We are coming to the home stretch of the season, only 10 games or so are remaining. The American League is still up for grabs at the Highlanders fall out of first place and the Naps
reclaim the lead. The National League is on the verge of a clinch by the Cincinnati Reds. If the Reds do clinch, it will be their first appearance in post season since 1884 and have not
won the World Series since 1879

Cleveland looked as if they would fall south of the border, then went and won 7 in a row. Over in the National League, the Brooklyn Dodgers surprised everyone and are leading. .

June 1st 1911 Update
The Chicago White Sox have started to break away from the rest of the teams. Sox go 18-9 during the month that included a sweep of Washington. The Pirates are holding on to
a three game lead over St Louis. Cardinals come storming from near the bottom with a 16-12 record. But the Pittsburgh was a better team at 19-10.

July 1st 1911 Update
The American League got a whole lot of drama. Three different lead changes happened during the month. To start the month of June off, the Chicago White Sox enjoyed a 3.5 game
lead. Then the Athletics climbed to the top as the reign of Chicago ended it's three week run. Philadelphia did not hold on very long as both teams slid off as the Boston Red Sox
climbed to the top. Now the top spot is a narrow one as the next 6 six teams are 2.5 games out. Over in the National League, the Pirates are holding off a surging Cincinnati team.

We are in the tail end of the season with around 20 games to go. Five teams have a shot. In the American League, St Louis, Washington and New York are neck and neck.
Not so in the National League as the Pirates hold a decent lead. It is still too close to call.
