Another series where the favorite got out to a great lead, 3-1, and then allowed the opponent back into the series. The big difference in this series, is that the home team dropped the final 2 games at home to lose the series.

PCA started off 0-9, and then just went off, taking over the series.

It looked like StL was making a comeback in game 7, and then the bullpen picked the worst possible time to implode.

Increasing stolen bases can be easy, especially in this league (NABO48) that uses 80s league totals and modifiers.

No way am I resigning Scherzer at 43.5yo. He had a great season and getting him and SS Ortiz from NY for Mookie Betts is one of my best moves. I'm going to be humble, and just settle for the 2 great seasons Mad Max gave us in StL. Thought about giving him a QO since he was asking for 25/4 to start. If he did take the QO that might ruin other offseason plans.

I ended up not giving him the QO, but I did put it on SP Aaron Nola.

I declined to owner goal to resign Scherzer and accepted the goal of acquiring a gold glove player.

So, Witt Jr is a free agent. Along with Othani and Lopez.

I made an opening offer that I thought was fair ... and he liked it.

Next communication is that our offer is the best one so far.

New York comes in with a better offer.

So, I counter to what had to be better than NY, and Witt's happy.
