The representatives of two venerable New York neighborhoods battle for the early bragging rights in a deep race. The most remarkable, albeit negative, start is Bluffton's 0-21 stumble from the line, making Asylum's 1-11 stagger seem almost energetic.

Boulder City leads the way. If not for Shinbone's three victories over Gear Terrace, the Warriors would be leading the way.

Everyone's had a game now (just). After mistakenly being left in Gold, dominant Cary also fall short of the required games for a crown. HelthWyzer are looking formidable so far, and Brooklyn/Seattle look set for a good battle. Babel, if I remember the fixtures right, could come with a charge towards the end of the season, or at least act as spoilers for someone!

Coney Island leads a deep well of contenders with Algoma and Keystone in hot pursuit. Bluffton, barely, broke into the win column.

Shoebox bounds in front, as Gear Terrace continues to struggle against Shinbone.

Despite their continued struggles with division-rival Shinbone, Gear Terrace makes it to the top in OL B234. The Stars hold an 8-6 advantage on the Warriors, but the Kiwi team leads both the AC and OL. In the same way, Shoebox has their Achilles in Asheboro. The Road Dogs lead their season series with the Legends, 5-2, while Shoebox has the best record overall in Bronze 234.

Gold is also quite nicely poised with a couple of months to go.

Shinbone continues to beat Gear Terrace to make it to the top in a very tight race in Bronze.

There are just enough games left that the 4 contenders all still have a shot, but, with only 3 games (v Nowhere), Silly are firmly in the driving seat.

Just 4 games remaining - Brooklyn hosting Seattle. Only a sweep will do for the Steelheads, or the Crakes have it in the bag!

the AC is like 1968 when it comes to batting, as Waffletown's Jackie Robinson currently leads the league with a "scorching" .305 average

While Shinbone and Gear Terrace continue to battle in both the OL and AC West, Asheboro, with the worst overall record of any OL team, has slipped into the lead of OL B234.

The road to the OL title...is I-95. Asheboro's 3 remaining OL games are against Daytona Beach, while all of Shinbone's remaining 9 OL games are against Boston. Six of Gear Terrace's remaining 9 OL games are also with the Red Sox.

Congratulations to the Silly Mad Brewers! They kind of defied the odds, but that's the beauty of OL.

Knockemstiff and Paxville will collide again if the Shiners can come through the wildcard. Port Ruppert and Silly will have to settle with beating up on Gold next week.

For the Kauff award, Paxville and Port Ruppert's Eddie Collins', along with Knockemstiff's Babe Ruth and Ralph Kiner were top performers. But, I'm leaning towards Knockemstiff's Honus Wagner as the highest impact player, with 22 HR 5.5 WAR and a 147 OPS+ from just 94 starts + pinch hits.

With 19 wins and great numbers across the board, Paxville's Pedro is a fairly straight forward choice for the True award.

No relegations this week 'cause everyone's in the playoffs!

Again, quite complicated choosing the Kauff award. A Cary trio all did good things - Ted Williams led the league with 114 RBI, Eddie Collins led the league with 8.6 WAR, and Tris Speaker led the league with 120 runs. But my choice is HelthWyzer's Dan Brouthers who put up an exceptional 1.012 OPS/176 OPS+.

There was no shortage of other-worldly pitching, but Cary's Sandy Koufax somehow managed to separated himself as the clear standout for the True award.
