The National League is seeing a race out of the gate, as St Louis and Boston came out swinging. Not so over in the American League. Detroit is holding off the rest of the pack

June 1st 1909 Update
The St Louis Cardinals are off to the races in hope to stay one step ahead of the Boston Doves. Meanwhile at the bottom of the National League standings are the Brooklyn
Superbas, they lost 12 in a row at one point during the month. The Washington Senators caught up the Detroit Tiger in the American League.

Record 26-17: 1st Place tied with Detroit
We lost Cy Young for the next two seasons (15 to 16 months) with a torn rotator cuff injury. Cy might retire after the season ends. Bill Donovan is back from the DL.
Walter Johnson is 9-1 thus far in the season.

July 1st 1909 Update
A couple of streaking teams this past month. The Brooklyn Superbas bounced back from their 12 game losing streak in May to a 12 game winning streak in June.
Bottom place New York Giants lost 10 games in a row. National League leader, the St Louis Cardinals increased their lead over Boston despite the fact the Doves,
Ed Walsh, pitched a no hitter earlier in the month. Over in the American League, the Naps have claimed the top spot as the Senators fizzled during the latter part of
the month

August 1st 1909 Update
Both the Cleveland Naps and the St Louis Cardinals have the momentum going in the right direction. The Cardinals reeled off 13 straight wins while the Naps went 22-7 during July.

1909 Final Standings
The Cleveland Naps will take on the St Louis Cardinals. St Louis set a record for the most wins by any team in the league, ever with 110. The Naps will be making their 7th
appearance within the past 9 years. Walter Johnson from the Washington became the second Senators to win the Pitching Triple Crown, not since Al Pratt done the feat in
1873 has one been seen in the nation's capital.

Cleveland surged to the top of the American League to be tied with the Boston Red Sox. Over in the National League, the Reds and Doves are tied.
Both league have seen seesaw lead changes throughout the month of June.

July 1st 1910 Update
Cleveland and Cincinnati are beginning to distance themselves from the rest of the teams. Naps were 17-7 in June while, the Reds were 19-9. Reds' Jim Scott tosses a No Hitter on June 3rd.

Increased competition has resulted in the leads shrinking for Cleveland and Cincinnati. New York Highlanders, Washington Senators and Boston Red Sox are the hot teams in the American League.

The New York Highlanders catch and pass the Cleveland Naps for the top spot in the American League. Over in the National League, the Cincinnati Reds shook off a 7 game
losing streak to stay atop, and have opened a 6 game lead over the St Louis Cardinals.

I try to get the main players from the era a change to do what they did in real life. The AI has trouble doing so. Also in past versions when I come across Cy (Before I pick him up or trade for him) he does not do as well,

There are around 20 games remaining in the season. Both leagues are seeing resurging teams square off. New York Highlanders have seen their lead shrink to 1.5 games with
the next two teams withing 3 games. Over in the National League, the Reds have a five game lead over St Louis.
