Cary Continues to Fly High Over OL ST102

Baltimore finally debuted and won their only game to take a perch atop the standings. The Barons will begin in earnest with 18 games in the upcoming month.

Meanwhile, the Southpaws continued their dominance, leaving the rest of the bewildered OL squads scrambling to figure out how to slow down the runaway train that Cary has become. There were rumors about suggesting that Jobu might be pulled from pack pull Juju duty, to try and throw some shade on Cary. It seems unlikely, however, as the baseball deity has never been asked guide negative forces, and he would no doubt be unwilling to make such an uncharacteristic change in his focus.

By the way, relegation standings were again skipped since no OL team currently resides therein.

A theme has arisen!

As far as I know there are six former Wheeling Stogies in the current released cards. Greasy Neale and Bunk Congalton are currently starters in the Mad Brewer's outfield. Today we would like welcome the new staff ace Roaring Bill Kennedy. Fan comments about his status as one of the worst perfect cards and not worth the money were met with manager Madmarcus's comment that "We have to please the fans! And if we ever do end up with five pitchers better then him I'll be happy to put him in the bullpen."

It is assumed that scouts have been sent out to contact Buddy Rosar and Pete Fox and see if they are available as free agents (not currently is the answer).

Seeing these posts with everyones pulls had me considering opening packs before Saturday morning but I am going to continue to show restraint.

In a reoccurring theme from previous versions my teams are below .500 vs. OL competition and over .500 vs the rest. Either way I am going to sit on points until I feel I can use them strategically. I do poke around the auction house a bit for Sugar Hill since I am limiting the roster based on a theme but no contracts have been offered.

I'd noted the Wheeling Stogies connections when I pulled Bunk Congalton. A random look at the AH tonight and the idea of actually going for the theme come to me. Easy come, easy go with the PPs I guess.

The Reds pulled the 100 Acuna live card, and sold that for 29k so that helped them along on missions as well. Happy to go through the logs in google hangout or something if anyone has worries.

No need for such technicalities, we run on the honor system. There are no severe recriminations if you slip up and use an incorrect player. The few times it has happened, it was almost always self reported and the offending games were removed from the OL ledger. Just keep those pesky lives and future legends out of the active roster and you'll be fine. If you mess up just post it in the thread and figure out which games the ineligible player was in.

I would ask that you post your teams' logos so I'll have someplace to put your crowns when you win them. Welcome aboard.

I was just doing it because I had picked up 15 to open Monday and 16 to open Tuesday, and was hoping for some miracle pulls in what it seems will be a vain attempt to wrest an OL crown from the runaway Southpaws. I think I'm gonna stop and go back to Saturday mornings again. I believe I have pissed off Jobu by making him work more than one day a week and he's taking it out by abandoning my tourney teams. I have not won a thing in tourneys since they upped the payouts. Ah well.

Nice. Looks like he has a wicked curveball.

I'm saving my packs until at least after Thursday's stream. It's Jackie Robinson day so there is plenty o' speculation that OOTP will announce Negro League cards.

It's a terrible thing to be looking at packs sitting there unopened... requires tremendous willpower to not open them... but it's only 2 and a half more days... I can do it... I can do it....

Any chance that someone could do a quick breakdown of how they produce the OL tables?

R78 Turns Patriotic

New York surged to the top of the OL R78 standings, with a stellar month of play. Despite a roster that lacks any diamond/perfect valued players, the Patriots are making the Black Hole a treacherous trip for visiting teams.

There is a mad scramble for promotion spots, with five OL teams just outside the door.

Found a nicely done colorized picture of Kennedy.

League->Reports & Logs->Select League Report->Team vs. Team

Manually add them up and put them in a spreadsheet. Screenshot the spreadsheet, and there you go.

I use Google sheets, the free spreadsheet. I'm guessing there are other free options out there.

Thanks guys, I wanna help out any time it may be needed. I actually haven't produced a spreadsheet for decades!

Paxville have had a pretty terrible couple of weeks with packs, with no historical above gold from about 700 packs! They've even pulled more gold future legends than historical golds in the last week...

The point of my packs team is to avoid as much of the meta stuff as I can. But things are pointing a bit too much towards a team of live rewards atm .

Anyway, despite that and starting the season 0-8 (!!!), it's great to have some OL company at last.

If you have google, e-mail me at kidheckett@gmail.com and give me an address and I'll write back with a little tutorial, if that's what you're looking for. By the way, for others that is the e-mail I use for OL contact if you need it.

thinking of swapping the names of my two teams today if that doesn't cause too much trouble. if it does, I won't.

only thing changing is the name. Paper St > Nowhere Men.

I don't believe there's anything to prevent it. By the way, I was able to clip your Paper St. logo and sharpen it to a usable degree. The Nowhere Men logo was easy enough to find. I've attached both. So, if they're acceptable to you, your work is done. I didn't bother with the white background for the spade because it won't show up on the forum anyway.
