1947 rookies import a Curt Robert and Curtis Roberts. Both have the same birthdate (8-16-29), but I could only find one on baseball-reference.

Curt: Historical ID: robercu01; Historical Minors: robert0001cur
Curtis: Historical Minors ID: robert047cur

Curt matches the real life Curt Roberts, but only shows 4 games with the Kansas City Monarchs in '47.
Curtis' real life stats only shows 13 games with the Kansas City Monarchs.

Real life Curt has 19 games with the Monarchs on the bb-ref page.

Thanks. I think they got double entered b/c Seamheads has the first name as Curtis. In either case, it is now one man, and the stats updated.

The birth date for R.T. Walker (walkert01 / walker000rt-) appears to be off by NINE YEARS on the database (should be 1914). Also, I cannot figure out for the life of me where Arboa, Florida is supposed to be -- it doesn't show up on any search engines, and as a longtime resident of the state I can't say I've ever heard of it. I dropped a note to the folks at SABR (who have a bio up for Walker) to see if they have any info.

That's an odd one. I searched ancestry.com for Robert Walkers around Homestead Pa in the 40's and got two records for the same guy. No middle initial noted, only non-white guy with the name, Census placed his birth at an estimated 1915, 5th grade as highest completed grade, lived in Clairton, PA at the time of the card filing and the draft card had him born on 29 Aug 1913 Clover, Virginia, USA.

EDIT: for what it is worth, this what Seamheads says "Born: August 3, 1910 in Arbon, FL". In the meantime, put him at 1914 as a DOB.

Never heard of Arbon either, but at least it seems to be an actual name rather than a mosquito-borne disease . Maybe go with Clover as a placeholder?

Could it be an error from them... the only city in the USA I can find named Arbon is in Idaho and doesn't seem to exist anymore (there was 10 people living there in 1960).

Found this one rather by accident: Bill Harbidge (harbibi01; should be Bill Harbridge with a second 'r', by the way) is credited as playing for the Sheboygan Indians in 1941 at the ripe age of 86 (19 years after his death)--his stats look to belong to Warren Harder (harder001war).

Bill fixed and Warren Harder created so he could claim back his batting stat line. Added his fielding and pitching lines. thx!

I believe I found a small error in the transaction file:

oberkke01,1/1/1985,F,,SLN,

If I'm interpreting the file correctly, the team should be ATL, not SLN, as I couldn't find any other line that would put Oberkfell onto the Braves for the 1985 season, which is where he was for the next few years after his 1984 trade from St. Louis.

Scheduled game cannot be completed

I get error message "scheduled game can not be completed. League not in regular season." It starts out with random teams from the eastern league. After I delete that league I get the same message for MLB games for my team (Cardinals).

Appears to happen when/after KBO and MLB affiliate leagues are added to game.

Not a historical database issue but if I had to guess, something got changed such that a milestone like the "Opening Day" trigger got removed/moved for various leagues.

New update caused issue 2005

Historical Replays starting before 2005, after the .100 or.101 update, the Expos stay in Montreal. They do not relocate to Washington. Same issue in three different replay attempts, one with me as GM of Expo's and two when I was GM at a different city/team.

Can we change real world with that alternate reality...

I thought of you when I read tem316's post, AESP

tem316, I just ran from 2003 into 2006 and had Montreal become Washington. So, let's check the file itself (I assume you are pointed at the default /stats folder and not running an alternative database that may have a different Teams configuration). To check the file that OOTP uses to move the teams, go to the OOTP Main Start page. Click "Settings". When the pop-up comes up go to the Troubleshooting tab. There will be a button saying something to the effect of "Open folder with customizable data". Click that. Go to the /stats folder and open it. You will see a file called "Teams.csv". Open it. Scan down to 2004 and into 2005. The Franchise that was Montreal should become WAS.

The other thing to check is in the Settings. When you start a game in the Historical Wizard, ensure that "Enable Automatic Expansion" is toggled on (right-hand side of Step 2). Otherwise, team movements and expansions become manual actions. Here is a screen shot of that setting in the Wizard and a screenshot of it once a game is started (left-hand side, in case you want to check this for the games where the Expos stayed).

As you can see from the description in the Wizard, "Historical Auto Expansion" controls more than literal expansions like Florida or Tampa Bay - it also controls team nicknames and city moves. So, my guess is that your games have had this unchecked.

Braves 2016 Minors practically missing

Hello all!

Started a new historical league for 2016 (hoping to get the Guards the title!), yet the Braves have practically NO minor league players. It only has 15 players in AAA and 16 players in AA (or vice versa). That's it. So you're missing players like Max Fried who was playing A-ball at Rome. I've created two games (one yesterday, one just now), same problem.

Everyone else seems to have a full roster in terms of numbers.

Is this a database issue or something deeper? I posted it as a bug but if it can be solved fixing things in the database and released, then good but in 2021 minor leagues, none of them have BABIP's set and it causes all players to hit sub .100.

I switched my AAA to .306 (which the game recommended when I put .297 in it said I should use .306) and all the batting averages of my AAA are normal.

I got it. It's related to Braves players missing stat lines in 2016. It's posted as a PT

Go ahead and post the BABIP issue as its own PT as it's unrelated to the narrower issue of the 2016 Braves' stat lines.

Should questions on transactions be posted here?
I have been using actual starters for the 19th century.
I am up to 1889 and have found a few players that a transaction date would need to be corrected.
Because they were either released too soon or not signed quick enough for a team on which they started a game that day.
