Due to the fact Tewa Kiram appears unwilling to defend a title he won late last year in his shocking 1 punch 2nd round KO of Keith Thurman, the WBO decided to let Devon Alexander fight Sebastian Formella for the vacant title in Germany.

The German fought bravely but was just in over his head as Devon battered Formella for 10 rounds until finally knocking him out with a left cross at 2:05 of the 11th.

Scores read 100-90 & 99-91 twice to reflect Devon's dominating performance as he moves to 15-2.

Taking what he thought was an easy fight for good $ in the Ukraine, Shawn Porter agreed to fight Ivan Redkach in his 2nd title defense of his WBC belt.

Porter appeared in control but in the 5th a combo dropped Shawn for a count of 3. The champ didn't appear to be in trouble, KD's do happen.

However - Ivan wasn't done, in the 6th a vicious right hook dropped SP once again - this time for a count of 9!

Shawn got up only to be sent to the canvas one more time by a rib shot - one more count of 9.

A left cross from Ivan finally did in the champ @ 2:42 of round 6.

Shawn is now 13-2 (11 KO's) & this was Ivan's 1st fight at 147 - thanks to Ice Tea for recently creating this WW version of him.

Ray Mancini appeared old & washed up when Yordenis Ugas dropped down from 147 to violently take the WBC JWW crown from Ray via a 4th round TKO a couple years ago. Ugas dropped Ray twice & landed 47% of his punches to Ray's 16%.

So when new WBO JWW champ, Yves Ulysee, was offered a big $ fight with Ray in Youngstown, Ohio, Yves figured why not, what harm could a man 27 years older than him really do?

Turns out - a lot! Ray saw how Yves fought toe to toe & in the trenches with John Molina to win the crown & thought at worst he had a punchers chance.

Ray basically dominated the entire fight dropping Yves 3 times in the 1st 9 rounds with vicious hooks & in the 10th, 3 more hooks dropped Yves 3 more times & the fight was stopped @ 2:43 of the round due to the 3 KD rule.

Ray was up on the cards: 90-79, 88-80 & 89-79 as well as PL, 276 (28%)
to 153 (39%).

Ray's now 14-2-1 with 10 KO's

Andre Dirrell, coming off an 11th round cut TKO win over Callum Smith to win the belt didn't pick a soft touch for his 1st defense - current WBC MW champ, Gilberto R. Sanchez.

GRS came into the fight 5-0 (all KO's) @ 168 so he's used to this higher weight class & in the 1st 2 rounds it appeared like Andre was in for a long night.

But then The Matrix arrived & showed what a master boxer he really is. By the 7th round GRS was getting frustrated because Andre refused to stand & trade as Daniel Jacobs did when GRS destroyed him to take the WBC MW belt last year.

In the 8th a quick combo sent GRS to the canvas for a 3 count & in the 13th a quick hook dropped GRS once again. In the 15th Andre went for the kill basically beating up the tough Mexican but in the end it went to the judges:147-138, 148-137 & 149-138 for the blowout win.

PL: 448 (42%) to 194 (19%) for Andre in his most impressive win.

He's now 27-3 & after 1 more defense this year he hopes to get WBA champ - Felix Sturm into the ring once again next year. Sturm took the belt from Andre last year via decision in a fight that AD came into soft.

Making his 10th defense, IBF champ Julian Williams agreed to go Down Under to face Jeff Horn - making his debut @ 154.

Even making the JMW division appeared to be an issue for Horn as he struggled to make 154 @ the weigh in.

The fight went back & forth between the two evenly matched fighters even though it seemed J Rock was in control. In the 15th sensing he needed a big round, he went after Jeff & dropped him for an 8 count.

The fight went to the cards with JW retaining his belt once again: 143-141 & 144-140 twice.

Julian also was up on PL: 426 (42%) to 287 (24%).

J Rock is now 15-0-1 with 8 KO's.

Peter Quillin reluctantly agreed to go to Germany to face WBA SMW champ - Felix Sturm. Sturm's a very tricky boxer with a solid chin who was making his 3rd title defense.

Peter appeared to be landing the bigger shots 257 punches (14%) but the crafty German was much slicker and more accurate landing 360 (46%).

In the end, Peter won a SD (141-146, 143-142, 144-142).

Peter won the last 4 rounds on the South Korean judges card to pull out the fight 143-142.

Felix is now 9-1 (1 KO) @ 168 & Peter's 4-0, 3 KO's,

Boxing in Belgium as Tony Bellew made his 4th title defense with a 12 TKO of Bilal Laggoune.

Tony was in control the entire fight dropping the Belgian 3 times before the end came @ 2:02 of the 12th.

355 (40%) to 197 (24%) & the judges had it 105-101 & 107-99 twice.

Tony's now 13-0 all KO's @ CW as he tours Europe defending his belt.

Andrew Taibiti won the title back in March with a 10th round TKO of Maxim Vlasov & sure didn't pick an easy opponent for his 1st defense - the dangerous & always thrilling, Enzo Maccarinelli!

In addition, Enzo was the hometown fighter so on a rainy day in Wales these 2 evenly matched warriors put on one heck of a fight!

A real back & forth affair where when it seemed 1 fighter was taking over, the other came back even harder. In the end it appears youth was served & Enzo being 9 years older helped the champ retain his title - an uppercut dropped Enzo for a count of 7 & then a combo from Andrew ended the fight at 1:37 of the 13th.

Andrew was up 288 (31%) to 174 (19%) in PL & 116-112, 115-113 & 118-113 on the cards.

Enzo's now 29-3-1 with 22 KO's.

London - Making his 4th defense, Antonio Margarito came to England to face the unbeaten & dangerous - Kell Brook.

Kell came into the fight as a former WW champ with a combined record of 30-0 (25-0 @ WW & 5-0 @ JMW) & gave the champ all he wanted in a real give & take battle!

In the 11th Kell went for broke & really hammered AM but the champ withstood the firestorm & unleashed his own return fire in the 12th forcing the ref to step in at 2:55 of the 12th.

AM had a lead in PL: 234 (28%) to 203 (30%) but 2 judges had Brook up 106-103 & 105 to 104 while Kenny Chevalier had AM up 109-101.

AM is now 20-3 with 18 KO's.

Terrance Crawford moved to 6-0 (all KO's) @ WW in making his 3rd title defense via a TKO in the 6th @ 1:36 of the round over former IBF champ - Rafal Jackiewic.

Bud was forced to come to Poland to make this defense because he's having a hard time finding Americans who will fight him. Bud dropped the Pole in the 6th with a body shot for a count of 7 & the ref stepped in shortly afterward to stop the fight due to a cut over Rafal's right eye. Rafal's left eye was also swelling.

2 judges had the fight close @ 48-47 & the 3rd had it 50-45, all for Bud.

Bud also had the PL lead: 181 (28%) to 65 (18%).

In what appeared to be a routine, easy defense, Julian Williams got caught in a barrage of punches & knocked out @ 2:05 of the 7th from Spain's Isaac Real.

Julian was dominating, up 197 (30%) to 78 (17%) in PL & all 3 judges had him up 60-54 on the cards.

This was supposed to just be a tuneup for bigger things in 2021 for Julian, instead he got caught & is now an ex champ @ 15-1-1 with 8 KO's.

Fedor Chudinov has bided his time, building his record to 12-0 & was finally given a title shot against IBO SMW champ - Andre Dirrell.

Dirrell just made his 1st title defense earlier this Fall with a dominating 15UD over WBC MW champ - Gilberto R. Sanchez so he wasn't expecting much trouble from the Russian.

In a close fight (Dirrell up on 2 cards: 40-38, 39-38, 38-39) Fedor unleashed a vicious combo that knocked Andre out @ 2:04 of the 5th round!

Andre also had the PL edge: 120 (33%) to 87 (31%).

It was the most brutal loss of Andre's long career & falls to 27-4.

Making his first defense at home, Beibut Shumenov chose former NBA player & Washington Husky - Nate Robinson.

Many boxing pundits wondered how/why Nate even got a title shot?

Well Nate proved he belonged early when he caught Beibut with a hard upper that caused the champ to back off. Then in the 4th, Nate actually dropped the champ with an upper for an 8 count!

BS recovered & 2 rounds later dropped Nate with a combo. Beibut finished matters in the 10th with an upper of his own - 2:38 of the round.(The 10th is the same round BS knocked out Richard Hall to win the title).

BS held the PL edge: 300 (30%) to 120 (22%) & on the cards: 88-82 & 88-81 twice. Beibut moves to 5-0, all KO's @ CW.

When asked afterwards, the IBF President said Beibut probably can't fight another former NBA player in his next defense.

That's a good question, I have that game on an old computer & that's the only thing I use that one for. A guy named Brian in Alabama puts out NFL, college BB, FB & NBA teams.

I used his stats for the 2020 NCAA BB title & Creighton slipped past Michigan State for the title.

Apparently guys use DosBox to play that game now.

Devon Alexander became the full WBO WW champ this year with a dominant impressive performance & 11th round KO of Sebastian Formella.

For his 1st defense, it was old rival Danny Garcia.

At the time Garcia was the WBA champ & retained the title with a 13th round low blow DQ - a fight Devon was dominating: 438 (39%) to 203 (19%) in PL. On the cards DA also was ahead: 114-113, 115-112 & 116-111.

The rematch went the distance & even though Devon appeared to have the better of it: 288 (26%) to 199 (16%), Garcia wins again with a SD: 144-143 twice & 140-145.

Garcia's now 10-0 @ 147 & Devon's 15-3.

Hot shot newcomer, Mark Heffron (another Jackyle creation) won the crown in Paris over Hassan N'Dam (by Ice Tea) via a 15 UD.

Mark dropped the champ twice during the fight which provided the only real drama & won on the cards: 144-139 & 143-140 twice.

Mark also held the edge in PL: 329 (28%) to 300 (24%).

Hassan's 1st loss at 168 & is now 4-1 all by decision & 2 of those were SD's.

Former WBC WW champ, Errol Spence, (lost title due to a cut) came to Canada to make his 1st defense of his IBF belt vs. Mikael Zewski.

Either Errol was rusty or MZ's better than many thought because it was a tough fight!

No KD's but Errol pulled out a 15MD, 145-141, 144-142 & 143-143.

PL won by Spence: 342 (29%) to 186 (17%).

Spence is now 15-1-1 with 12 KO's & MZ's 3-1 (2 KO's) - MZ will probably move back up to 154 now.
