I'm impressed that you took the actual Green Giant name off the can... that really makes it special... now I can see where it has a cornstalk dotting the "I"... that was brilliant. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-19-2020 at 10:56 PM. |

IF anyone has any reasonable suggestions for possible game shows that could perhaps be considered for potential future inclusion in this proposed Game Show Baseball League, at least in terms of being represented in it, I'd really like to see them, please. If Sale of the Century is not represented, we'll need another show to be represented if we add a team for the game show BNN suggested to the league at the same time.
I don't think Deal or No Deal was taped in California, at least to a degree, however, so if it wasn't, we'll have to find some place in that state to put the team. But if it was, and it was in a two-team location, we'll need to relocate the team somewhere else, of course, if we're going to stick with the plan as already stated, in regards to where the representing teams will play their games in this league. I hope to see many more good and reasonable enough comments from each of you here, folks. Please feel free to make them as you each like and can, then, within reason and all, of course. kq76, I'm still waiting for your input here on my most recent work for your Vice City Electrics. koohead, we still need some logos for each of the prospective teams in the proposed Arizona-based league I've been working on for you which don't have any, it seems. Once we have those logos, I'll be able to continue here with work on that proposed league, I believe. Everyone else, please feel free to make reasonable requests or comments as you like and can and all, and I'll attend to them as quickly and as best as I can, of course, as the Lord leads and all. It may take a while to do certain uniforms and/or caps, mind you, but if I actually think I can do them somehow, I'll let you know. If not, I certainly won't lie to you and say that I can do them, for sure, everyone. Simple as that. And if I'm running into difficulty with filling a certain potential request, at any time, for instance, I'll certainly let you know, of course. CD out.

I did some fairly good items for the Joliet Green Giants too, EC. But the items you just did not too long ago look very good too, I think, for them. Good work. You know, you could keep whatever others, including 1991Twins, have also done for that particular team as well, just in case you might want to mix things up for them every so often. Especially if OOTP ever adds slots for alternate uniforms and caps and logos, for instance. These are just a few thoughts of mine related to the Joliet Green Giants here, that's all. Take them as you will or not, of course.
I'll catch you later, when and if I can, obviously, Lord willing, EC. But in just a little while, I'll actually have to be doing something elsewhere online for at least a little bit tonight. Take care, as best as you can and all, then, and I'll keep you and yours in my prayers, as always, in any case, you know. CD out.

I appreciate your views, CD... thank you.
I have never had the luxury of having an abundance of alternate jerseys and logos... I'm usually fortunate to get one good set of home and away jerseys that are well done according my nitpicky and tough standards. Most of my IPA jerseys were done 5 years ago... very few have changed over the years... low, Lawn Loaf and rocknfire7 did most of the North Island and South Island jerseys... I have been pleased with most of them and have stuck with them. I prefer one well done set to 3, 4, or 5 average-looking alternate sets. Actually you are just about the only one that will do 5-7 alternates. Most designers give one home and one away jersey and that's it.... which is fine with me if it is a skilled designer doing them... that's all I need and I'm fine for 5 real years... not game years... it has taken me about 12-15 real years to play 65 seasons in the IPA. I used crummy game-created jerseys for the first 50 or so seasons in the IPA... don't remember who said it, but they told me to have custom jerseys and caps made for the league and it would much improve my IPA dynasty report... I did it 5 years ago... all 64 teams were done... and guess what... my viewers doubled and tripled in a short time... it was the well done graphics done by some of the best graphics designers that did it. Not only did more viewers read the IPA, the new jerseys and logos greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the league. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-20-2020 at 10:34 PM. |

I must have made you at least half a dozen to a dozen alternate items, all told, for Hillsboro, if not more. In their case, you can't say I didn't give you a lot of potential options. Nor have I skimped either on the items I've done or recolored for kq76's Vice City Electrics. Now if he'd just get back to me, I could know for sure whether or not to make even more for him as may be needed and all or wanted by him.
Basically, once I have all the necessary logos for the teams I've been working on or that I might work on for this proposed Arizona-based league, which don't have them, done, then we might be able to consider the first batch of teams done and all, I think. Just need several logos, in any case, evidently. Talk more with you later, as the Lord wills and all, I'm sure, then, folks. CD out.

You did well on the Hillsboro Blazers... and you have done good work on the Arizona project. I suggest that you only take a few requests at a time from any single person... don't get involved in doing complete leagues.
You will never get anyone to create logos for a complete league... no one will do that anymore. Since you cannot provide logos, you can't do the complete league... find a league logo that has already been done and use it for your league... you just have to use the name of the league that the logo designer chose. If you find a good league logo, you could try and get someone to change the name to the name you prefer. Just do jersey and cap requests for a few people at a time... do one home jersey, one away jersey and one or two caps to go with them... don't waste your time doing a lot of alternate choices. If you don't get any requests, use that time to work on your own leagues. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-21-2020 at 01:17 PM. |

Or even work on my stories, for example, if I don't do anything else instead, come to think of it. Such as Lighting Up the Darkness, for one. I'll try to keep your suggestions in mind, of course, too, for sure, have no doubt about that at all.
I'm trying to think of things that a person might receive for birthday presents, for one of my stories, and I still need to have items that help spell out the words Cappuccino Maker, so I can use them in chapter titles. So far, I have chapters posted somewhere that represent the letters C, A, P, and am working on chapter four, which will be another P chapter, in terms of its subtitle. I have so far had chapters with items found being a cookbook, a piece of artwork, and plushies. The current chapter will have puzzles in it, but I don't have items decided for the letter U, one of the other C chapters, the letter I, the letter O, and all five letters of the word maker. One of the C chapters will be represented by a camera, and N will be represented by a necklace, however. Do you have any suggestions for possible one-word birthday presents that might fit for a 48-year-old woman, perhaps, EC? Just wondering, that's all. Thank you for your time and attention and advice and all, EC. And as far as matters related to kq76, I am not worried about him at all. Concerned, possibly, but he apparently doesn't often post a lot on the forums in very short periods of time, if I'm not too mistaken here. Will write more later, as the Lord leads and all, I'm sure, somehow. Until then, I'll close this post here, I think. CD out.

Buy her some pretty earrings and give her some beautiful flowers... take her to dinner at a really good restaurant like overly-outpriced Ruth's Chris Steak House... the food is delicious, even the vegetables, appetizer to dessert but grossly over-priced... about $150 a couple for lunch... but my wife is a gift from God and very much worth every single, solitary penny.
The earrings don't have to be expensive... just pretty... most people can't tell the difference between glass and diamonds... expensive jewelry is a waste of money in my opinion. Flowers are the way to a woman's heart.... tender love and care will go a long way, too. My wife loves flowers... I use to give her flowers delivered to her office at LSU each day on her birthday and on our anniversary each year for over 25 years... all the women in the department loved EC... they wanted me to teach a seminar for husbands at the school... and since she retired, I still give her flowers on both days... take her to dinner, too. Coming up on January 16, 2021... our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Yep, gonna take my wonderful little lady to Ruth's Chris Steak House. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-21-2020 at 03:09 PM. |

Well, in the relevant story, people she lives with, and friends of hers, are going to leave gifts for her in various places around their property or send them to her if they can't be where she lives in person, or give them to her directly, Eugene. I'm trying to plan out the rest of the story, but am not yet entirely sure what certain people should perhaps give to the character in question where appropriate enough in the story. Also am trying to make sure that whatever the presents are, they fit the character in question for the story.
Thank you for your suggestions, in any case. CD out.

Your math may be off slightly for Avalon's Oldtimers/Valiants in terms of their overall win-loss record in their previous seasons for your various recreational league, EC. I think you accidentally added a game to their overall totals that hasn't actually been played yet, in terms of your previews of the next season for the applicable recreational league. Just thought you should know, that's all. CD out.

And actually, I've never even had a girlfriend, Eugene. I was talking about a character with a November birthday, in fact, for the story in question, who was now that aforementioned age in it. Thanks for the input, however. CD out.

Eugene, you may want to check the math on the actual win-loss totals for several of your recreational leagues' teams, whether current teams or former teams. The math on Avalon, for instance, only works out to 90 games played, but you have them listed with a record of 39-52 in your most recent previews for the relevant recreational league setup. Just thought you should know. That is all. CD out.

Thanks for catching the errors, CD.
I have played the first games of the 1954 season and those numbers are included in the teams' overall records on their home page... by mistake, I used the those numbers in my preseason preview. I think they are correct now. |

I think I've figured out several other items that could perhaps be used as birthday gifts for the fictional character in question with a November birthday, but I still have to figure out some potential gifts that could be represented by certain letters in chapter titles for that story, in truth. Hopefully I'll be able to do so soon enough, of course. And hopefully, I'll be able to somehow finish the chapter I've been largely stuck on for a while for Lighting Up the Darkness by the end of the month, somehow. Lord willing, of course, that is.
I'll catch you later, I hope, then, EC. I'll see what I can do for captaincoop17, but the maroonish color may be hard to work with if I try to do a set for the Portland Loggers, for instance. I may have to use another color instead of maroon for Portland, though, if I try to do a set for them somehow. CD out.

As far as Joliet goes for their potential sets' items, not only do you have the items you did for them, you also have the items 1991Twins did, the items I did, and the items other people may have already made for your use. Or at least the possibility of having them available for your use, if they haven't already been overwritten in or removed from various posts on these forums, I think. Supposing, of course, that you've seen them and/or downloaded them at some point, you know, Eugene. CD out.

Based on my viewing of the relevant map, Hillsboro is just a bit to the south-southeast of Ozarka on a river in your Silver Mountains range, it seems. Am I right, Eugene? CD out.

Chapter four done and posted for that fanfiction story now. I have some ideas in mind for other chapters, in terms of possible birthday gifts for the relevant fictional character, but they have yet to be written, of course. Thanks for your suggestions, in any case, EC. Don't know if I'll actually use them, for the relevant fanfiction-type story, but thanks anyway, whether or not I do.
Am making a little progress on Lighting Up the Darkness, but still have a rather good portion of writing to do for its current scene, to be sure. I suspect it may be rather difficult, at this point, to get chapter eleven completely done in first-draft state by the end of the month, though. I'm quite a bit behind my planned schedule here, but hopefully this other story will give me some ideas that I can use to continue things with Lighting Up the Darkness well enough, somehow. Lord willing, of course, that is. Will write more later and all, as I can and all, I'm sure. Until then, I'll close this. CD out.
