I'll consider it once I slow down my updates (I probably won't keep up this pace), as I'll have to modify some posts which will be a bit of work so everyone here has proper context/cut out my pre-start babble.

Looks like Silver Shroud are out as predicted, but hopefully that banner boost doesn't carry over to the regular season

They're not out yet.

As far as eight of the teams, though, they get a little break from baseball to practice and try to get better.

The Slog and Warwick to already be out are a big surprise.

Ah yes, I mispoke slightly about the situation, what with the double elimination format.

That said, I don't think it's that surprising for The Slog to go out. Starlight and Vault 81 are both good teams too, and while The Slog were last season's champions, that doesn't mean they win every game. Both Starlight or Vault 81 had fair shots, and would have been teams I'd at least would have said could have made a go at them.

Also, back a few posts to the plot line regarding Nuka Cola and Vim! ... as soon as I got past the memory quest I headed to the Vim! factory, as it was nearby and on a quest... I was a bit apprehensive at first with the secretiveness around the secret ingredient, but once I found out it wasn't cannibalism (this is Fallout, after all), I must say, I'm all aboard the Vim! train. What a unique flavor, sign me up!

Small Bertha was my favorite character in Far Harbor. She has to play a role in this dynasty In my mind, her look in the game is still what she looks like in 2297.

Yes, and their bullpen struck again. It is atrocious. I still do not understand why the AI decided to trade away Ray Human. He was the one person who looked like he could stabilize the closer position. Sia Abber most certainly does not appear to be the answer.

Maybe GM Brendan Kneecapped and scout Corban Lumpkin can wheel and deal their way to respectability. Then again, it does not look like 2297 is going to be the year. Anyway, this was just a two-game stretch. Let's see how they do in 60.

22 March 2297 - Fans Demand More Preseason Baseball

In another week, teams will play a week's worth of warmup games, which Nate Howard refers to as Spring Training. In the meantime, fans loved the preseason tournaments and want more baseball. Therefore, Nate Howard announced that he is scheduling interleague matchups for where teams finished in a Battle for the North vs Battle for the South short series.

Schedules are still being worked on, as well as where teams will play. We do know that the Battle for the North Tournament champions, the Starlight Lady Killers, will take on the Battle for the South Tournament champions, the Goodneighbor Hancocks.

Howard said that he will guarantee no teams from the same league play each other, so he may have to shuffle finishing points. Teams will be informed later today whom their opponents are and where they need to travel if at all. Howard stated also that Diamond City and The Slog would have to travel. Every other team's playing location is probably up to a coin toss unless something prevents them from traveling or hosting.

One of the great accomplishments in Howard's eyes about the tournaments is that the league had its longest lull in unfortunate events. Shaw's catcher Dirt Potter, whose spine was crushed in a collapsed construction accident, was the last incident. That happened two days before the tournaments, March 11.

27 March 2296 - Jamaica Plain-Warwick Trade: Okoro for Grille

The Baseball News Network, a division of the BosCom News Network, is reporting that the Red Rockets and Mirelurks have consummated a trade. Warwick will receive 18-year-old minor league LF Mut Okoro in a swap for 25-year-old LHP Mike Grille. A league analyst called the trade a "fairly even transaction."

Okoro, a 17th-round pick in the Inaugural Draft, played in just seven games in 2296. In eight at bats, he was 5 for 8 with a double, a run, and two RBI.

Grille was Warwick's 19th-round pick in the 2296 Inaugural Draft. In four relief appearances, he compiled a 1-0 record with a 7.50 ERA. He pitched 6.0 innings, allowing five earned runs on six hits with four walks and five strikeouts.

Each player is expected to have a shot to make the CBO roster in 2297 for his new team.

29 March 2297 - Ronnie Shaw Hanging It Up?

University Point Deathclaws owner Ronnie Shaw hinted that she may soon be done with ownership.

"It's work," she said. "I retired from the Minutemen with plans to take things easy for once in my life. We have that option these days."

Shaw said that her personality clashes with what she thinks the team needs. She describes herself as hands-off but controlling at the same time.

"I hired people to do their jobs. I'm going to let them do it. But they have to do it right. That's what I'm checking for."

GM Nate Fumble said that he loves Shaw's enthusiasm and thinks see is a valuable part of the Deathclaws. "For my first job in the CBO, this has been much different than what I expected. Yes, Shaw gets the final word on our decisions, but she has respected my opinion, [scout] Earl [Bennett]'s, [manager] Woody [Lumpkin]'s, and the other coaches.

"She's still learning the game, but she does it like someone who always want to be 100% sure about her decisions. I love that about her."

Still, Shaw is trying to be less involved in the team. She has mentioned that age is starting to catch up with her. "I'm 63 years old. I'm probably halfway through my life, but I feel 100. It may be time to let someone else deal with the team, the caps, the hirings. I don't know how much longer I can do it."

There are no talks currently of anyone taking over the team. University Point mayor Heather Casden is assumed to be wealthy enough to afford the team, but she has not made any indications of being interested in purchasing the Deathclaws or any other team.
