I can certainly whip something up with these colors, 20_range. It may take at least an hour or two, but I think I can certainly whip at least something up with them, while seeing if anyone can adapt the other logo design and its relevant colors into other potentially useful items here, as well. The basic idea for the Mountain Goat bit, actually, stems from when I was on a spike crew sent to Interstate State Park from our MCC base camp at St. John's Landing in St. Croix State Park near Hinckley, which is a good distance away from Duluth, for your information.
I often found myself going up and down sloped and perhaps moderately rocky and/or hilly terrain while collecting various materials to put in many of the sixty steps that I and the other members of my spike crew built and placed on the Curtain Falls Trail in that State Park. Like mountain goats often do, I scaled such terrain periodically during that spike to Interstate State Park, and it was rather fun to do so, way back when I was 18 years old, just before my senior year in high school. Suffice it to say, though, that several-days-long spike trip to Interstate State Park which I was ultimately part of with several other people at that particular time, is still one of my all-time favorite things to remember for various reasons, even until this very night. While I don't know if I'll somehow ever be able to go back to that Minnesota State Park again in this life, and to that exact part of it, just yet, of course, those days we all spent at Interstate State Park are still remembered quite often to at least some degree in my life, and remembered rather fondly, I'm quite sure, at that. Thank you very much for all three of these Minnesota Mountain Goats-related logos here, most definitely. Excellent work, whether or not you choose to do versions using dark blue and yellow as well here later on for me and/or others, 20_range. CD out.

jg2977 and CD, here are the updated uniforms of your players in my IPA.
I will also include their career stats, too. Arthyr Freeman retired in 2082 from the Hillsboro Blazers after a pretty good career at shortstop. He made the All-Star team twice, in 2076 and 2081. Gordon Freeman is just barely hanging on at 37. He really should retire. Boy, you talk about a journeyman. He has played for 15 teams in 15 seasons so far. I don't understand OOTP not retiring playing when they reach this age and this level of play. Jeff Grubin is just 29 and playing for the Red Bluff Red Sox. So far, he's just an average second baseman... good field, no hit. He led the league in sacrifice hits this year with 46... no one was close to him. What about Gordon's batting statistics, EC? And I wonder how he would be able to do with Glasco and/or Denton City, if he were to play for either or both of them next season. Looks like he may have been hindered by a number of the teams he was on in his career, as well. Think you could show me his hitting statistics soon? And didn't Arthyr also pitch at times as well in this league? I can't remember for sure if he did at the moment, though. CD out.

Gordon Freeman's Batting and Fielding Stats... he was mainly a pitcher, but he did play the ouffield sometimes.

What team is ETS? East Point? Just wondering, that's all. CD out.

He's been around a while, but I'm sure Gordon had some batting statistics as a pitcher prior to and including and after his age-31 season, seeing as you don't use the DH in your leagues, of course. Mind showing them as well, please, EC?

Looks like he's played for 14 teams, not 15, but in any case, he's seen action with a lot of teams in your IPA for some reason. That's very strange, to say the least, of course. CD out.

Okay, I often use ECK for them when I might use that team name in any of my applicable leagues, but that's also a logical team ID for them here, of course, EC. Wonder why Glasco can't ever seem to do well, or Denton City, generally. Perhaps Glasco could use a rebrand before the 2085 season, though, although that probably wouldn't boost their chances of success here, obviously. Just a thought, that's all. CD out.

Not necessarily quibble, but don't you think it rather strange that the AI doesn't seem to want to keep him on a team quite often for a full season in his career? The starting realistic ratings I proposed to you should have been able to perhaps keep that from happening, whether you used them or not, I think. Or whatever actual starting ratings that you might have created him with in your IPA. Then again, perhaps he's mainly just gotten hampered to at least some degree by poor teams and/or periodic bad fortune with the development engine and all so far in his IPA career, at least, by somewhat random chance and all, I think. CD out.

Markus and OOTP are pretty darn good at recreating MLB. Edwin Jackson, RHP, 2003-2019: 14 years Over 17 years in the Majors, Jackson's resume featured appearances for the Dodgers, Devil Rays, Tigers, D-backs, White Sox, Cardinals, Nationals, Cubs, Braves, Marlins, Padres, Orioles, A's and Blue Jays. Jackson, who announced his retirement in September 2022, made his final big league appearance with the Tigers in 2019. He's the first Major Leaguer to play for 14 teams in his career. Still waiting for a recount of the years Gordon Freeman played.

I meant on average for a typical player's career in a single major league or sufficiently-related major leagues. Of course there are several players, at least, who've played for more than 10 teams in a career, including Rickey Henderson, I believe, but not a lot of them, if I'm not too mistaken here, EC. Even given the size of your IPA, that's still a lot of teams he's been part of in your IPA, for sure, in any case. Which makes it seem rather strange to me here, that's all, that he's played for so many teams, and all. CD out.

Here is Arthyr Freeman, resplendent in his yellow, red and black Hillsboro Blazers uniform created by the great knuckler.
Hillsboro changed their colors to Black and Red in later seasons. This is Arthyr when he was voted an All-Star in 2081. CD did a great cap for the Blazers. He made the H with the lines indicating "Speed". Last edited by Eugene Church; 07-16-2024 at 05:11 PM. |

Hopefully we haven't seen the last of Gordon Freeman as an active player, though. I still think that he should have been able to stick longer with certain teams, but it seems that he has often gotten treated poorly by the AI personnel in the IPA or has ended up often getting hampered by poor-quality teams or perhaps somewhat random bad fortunes often in terms of development and all so far in his career somehow, unfortunately. CD out.

Ranford released Gordon Freeman at the end of the 2084 season.
Marston resigned him for 2085. He also played for the Nine in 2080. I really don't understand the AI in the game. Teams would release Gordon Freeman after a good year. Why didn't Bayview resign him in 2081 after he went 7-2 with a 2.50 ERA in 17 starts? Why didn't LaGrange resign him after his 15-10 season with a 3.56 ERA in 31 starts? I'd really like to see Gordon get at least ten years of Major League service time before he quits, though, even if he has little to no chance of getting into the IPA Hall of Fame, EC. Which then means that he'll likely have to play here until he's nearly 40, if not past it, of course. CD out.

20_range, thanks again for the Minnesota Mountain Goats-related items, whether or not you later do versions of them in blue and/or yellow like on the caps and/or hardhats I and others often wore while working for the Minnesota Conservation Corps in at least the 1990's while it was still known as such for its history. I hope to somehow be able to have some good related items done for them here by the end of the week, if at all possible, then, for sure. CD out.
