Updated to Jersey Creater 1.2.8
Now whenever I try to change text1 from curved to straight or angled, I get an "unhandled exception" and I have to quit. It doe NOT happen if I do the same to text2.
Is this related to the windows updates talked about above?
I haven't used jersey creator in awhile, so perhaps it would have happened even without the update 1.2.8.
I am running win7 64-bit.
Got any ideas what the problem might be?

PS: It appears to run OK on my win8.1 surface pro, but that's not my primary machine

I followed zappa1's advice - once it's updated again find it, right click it and "hide" it

Question:

What am I doing incorrectly that cause my font to cut off on the out edge of the first letter? Once it starts (only in straight or angled) I have to shut down and restart the whole application.

Any help appreciated...

It was a security update for Vista X64-based systems. It's (KB 3045171)
When I install this update, I get the crash. I uninstalled this update and the jersey creator program is fine.

I was at it early this morning and one by one eliminated each update until I found the one that caused it. I have installed all the other updates except the one problem update and everything is fine. This problem (KB 3045171) also caused my golf game to crash. Now, that game is also fine. I don't know how this pretains to everybodys systems, but, I am running Vista 64 bit. Good luck everyone.

All of the .NET framework updates were fine. No problems there.
I've searched through my installed updates for this file and it's not there. I'm still having the error message when I attempt to use fonts in Jersey Creator. Can anyone offer some additional support?

I hope you uninstalled it and not just delete it. If you did delete it, it would still be installed and that might be why you can't find it in the list. Check again. I don't think the list is in numerical order. Otherwise, I don't know how to uninstall an update that's not listed. Maybe run "check for updates" and see if it gives it to you. Hope you get it working. Good luck.

Here is something I found that might help you find the update better. It's a quick and easy way to list all of the Windows updates installed on your system. Makes it easier to see your updates. Everyone could use this.

Some programs, such as Belarc Advisor, will include a list of updates in an overall analysis of what is on your computer. This type of comprehensive survey of your computer’s contents is worthwhile but there is also an easier way to get a list of Windows updates. This method takes advantage of the command line and requires no installation of additional software. Open the command prompt and enter this command:

wmic qfe list brief /format:htable > "%USERPROFILE%\hotfix.html"

This produces a nicely formatted list in an HTML file named hotfix.html that gets placed in the User folder. You can, of course, change the destination to some other convenient location. If there are any spaces in the name of a folder that you choose, don’t forget to wrap the destination name in quotes, as is done in the commands given in this tip.

If you would rather have a text file, the command would be:

wmic qfe list brief /format:texttablewsys > "%USERPROFILE%\hotfix.txt"

I'm sorry if this has been covered already but is there a fix for the image not being the correct size? Its not a huge deal as I just have to crop after creation but it would be nice to save a step if possible.

It is getting very hard to get the wonderful modders to create logos, jerseys and caps now... they should be burned out by now and I understand that... I have imposed on them for 12 years now.

It is time for me to create my own logos, jerseys and caps and stop imposing on all of you talented and generous Modders.

I am not very computer and graphics literate... don't have Photoshop or Gimp... but do have Paint, but have a LOT OF TROUBLE trying to figure it out... are they necessary to create caps and jerseys?

I can make a simple logo using justafan's great logo creator, but do have problems with it caused probably by my ignorance... can't change colors... have to use same colors that are used on cephasjames great image collections... sometimes the lettering is not evenly distributed... there are gaps between individual letters.

Do you think I can do basic caps and basic jerseys using justafan's other software?

Would it be helpful to read all of the posts on each of the threads for caps and jerseys?.. or should I just jump in a try to learn them?

Would appreciate your advice.

EC, I suggest you just download justafan's cap and jersey creators and jump in. You've already done that with his logo creator.

EC,

Here is a website that I use for some different colors for caps, jerseys and logos. I too use Justafan's awesome software programs. In order to change a color you can either click and drag the little tool next that looks like a medicine dropper to the color you want or click on the color box and it will bring up a color dialogue box to choose a color.

Here is that Color Table site I use: HTML Color Table

As always, if ya need more help, just holler.

Jump in, Eugene. Guaranteed you won't look back. Also, you can always come to the board with your questions or to read the posts. But, the best way is to just tinker and play around with the programs.

I apologize for my ignorance with such simple matters... sorry computers are not intuitive to me... I'm a dunce when it comes to them.

If these questions below are covered in this thread, I will read it all before asking questions.

Would someone clue me in on what each part of the cap diagram is for.

Start at the top left... what is the black cap?

Right below the black cap is the part of the cap where the team letters or image go... I can see that.

The red square is the cap's bill, I suppose.

What are the two blue cap outlines on the bottom for?

On the far right bottom is the color of the cap button.

Before you save the cap, Is there anyway to preview the finished cap while you are still in the cap creator?

When you click on MAIN, a new window pops up:

What is "BILL UNDER"?

Why are some circles grayed out?

Start at the top left... what is the black cap? Bottom of the Bill

Right below the black cap is the part of the cap where the team letters or image go... I can see that. Front Panel

The red square is the cap's bill, I suppose. Correct

What are the two blue cap outlines on the bottom for? Sides and rear of the cap

On the far right bottom is the color of the cap button. Correct

Is there anyway to preview the finished cap while you are still in the cap creator? Not that I am aware of.
