consider a pitcher in the first 50 picks. Here are three starters who could see their name called in the 1st Round. 1. Vault Boy Barnette, Bridgewater Baristas - Another Baristas player potentially taken in the 1st Round, Barnette is OSA's top-ranked starter. Barnette has four decent pitches that will each need to be developed at the CBO level to be a starter in the CBO, but there is potential, especially with a changeup that could do damage on two-strike counts. Scouts see his potential ceiling as being a #2 starter with a more likely outcome being a 3rd or 4th starter in the rotation. 2. Ripper Kawolski, Sudbury Celebs - A kid I root for a little more than others, especially since he came out of my belly, Kawolski has a four-pitch arsenal with his cutter and four-seamer already considered to be CBO-level. He will need time to develop some other skills, especially control, but scouts believe his ceiling is as a staff ace, like his father. 3. Lucedes Windwhip, Coventry Quads - The Quads hurler recovered from an injury in 2312 to have a decent season in 2313. Winswhip has three pitches, though his changeup and fastball are further along than his sinker. He will need to develop all three and maybe add a pitch to be a starter in the CBO. Scouts see his ceiling as a #3 but think he is capable of becoming a decent starter in the majors. Closer to Watch Crash Cox, Westerly Education Academy Owls - Now that the Owls have joined the CCBL, Cox could declare officially for the 2313 Draft. WEA participated in an independent college league, so there are no official stats. What OSA scouts saw of Cox was a devastating slider-sinker combination that fooled other hitters when he came on. In his lone "blown save," Cox inherited a runner on 3B with a one-run lead and gave up an immediate sacrifice fly. Scouts love his control and movement in his pitches, expecting Cox to develop into a CBO closer as his ceiling. Initial Mock Draft CBA Premier Season Preview The 2313-2314 CBA season tips off this week when the Southie Jammers visit the Boston Bugles on October 17 in Boston Garden. We are not sure how this first season will shake up under young and motivated basketball pioneer Flash Buzzworthy running the show. BNN (which will count as the Basketball News Network in addition to the Baseball News Network) will give monthly reports on the CBA and has added the league to the tagline: "News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA." Our next update will be on November 1 for the monthly report in a rather light October schedule. Still, we will catch up on results, stats, and outstanding players when we do. Based on predictions for the opening season, here are the teams' order of finish: Northern Commonwealth Conference 1. Cambridge Tigers 2. Medford Irish 3. Salem Shadows 4. I figured that the rosters are small enough for me to manage in an eight-team league, so why not add another level to the Commonwealth.

13 March 2287
13 March 2287, Vault 114
The floor was slightly damp with a hint of tato juice and Abraxo. Flash walked to his bedside locker looking for something to do. His mother must have gone out to the common area to pick up a few supplies, maybe wash clothes, so Flash had the room to himself in the vault. His family had been in the vault since before he was born. In a challenging world, the vault was a luxury for his family. It did not function as they heard some of the other vaults had, but it was a place that sheltered Flash and his family from the elements. And the predators. Twenty total families had settled in the vault over the years. The men regularly made trips out into the wastes to seek supplies either through trade or scavenging. Flash’s dad, Monty, was one of those men. He did not speak much of his trips out of the vault but mentioned that there was nothing but death and danger above. “Stay here forever,” he would say to Flash and his mother, Edna. “There’s nothing for us out there.” The vault was incomplete. Though it had power, it was not exactly a bastion of perfection. Lights flickered in certain areas, and there were drafts blowing through open sections that had never been sealed. It was obvious to the residents that this vault had not been completed before the bombs dropped. One thing the vault did have was an open recreation area. Though Flash was only seven, he would often venture with his basketball to the gym area. When other kids were available, he would carry a bat, his glove, and a collection of baseballs. But, when it came to what he most wanted to do, Flash was drawn to his basketball. He could barely reach the rim in the gym, but he would shoot over and over and over. Basketball offered him comfort. When Flash looked in his locker, he saw his basketball and decided it was what he wanted to do. He grabbed it and started toward the gym. Opening his family’s room to head down the hallway, Flash was suddenly confused. People were running around in a panic. Mr. Hardwater, the elderly next-door neighbor was running, too. “Flash,” he shouted. “Get the **** out of here. Fast!” Flash was frozen in place from Mr. Hardwater’s harsh words. He watched as the older men and multiple women and children were fleeing toward the secret exit above ground. Finally, he saw his mother. Blood streamed down her face as she ran toward Flash. She picked him up and continued running with Flash in her arms, swiping at her bleeding brow with the back of her arm. Flash watched as his mother ran and ran and ran. It was not until they reached the ladder up to the culvert that Flash first heard the gunshots. Submachine gun gunshots. The silence was followed by screams. “I need you to climb,” Flash’s mother said, her voice whispering but quick. “Please. Go now. We are in terrible danger.” “Where’s dad?” Flash questioned. He was looking back down the hallway and saw two men carrying submachine guns turn the corner. They were dressed in suits and fedoras. It was like some of the old-time gangsters Flash saw in some of his father’s magazines. “He and the other men are out on a scavenging trip. Please, Flash, hurry. Climb fast like you do.” Flash turned toward the ladder and started scaling it. He realized he had his basketball in his left arm as he placed his elbow on a rung and then launched his right arm up to pull him up to the next one. He heard the men shouting behind him and felt his mother close enough to keep him going without looking. She kept hissing at Flash to hurry as his little arms and legs. She said to drop the basketball, but he couldn’t. He wouldn’t. It was the one thing making him feel safe. As he reached the top of the ladder, Flash saw Mrs.Hingle, the teacher. She pulled Flash through the hole, exposing him for the first time in his life to the brightness of the Commonwealth. Flash blinked as he tried to adjust to natural sunlight. He waited for his mother to come up behind him, but she never came. Mrs. Hingle wrapped her arm around Flash and led him away. He looked back and saw teenage boys securing the culvert cover. He knew his mother would never emerge. Flash held tight to the basketball. He thought of his mother. He thought of his father. He held tight to the basketball and cried.

October 2313
BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 20 October 2313 CBO Awards Winners Nuka-Hitter Award Brian DeLong has been around Commonwealth Baseball Organization enough to know a good hot streak when he sees one -- and he got to see one firsthand all year. For his standout run through the 2313 season, he's taking home the Nuka-Hitter Award in the North Charles Association. The Salem first baseman put up a batting average of .345 with 37 doubles, 1 triple, 36 home runs and 102 RBIs. He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 28. Nauseous Revere of the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud finished second in voting with 9 first place votes, while Babs Rooth of the County Crossing Bloodbugs finished third with 3 first place votes. Arakaki has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the South Charles Association Nuka-Hitter Award. "I didn't expect to hit .345 this year, that's for sure," the right fielder said. Pitcher The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Sarthis Idren, this year's North Charles Association Vim! Pitcher Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Idren compiled a 18-6 record in 32 starts, tallied 159 strikeouts in 215.1 innings and recorded a 2.93 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .225 batting average against him. He received 27 first place votes out of a possible 28. Paul Stains of the Salem Witch Hats finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Elastic Man Haley of the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud finished third. He finished the season with 21 victories and only 8 losses, with an impressive 3.07 ERA. The talented Cats pitcher started 33 games and struck out 157 batters in 217 innings and won the South Charles Association Vim! Pitcher Award. "It means a lot," Creep said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Josh Brown of the Atom Cats finished second in voting, while Exxie Summerset of the Vault 81 Dwellers finished third. He skippered the Celtics to a 68-62 record this year and a 4th place finish in the North Charles Association Brotherhood League. To a man, they all agreed that their boss was most deserving of the award. All had glowing words to say about this year's winning manager. "He just has a way with people. Coaches and players alike love him." Atom manager Josh Mustang caused quite a stir when he came to town. Noted for his feisty, no-nonsense attitude, Mustang threw his all into the 2313 campaign, winning over critics and fans as he went. He also won a few ballgames, running up a 79-51 record, which was good enough to take the first place spot in the South Charles Association Minutemen League standings. "These guys are grown men. They don't need psychobabble, they need to win ballgames," Mustang snapped at his first press conference. While his approach was controversial, even for Atom, it netted the 48-year-old the South Charles Association Manager of the Year trophy. In response to which he replied, "It ain't molecular physics, it's baseball," and began discussing potential free agents with the local media. Red Rocket Rookie All the votes are in for the North Charles Association Red Rocket Rookie Award. The honor for 2313 has been presented to Thatch Heard, right fielder for the Witch Hats. He fashioned a .361 batting average, piling up 189 hits in 523 at-bats, 27 home runs, 9 walks, 95 RBIs and a .373 OBP. He received 24 first place votes out of a possible 28. He hit .319 in 95 games while collecting 115 hits, 28 home runs, 72 RBIs and scoring 73 runs. He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 28. Alex Bragman of the Diamond City Swatters finished second in voting with 12 first place votes, while Lee Mayhew of the Atom Cats finished third. The North Charles Association calls him the winner of the Fallon's Reliever Award for 2313. The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud relief specialist out of Newbury, Massachusetts, won the award with 11 saves in 29 relief appearances, 62 strikeouts in 89 innings and 32 walks. He compiled a record of 6 wins and 3 losses and had a 2.63 ERA. He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Atom Cats reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2313 South Charles Association Fallon's Reliever Award. "I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Billerica, Massachusetts native said. For the season, Luster had 26 saves in 55 relief appearances, which totaled 60. He fanned 29 betters, while walking 27 and put up a record of 5-2 to go with his 1.80 ERA. He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 28. Spearing a liner, diving in the hole or crashing headlong into the wall makes no difference to these awe-inspiring fielders. Magicians they sometimes appear to be, showing up out of nowhere to rob a batter of a hit and to turn a hit into an out. Pitchers love 'em and batters curse 'em. These defensive wizards will collect their 2313 North Charles Association Corvega Top Defender Awards tonight: Pitcher Flirt Perez (The Slog Ghouls) Catcher Clownie Blammo (Nordhagen Beach Party Boys) First Baseman Lone Wolf Leo Gamma-Ray (Sunshine Tidings Chemists) Second Baseman Pointie Shroud (Nordhagen Beach Party Boys) Third Baseman Brass Well (Nordhagen Beach Party Boys) Shortstop Poncho Picasso (Concord Radstags) Left Fielder Gorgeous DiGiacomo (Nordhagen Beach Party Boys) Center Fielder Duff Fee (Concord Radstags) Right Fielder Gene Leftswipe (Nahant Celtics) Corvega Top Defender Awards are the symbol for defensive excellence, a recognition of the best of the best in defense. The South Charles Association Corvega Top Defender Award trophies for 2313 have been awarded to these outstanding fielders: Pitcher Exxie Summerset (Vault 81 Dwellers) Catcher Racky Westheim (Oberland T-51s) First Baseman Duncan MacCready (FHE Yao Guai) Second Baseman Ray McMillen (Diamond City Swatters) Third Baseman Notorious Fugate (Egret Ninjas) Shortstop End Yamada (Vault 81 Dwellers) Left Fielder Hondo Ohnaka (Spectacle Island Reapers) Center Fielder Earthbound Bussey (Oberland T-51s) Right Fielder Wee Willy Warrington (University Point Deathclaws) CBO Draft Preview This week, we will continue our deep dive into a few players, looking at what will make them successful on their way to the Show. Let's look at the Next 5, according to the OSA. 1. 1B Sergio Higgins, Bunker Hill University - Where Higgins thrives as a power hitter, he will need to do some work to become an effective contact hitter. Scouts love the mighty swing of the 6'5" gentle giant. However, he is a boom or bust hitter and needs lots of coaching. 2. LF Pro Jabonete, Glowing Sea College - The Glowing Ones' star hitter, Jabonete is good at getting the bat on the ball when he needs to and putting it over the fence through consistency. He is considered a good corner OF that will help him on the field wherever he lands. 3. LF Lance Tinter, Holy Cross - Tinter declared following his junior season with the Crusaders, though scouts think he could go even higher were he to develop one more season at Holy Cross. He has shown improvement each season, though, and could earn himself a spot on a CBO roster in 2314. based on his overall hitting ability and a strong arm, Tinter could be a middle-of-the-lineup RF one day. 4. 1B Phil Currew, Greenfield College - Scouts believe Curnew has the talent to make the CBO one day, but it was interesting to note that his productivity fell in each of his three seasons with the Greenies with a freshman season where he batted .393/22/64 but a junior season of .315/10/31. 5. 1B Kane Jarvis, Mass Bay University - Jarvis appears to be better at contact than power, which is sometimes a problem for a player locked in at 1B. He is a really good defensive 1B, though, and could play anywhere in the IF in a pinch. Scouts also loves his confidence and willingness to step up in trying positions, which could land him a PH and defensive replacement position in his early career as he learns CBO pitching. Youth Spotlights 1. 3B Whiz Kid Ormsby, Lawrence Barbers - A good glove probably locked in to 3B due to his superior arm, the "Whiz Kid" has his future set to attend CIT one day. Until that time, he is likely a 1st or 2nd-round pick, giving him a chance to earn caps before pursuing his technological career. Scouts love his talent and think he could be a future All-Star in the CBO. He tried out switch hitting early in his youth career, but it was obvious he was more comfortable on the right side, where he showed better power and slightly better contact. 2. LF Hunter Lacoste, Old Lyme Lake Monsters - Just a HS junior, Lacoste declared due to a CYL rule that allows 16-year-olds from new teams in the CYL to declare. Scouts like Lacoste's potential to hit in the middle of the lineup for a team, with a lot of potential as both a contact and power hitter. His defense needs a lot of work, but Lacoste should be able to work his way through the minors with a one-year head start on his class. 3. C Kare Santoyan, Nuka Academy Colamakers - Another 16-year-old declared early, Santoyan projects as the top catcher in the 2313 Draft. Scouts think that some other catchers may go earlier only because Santoyan is all potential right now. He has flashes of being a consistently-good hitter from the catcher spot and the ability to be an effective defensive catcher. Scouts think in the end his ceiling is as a starting catcher but with middle talent at best among catchers. Pitchers to Watch 1. SP Rocking Chair Potter, Georgetown Scholars - The first of a trio of children of CBO pitchers, Potter is the son of Front Porch Potter, the 21st overall pick in the 2296 Inaugural Draft. For Rocking Chair, he has a four-pitch array with his splitter expected to reach elite level. Scouts think his ceiling is as a 3rd or 4th starter on a team, but that could change if he learns to control the placement of his pitches better. 2. SP Lane Phrasemaker, Braintree Schoolboys - The son of Blaine Phrasemaker, Lane has shown the know-how to get this far, but he will need some work before he is CBO-ready. All three of Phrasemaker's pitches are expected to be good pitches, which will mean he is likely to be a starter at the next level. He will need to work on his command which gets him in trouble with high pitch counts early. That means he projects as a borderline starter in the CBO for a team with a strong bullpen to relieve him as he reaches the middle innings. 3. SP Marlin Samm, Diamond City Newsboys - The son of closer legend Josh Samm, Marlin may end up following in his father's career path with his heavy two pitch combo of fastball and slider. If his changeup ever catches up with those two pitches, he could be a CBO starter, too. What he does have is the ability to blow 96 MPH fastballs by hitters and could end up as a 3rd starter in a rotation. 4. CL Warwick Matthews, Providence College - Matthews played just one season with the Friars, having concentrated on his academics before that time. In his one season with Providence, Matthews went 2-0 with 8 saves and a 1.86 ERA in 19.1 innings. Scouts think he has enough tools to be more useful in middle and long relief, but he could be a great closer for a team one day. 2nd Round Mock Draft CBO Transactions Sunday, October 19th , 2313 Malden Grognaks: Signed RF Gurrow Walter. October 2313
BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 27 October 2313 Nahant Goes All Green One thing Jake Finch has going for him is the need for green. Thus, the Nahant franchise has announced a few changes. The first of the changes was a trade for the rights to the Leprechauns team name. Nahant and Sunshine Tidings came to an agreement to change the name of the Lowell Leprechauns (NEBL, AAA) to the Sentry Bots, formerly of Nahant's Somerville Place (BMU, A) team. That trade also included sending the Celtics' 2nd-round draft pick to the Chemists for their 4th-round pick. The Somerville Place team name will take on the Shamrocks team name that Finch Farm (NEBL, AAA) had been known as. The Finch Farm team will now return to its roots as the Four Leafs. The Leprechauns team will now be at Croup Manor, Nahant's GBRL (R) team. Formerly, they were the Inspectors. The Brockton Irish (MML, AA) remain the same. No other changes will be made to minor league teams in the offseason. CBO Draft Preview This week, we will take a look at some players that are rated a little lower by OSA but still predicted to be taken high. For one reason or another, these players are considered towards the top but may not have the current scouting numbers to back up that gamble. For the record, according to scouts, of the 1638 eligible players, 22 are rated as "very high" for their chance to make the CBO, 27 are "high," and 66 are "good." That means about four rounds of CBO-quality players in this deep draft. Based on OSA's initial Mock Draft, 10 of the "good" players are expected to be selected in the 1st round. Let's look at those players, where they are expected to go and why. 1. 11th pick, Starlight, LF Noah Sandell, Quincy College - Sandell is an interesting one. He has talent, but he may not be fully committed to baseball, making some question his future. Still, why is he 11th with a scout-designated overall potential number at 51 when there are some much higher on the scale? Consistency. Scouts see Sandell as a player who will develop steadily. While not a force, some scouts around the league think that they can make him a top contributor on the team if they can keep him interested. 2. 12th pick, Quincy, RF Chris Robinson, WNEU - Robinson decided to leave the Statesmen following his junior season with the anticipation that his scouting numbers will not improve. While he was once regarded as 1st-round possible, the mock is looking at those former numbers rather than his current scouting numbers. Robinson is good at putting wood on ball, meaning he will punch out a lot of base hits while avoiding being punched out. That kind of production is a valuable asset to helping a team score runs. 3. 15th pick, Diamond City, 2B Gabe Clark, Stonehill College - The first of two picks by the Swatters in the 1st Round, Clark benefits from a Diamond City franchise that often eschews CBO scouts' opinions. For the Swatters, then, Clark is 1st-round worthy when OSA scouts think he is more likely a 3rd. Clark's range is not quite enough to play SS, but he is good at getting to the ball and generating double plays. Scouts expect him to be a good overall hitter. 4. 16th pick, Oberland, 3B Franklin "Miko" Mikolayunas, CWU - "Miko" is another player declaring following his junior season to strike at the best time for himself. Rated as a good overall contact hitter, Mikolayunas may ultimately be punished because he does not put up great power numbers. His defense overall is OK, with him being able to play pretty much anywhere in the 3-9 spots. Scouts see him settling in at either 3B or 1B, though. In the end, we do not expect "Miko" to be a 1st-round pick. 5. 18th pick, Bunker Hill, LF Exorcist Colwell, Fairfield University - Colwell may not be rated as having a very high or even high chance of making the CBO, but he could also be misrated. Scouts see him as being a decent hitter at his ceiling and he is a good outfielder, with scouts slotting him in at LF in the pros. While he may not rate out as a 1st-rounder, Colwell is our pick from this list as the most likely to be a star. 6. 19th pick, Nahant, SP Lane Phrasemaker, Braintree Schoolboys - We featured the son of Blaine Phrasemaker before. Phrasemaker is rated as the 7th pitcher overall and 5th starter but the mock has him as the only 1st-round pick. We see more pitches going in the 1st and Phrasemaker possibly being anywhere from the 1st to 5th pitcher taken. 7. 22nd pick, The Slog, LF Hop Alston, SCB Moonies - The South Charles Bank star had some injury concerns his senior season, probably hurting his overall scouting heading into the draft. Alston is considered a power-first hitter, meaning that he swings for the fence and only for the fence. He will need a lot of time in the minors to develop as a hitter. In the outfield, he is considered to be a very good corner OF with his power numbers possibly slotting him in RF, or a team may just need him as a LF with a better-hitting RF. 8. 23rd pick, Diamond City, 2B Allen Strickland, Tufts University - Again, scouts think the Swatters will go for their own players instead of swinging for some of the elites in this deeper draft. Strickland's greatest asset is his ability to take an extra base either from being advanced or taking it himself on a steal. If he becomes a decent hitter, he could be elite in his steals numbers. He is a pretty good 2B and should contribute defensively wherever he goes. 9. 24th pick, FHE, 3B Mikita Sato, Winthrop College - Sato is a SS that scouts project at 3B. For him to be a SS, we can see the 1st-round grade since many teams are hurting to find quality depth at SS. Scouts like his power better than contact with the ability to be a 20-home run hitter for a team. What he needs to do at the plate, though, is to find patience, which will lead to more success, thus some time in the minors would be valuable for him. It is better he goes to a good team that does not need him yet. 10. 28th pick, Vault 81, 1B Oneday Golunski, ECSU - The East Connecticut State 1B, Golunski did not have the greatest senior season. He ended up .307/12/47, meaning his statistical output and ratings place him as a 4th-rounder at best. Still, here he is in the 1st Round Mock. As a player, he is definitely a good all-around hitter with his contact ourshining his power numbers. He also is a pretty spry 1B, allowing him to steal a few bases and get to some balls most 1B cannot. 3rd Round Mock CBO Transactions Sunday, October 26th , 2313 Nahant Celtics: Released 1B Andrew Liebowitz. Friday, October 24th , 2313 The Slog Ghouls: Released 1B Macho Marco Deangelo. Malden Grognaks: Signed RF Mist Azalea. Egret Ninjas: Signed 3B Kass Yates. The Malden Grognaks traded 24-year old RHP Lucky Petman to the Concord Radstags, getting 25-year old SS Hatrack Hines in return. Wednesday, October 22nd , 2313 Egret Ninjas: Signed 3B Tyrell Taylor. Oberland T-51s: Signed SP Ogre Olmstead. Tuesday, October 21st , 2313 Southie Brews: Released CF Zach Fuss. County Crossing Bloodbugs: Signed RP Chase Campbell.

November 2313
BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 5 November 2313 CBO Draft The 2313 Rookie Draft is here. Before we begin, here is the final Mock Draft as released by OSA scouts with their most up-to-date information. Best/Worst Picks by Round: 1-5 1st - Best: Pick 1, Easy Town, 2B Finnan Hunt - The most CBO-ready player in the draft went #1 overall as expected. Hunt may slot into the SS position for the Assaultrons, but he is expected to be a Day 1 starter for a franchise in need of stars. Worst: Pick 15, Diamond City, SP Petie Pembroke - The Swatters went with the son of current Bunker Hill SP Pete Pembroke. Petie was expected to go in the middle rounds, but Diamond City wanted pitchers and got them, hoping one or more develops. The Swatters also drafted my son, Ripper Kawolski with the 23rd pick, SP Strongback Grazer with the 43rd pick, and SP Marlin Samm, son of DC great Josh Samm, with the 51st pick. 2nd - Best: 34th pick, Jamaica Plain, CL Crash Cox - Cox is a talented pitcher who should see himself starting the season with the Red Rockets, though he may begin in a reliever role outside the closer position. Worst: 33rd pick, Goodneighbor, LF Chimo Gaspar - With lots of highly-rated outfielders available with the 33rd pick, the Hancocks chose Gaspar expected to go in the 5th or later. Scouts do not see him being a regular starter in the CBO, though he could contribute some late-game heroics as a pinch hitter. 3rd - Best: 78th pick, The Slog, CF Brandon Brown - Seen as a 1st-rounder by some scouts, Brown fell to the Ghouls as the 78th pick. For Brown, he goes to a good franchise that already has several guys ahead of him in the OF, so he should get some time in the minors to develop. Worst: 57th pick, Easy Town, CL Tut Cadillac - With all their needs, the Trons chose an injured (out for 6 months with an elbow injury) closer who was not that great in 2313 for UConn. 4th - Best: 103rd, Nahant, LF Hunter Lacoste - Expected to go in the 1st by many, Lacoste fell all the way to the 4th round. We featured Lacoste in our draft preview where we stated that he was a ready hitter with a need to up his defensive game. The Celtics Worst: 106th, The Slog, LF Hot Stuff Arrow - Not even picked to be drafted by some scouts, Arrow attracted the Ghouls' scouts with...well, we are not sure. In his senior season at North Providence, Arrow only started 13 of 28 games played. The Slog considers Arrow a true leader, but we are not sure how his leadership translates to minor league success. They could have gotten him 10 or more rounds later. 5th - Best: 129th pick, Nordhagen Beach, C Kare Santoyan - We featured Santoyan before as a young but talented catcher. Somehow, Santoyan dropped from a potential 1st-round grade to the middle of the 5th round. His bat and defensive ability will make him either a future star for the Boys or great trade bait. Worst: 124th, Quincy, RP Ash Downing - In a round that saw several teams reaching for starting pitching, the Gunners reached for a projected reliever at the next level. While he showed some improvement each season at Holy Cross, Downing will need to do a lot of work to be CBO-ready. Gems Per Round: 6-20 6th - 150th pick, Egret, 1B Ahmed Culinary - Also graded as a 1st-rounder and one of the 22 in the Very High Chance range for making the CBO, Culinary fell all the way to the 6th round before the Ninjas grabbed the 17-year-old. Culinary will probably start and dominate in the GBRL with Beantown. 7th - 196th pick, Vault 81, 2B Arty Sefilian - With the last pick of the 7th round, the Dwellers grabbed a 1st-round grade in Sefilian. A capable hitter and defender, Sefilian now gets some time to develop in the minors for the regular season champions. 8th - 203rd pick, Spectacle Island, 1B Twin Molinere - With an abundance of highly-rated 1B, it still makes no sense that Molinere dropped to the 8th round. A potential home run champion, Molinere now gets a chip for his shoulder as he makes his way to the Reapers' GBRL team, the Danbury Gazelles. 9th - 252nd pick, Vault 81, LF Teague Hall - Another valuable pick by the Dwellers, Hall may not have been highly regarded, but he was a good pick in the 9th round. 10th - 256th pick, Cambridge, 3B Kane Krant - Krant declared from Assumption after he was surpassed on the depth chart in his junior season. He has the potential to hit for average and pop out a few home runs. He is also a decent defensive 3B. For a franchise like Cambridge, that could lead to a fast path to success for Krant. 11th - 296th pick, Oberland, RF Mickey Bluemoon - The Beantown Sprouts outfielder did not become a starter until his senior season and still has some developing to do, but he could be a steal in the second half of the draft. Scouts like his patience at the plate but he is a full flyball hitter, meaning home run or fly out for the most part. 12th - 309th pick, Easy Town, C Fink Fairweather - One of the better regarded catchers in the 2313 draft, Fairweather fell to the first pick of the 12th round. A power-hitter, Fairweather will need to work on his catcher game to ever be a legitimate threat to break into the CBO. 13th - 341st pick, Goodneighbor, LF Sairy Wilson - Not expected to be in the top of the draft, the Hancocks still got good value with a pretty good defensive outfielder who has some potential to be a good all-around hitter. He is a player worth watching how he progresses. 14th - 384th pick, Glowing Sea, RP Jon Lucut - One of the better relief pitchers rated by OSA scouts, Lucut was not taken until the 14th round. The Radscorpions get a pitcher with one of the best curveballs you will see. He may not begin with the Scorpions, but Lucut could assume a spot in the bullpen as early as 2314 midseason. 15th - 403rd, Starlight, 1B William Aventine - Another of those 1st-round grades that fell in the draft, Aventine saw a dip in his home run production in 2313. He has high power potential so good coaching could unlock his potential. Otherwise, should he maintain his bad habits, he will see the bench with the Killers' franchise. 16th - 429th pick, Concord, C Wade Hobbes - A decent defensive catcher, Hobbes will need to improve his hitting in the minors to move up the ranks. As it stands, he should be one of the better catcher prospects, which could be useful for Concord in their attempts to build a championship team. 17th - 455th pick, Spectacle Island, RP Fallon Brown - Another reliever that was rated to be drafted much higher than he was taken, Brown saw his stock drop for good reason. In his junior season with Winchester College, Brown saw his ERA rise to 6.84. He cited some are troubles and decided to go pro to begin earning caps. He is a fastballer who can fool hitters with his changeup. 18th - none (no players expected to make the CBO) 19th - 530th pick, County Crossing, CL Quack Olvera - A closer with a CBO grade, Olvera dropped all the way to the 19th round. Injuries got in the way his final season with the Nahant Marine Institute, but he had three saves in eight appearances with a 0.00 ERA. 20th - none (no players expected to make the CBO) Undrafted - LF Sheen Doyle - The Glowing Sea College senior was not drafted despite getting a "Good" rating by OSA scouts. He has power potential but did see his home run production drop from 24 his sophomore season to just 5 in 2313. Should a team pick him up, he seems to be closer to CBO-ready than many of the other players selected. We are not sure why he was not chosen, but we do know he will return to the Glowing Ones for his senior season. And the basketball league has an error stopping me from getting past November 28 . . . I may need to go back in time and edit. But, second month of first season?!? I ran a test league before this without a problem occurring like this. Not sure what the problem is, but I will seek to continue the basketball league if I can.

Right now I have posted in the Wolverine Studios forums about what may be wrong in case it is something fixable. If not, I will probably reload. It took me a long time to edit names, but I will just take screenshots of the teams and just edit the CBA teams. Other players joining the bigs can be edited as they come. Therefore, graphically, I may mostly just post standings with occasional team features. The game is not as graphically welcoming as the OOTP game for non-played features. In fact, without controlling a team, I am not able to see draft lists, the lottery, etc. Maybe I should poke and prod a little more. Editing parts are also quite more annoying. I looked at the schedule but could not figure out what was going on. For instance, why did Salem not play an October game though the schedule seemed to indicate they should.

December 2313
BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 1 December 2313 A Look at CBO Veterans Commissioner Nate Howard has opened his "vault" of CBO collectibles, including how he tracks some of the players in the league. In addition to his lists of Inaugural Draft 1st-Rounders and 1st Overall Picks, which he tracks against each other, he also had a curious list called "OOTP." Looking at that list, which Howard would not explain, there are some players who have had outstanding careers. Let's take a look at a few of those OOTPers and how they look in history, Note: Players are sorted based on OSA's current ratings. 1. C Racky Westheim, Oberland - Westheim is the highest-rated player here, mostly because the 34-year-old is still at the top of his defensive game, rated as the best defensive catcher in the CBO. Lifetime, Westheim has a .327/102/669 line. he is a 6-time best hitter at C, 9-time All-Star, and 11-time best defensive catcher. 2. SP Beachboy Nut, Nordhagen Beach - Nut is simply the all-time greatest pitcher in CBO history and, once Howard opens the Hall of Fame, is set to become one of the first in CBO history. The 35-year-old has won the Vim! Pitcher Award nine times, has been selected to 13 All-Star teams, and currently is the all-time leader in six categories. Those categories are wins (237), complete games (71), shutouts (33), innings pitched (3402.0), Opp. OPS (.6435), and WAR (108.12). Along with Barker Cocoa, Nut is the only other CBO player with higher than a 100.0 WAR. 3. 1B/SP Lannie Tykeson, Oberland - The two-way player has seen his pitching productivity drop once he hit his 30s, but the 36-year-old is still hitting rather well. As a hitter, Tykeson is a .326/365/1130 hitter. On the mound, he is 127-102 with a 4.56 ERA with 296 appearances and 281 starts. Tykeson is a one-time Nuka Hitter Award winner, the Red Rocket Rookie Award winner, the best fielder 11 times, the best hitter 13 times, and 11 All-Star appearances. According to the CBO's HOF Tracker, Tykeson would be in. 4. SP College Luckyman, County Crossing - Luckyman has been solid for both Roxbury and County Crossing. In his career, he is 145-87, ranking him 22nd all-time in victories. Luckyman is a three-time All Star. 5. CF Jig McGhee, Salem - McGhee will pop up twice in today's update since he just went through the wire that he was traded from Bunker Hill to Salem, now his 4th team. In his career, the 31-year-old has a .311/171/636 line. He is a six-time All-Star, won the best hitter at CF once, and has a ring. 6. SP Deedee Martinson, Nordhagen Beach - Some are surprised Martinson did not call it quits after struggling through 2313, but he is coming back for more with the Boys. Martinson is 146-112 with a 3.99 ERA, including a one-time All-Star selection and one-time top-hitting pitcher. 7. SP Jaa Thirtysix, Salem - Thirtysix is 129-109 overall with a 3.93 ERA. he was selected to two All-Star games. 8. SP Emperry Alizm, Oberland - The one-time Vim! Pitcher Award winner, Alizm has been selected to the All-Star Game four times through his career 176-133 record with a 3.61 ERA. Those 176 wins ranks him 10th all-time. 9. SP Hrye Caje, Cambridge - The 27-year-old seemed to be on a great trajectory, including going 19-5 wutgh a 2.45 ERA in 2311. However, in the past to seasons, he has had some injuries, allowing him to start half the number of games per season since. Still, Caje is 58-37 in his six full seasons in the CBO. 10. RF Orcin Cardinal, Fort Hagen - Cardinal has been highly-productive, going .309/348/960 for the 31-year-old. In his 11 seasons, Cardinal has been to the All-Star Game 11 times and has been the best hitter at his position four times. Assuming he still has about four or five seasons of productivity, Cardinal could be HOF-worthy. Others to note (StLee's note: based on occasional posters here): 13. C Ayag Mour, Nahant - The seven-time All-Star, Mour is now approaching the end of his career, including getting moved from Roxbury to Nahant to try to get his second ring. At 36, Mour has a career .275/209/889 hitter. he was also the best-hitting catcher three times. 15. 1B Oren Gep, Starlight - The one-time Red Rocket Rookie Award winner, Gep has been to the All-Star Game nine times. He has a .288/478/1349 line. His 478 home runs and 1349 RBI are second only to Cocoa. He was the best hitter at 1B once. He won the Sole Survivor Series MVP in 2300. According to the HOF tracker, he is a probability. 19. CF Pockets Aintfull, Egret - The 37-year-old Aintfull was still mostly a full-time starter for the Ninjas, starting 111 of 126 games. In his career, Aintfull has a .288/46/572 line with 364 stolen bases. His 364 swipes ranks him 8th all-time. Aintfull was a one-time best hitter at CF and one-time best fielder. CBO Draft; Five to Watch in 2314 Taking a look at the 2314 Draft, there is expected to be a good class in 2314, including some pitchers expected to go early. Here are five we think are most likely to be taken #1 in 2314: 1 SP Mike Searocker, Lowell Frags - Expected to be an eligible junior, Searocker has the scouts' eyes. With a five-pitch repertoire, including a curve and changeup that may already be CBO-ready, Searocker brings a lot of junk for hitters to chase. Scouts see him as an ace as his ceiling. 2. SP Bullets Barnes, Northeastern University - In his freshman season, Barnes went off, going 12-1 with a 2.17 ERA. Should his 2314 campaign be similar, he could see himself as the #1 overall pick easily. He has four pitches with his changeup expected to remain as his best pitch. Scouts also see barnes as a potential ace for a franchise. 3. 1B Haystack Black, Revere College - Black burst onto the college scene as a freshman, batting .417/22/63 for the Riders. While scouts do not always expect a 1B to go first overall, scouts do see Black's ceiling as .350/40/100. 4. RF Glenn McBean, Revere College - The Riders may be stacked with Black and McBean bombing home runs. McBean was not as good as Black with a .407/13/42 line in 2313, but he has a better overall potential for being an all-around player. Should his home run numbers go up,. he could be taken quite early in the 2314 draft. 5. SS Sum Ozawa, Taunton Giants - The YTaunton SS, Ozawa needs to work on his defense before being a sure thing, but he has shown great strides in hitting improvement. Scouts see him as being another potential .350 hitter who can pop a decent number of home runs. CBO Transactions Monday, December 1st , 2313 The Bunker Hill 75ers traded 17-year old minor league 1B Shane Powers to the Egret Ninjas, getting 23-year old RHP Cleveland Heep in return.
