Happy Opening Day! Excited to see how the new expansion teams do. Might be a tough one for the Radscoprions as they don't seem too interested in improving the lineup. At least not much depth should've kept them mostly unscathed in the expansion draft lol

Brotherhood League

The Slog has a one game lead over Salem, Nordhagen Beach, and Malden. Easy Town, Far Harbor, and County Crossing are two back, while Nahant takes up the rear at three back. No team in the NCA has better than a 6-3 record or worst than a 3-6 record.

For the Ghouls, winning is an expectation. After winning the Sole Survivor Series in 2314, The Slog has missed the playoffs two of the past five seasons. That includes last season when the bottom fell out on the way to a 59-71 finish, their words season since 2311.

This season, the Ghouls have started out fast, thanks in part to scoring runs and holding their opponents down. The Slog is tied for 2nd in runs scored (43) and 4th in runs allowed (29). For hitters, SS Zap mast has started out hitting .333 to lead the team 2nd in team average (.268). LF Hammer Longball (.219/3/9) leads in homers and RBI. On the mound, SP Buzzcut McDonald (3-0, 1.64) has had an excellent start, winning all three times he started a game. The starters have the best ERA (2.47) with Maverick Rizzy (0-1, 2.31) and Chemmix Tailorman (1-0, 2.63) also below 3.00.

Institute League

With a four-game winning streak, Lexington is now tied with Concord atop the IL. Fort Hagen is a game back as the only other team above .500. Bunker Hill, Starlight, Nuka World, and Cambridge are all two back in a tie for 4th place, while Sunshine Tidings is alone in 7th.

The Chemists are expected to be one of the best teams in the CBO this season, a step up from being the 6th seed in 2318. Instead, they are off to a poor start in all areas of the team. Sunshine Tidings are 12th in runs scored (29) and tied for 10th in runs allowed (39). One player not struggling is 2B Johnboy Zikmund (.406/3/9). Rookie LF Pepper Spicer (.270/2/4) has also contributed on offense. On the mound, ace McRicky McWilliams (0-2, 6.88) has struggled. Second-year pitcher, Eta Candy (2-0, 2.63) has been the best pitcher.

Minutemen League

As mentioned, the Cats are the CBO's top team at 7-2, while the ML is also host to the two worst teams in the CBO. Jamaica Plain is a game back of Atom, followed by Southie at two back. Goodneighbor is alone in 4th place at 4-5, while University Point and Spectacle Island are each tied for 5th. The Mirelurks and Granites round out 6th and 7th place.

The Cats are absolutely dominating on the mound, giving up just two runs per game (18) to lead in runs allowed and Starters ERA (1.95). Offense is tied for 3rd in runs scored (42). 3B Zeke Zoonatik (.345/1/5) is the team leader in average, with RF Candy Kline (.270/3/8) is the homers and RBI leader. The top three pitchers all have an ERA below 3.00 with K-9 Creep (1-1, 1.20) and Melvin Terminator (2-0, 1.12) with ERAs below 2.00.

Railroad League

This is the one league without a solo 1st place team at nine games into the season. All of Vault 81, Glowing Sea, Providence, and FHE are tied at 6-3. Oberland and Egret are each a game back, with Roxbury two back, and Diamond City in last place at three back.

The Swatters have bee successfully, including winning the Sole Survivor Series just two seasons ago, on their dominant starting pitching. While the pitching staff is not doing that bad, tied for 5th in runs allowed (28) and 5th in Starters ERA (2.91), the offense is extremely poor. Diamond City is dead last in the CBO in runs scored (14 or 1.56 per game), 8 back of the next worst team, Spectacle Island. LF Ready Freddy Mobley (.323/1/5) is the only player hitting above .300. The return of SS Alex Bragman (.300/0/0) should help. But the rest of the offense has been atrocious. On the mound, everyone but ace Macho Lopez (0-2, 4.24) have an ERA below 4.00. Fourth-starter, Buffalo Jung (2-0, 1.20), has been the best and has two of the Swatters' three wins.

They are off to a decent start but it is still early. Alex Language (3-0, 0.87) and Black Red (0-1, 1.26) have had a great start. The offense is struggling a lot with only two player hitting over .200: Stormin Normin MacDonald (.333) and Enigma Montgomery (.206). They will need to start hitting for there to be any chance to make the playoffs.

Amazingly, they swept Jamaica Plain to start the season, winning 3-2, 2-0, 4-3.

Yeah the offense continues to hold them back. Hopefully Saw can have a nice rookie breakout to give Enigma some support. The pitching is built for the playoffs
