Love em! how would I go about using one? I've never really cared for either of the stock logos I'm using.

All you need to do is right click on the logo in the forum and "copy image" to your desktop or wherever you like. I'd give the file a name. Then go to PT and use the customize team tab, then advanced settings to load the logo onto your team. Hit submit and you're good to go. Nobody like the Fab Four (and the Four Tops). |

R78 Midday Update
This is as of the noon games today...then the forum was being wonky and I couldn't post, so now, back at the computer...
New York still holds the lead, with Boston hot on their heels. Keystone Kops being like...well, Keystone Cops at the other end of the standings. A very close group trying to get into promotion. |

Not that we are talking a jackpot of points but Akinori Otsuka comes into a game in the bottom of the 8th, bases loaded two outs and retires the first batter he faces and picks up 30 points for leaving them loaded. Dock Ellis pitches 29 scoreless and gets 20 points.
To add insult to injury, Otsuka got nobody in the 9th, blew the save and the game. The 30 pts should have went back to the house. I never really pay attention to bronze achievements but this jumped out at me. |

An interesting stat
It's not something I usually check, but the Mundys home/road record caught my eye a little while ago and seemed appropriate, in an odd literary sense.
I don't expect anybody knows this, but the Port Ruppert Mundys name, as well as the team personnel, come from "The Great American Novel" by Phillip Roth. I read it many years ago and have re-read many time since. It's a raucous, raunchy, riotous, and oddly reverential baseball book that weaves baseball lore and love for the game into the story of the Patriot League team from Port Ruppert, New Jersey, whose owners rented their stadium to the Army for troop training during World War II, forcing the team to play all it's games on the road. That's why they wear the road grey for all their games. The book defies a short description and is an hilarious read, if kind of R rated and irreverent. What brought this to my mind was the home/road record attached. It seems appropriate and poetic (at least a little) to me. The book might be hard to find, but worth the effort. The forum is acting up and won't let me load an attachment. The records are: Home: 25-22, .531 Road: 37-10, .787 |

Mixed feelings on my report for mid-week #3
CLEVELAND GRAYS, 45-50, 5th place Best team is the Cleveland Grays, Although struggling to post a .500 season in Iron.198, they are holding a 10-3 record in the OL-Iron league. With only 3 OL games left in schedule, if they can win 2 of 3 in that series they have a shot at the OL crown. GETTYSBURG BULLETS, 34-62, 5th place The Bullets are shooting blanks. Current pace will relegate them back to Rookie on Sunday. Bad luck and a couple dumb mistakes and I pretty much deserve whatever happens this week. BALTIMORE BARONS, 41-55, 4th place The Barons are also struggling to reach .500. This has been a stretch of bad luck with little to no achievements. At least at their current pace, they can remain in Stone next week. I've been playing Perfect Drafts almost back to back for these teams but haven't been able to land anything this week. Filling in with Twitch packs, but no rainbows there either. Hoping things get better, HRB

Not sure who was lucky enough to catch the release of the Negro League card set which has 75 cards. It is sure a game-changer card set.
Also Historical packs are being offered at 10,000PP per pack until Monday. Since I have not bought anything since I started the game, I used my hard earned PP to buy two Historical Packs (a little short of getting 3!). Before opening the Historical Packs, I opened a few Standard Packs to see how the cards were coming, and they were lousy for us OL guys as I only got 3 OL low rated players out of 3 packs and they were rated 64, 61, & 56. So I have decided to sit on my 50+ packs (including one Gold and 2 Historical) until I find a different time that the OL pack luck is looking better for me. I learned a long time ago not to get caught up in all of the excitement and hipe. If the pack luck isn't looking good in the beginning, I shut it down and save them for a different day.

I pulled a perfect from my packs, but it is live Mike Trout so on the AH he goes.
A couple NL cards (1 silver, 1 gold), the Pete Rose build-a-legend, and some others. A press releases are forthcoming from Texarkana, Cedar Rapids, and Chandler.

I would put him up at a ridiculous price (with a buy now), say 500K to 1,000,000 for a short time, like 6 hours or less and troll for a whale. There are people with cash invested in the game that are very acquisitive when new cards are released. If no nibbles you can come down slowly. If you want to let people bid him up, start at least 200K, with a high buy out. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 04-16-2021 at 07:03 AM. |

Cary Cruising Along in OL ST102
The Southpaws kept up their blistering pace it what it appears is a stroll to an easy stone crown. Their sparkling run is over-shadowing the brilliant campaign of the Waffletown Syrups, as well as solid runs by the Nowhere Men and Port Ruppert Mundys. While there are plenty of games left for the top four, the Cary squad does not seem built for anything beyond the mildest of slumps.
Of the remaining three, the Nowhere bunch seems best situated for success, if they can close out the season with a miraculous run. The Syrups and Mundys, thanks to the wretched and unrealistic schedule routine that OOTP employs, will play each other 13 times over the last two month, including nine games in September. I've whined about it before, but I guess it is a feature that bothers only me. I just think that it would be easy to fix, and seems an odd quirk to be part of a game that claims to pride itself on realism. Ah, well. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 04-16-2021 at 07:17 AM. |

Coney Island crept its way into the wild card race but the Warriors first 13 games today are against division leaders and are 3-13 vs these teams so far.
Sugar Hill is doing better than I expected given I am working on a theme. Both teams are currently sitting in the promotion zone. I wouldn't mind another week in stone to be honest. Coffee and packs was somewhat of a bust last Saturday so I continue to just hoard whatever points I can get my hands on and wait it out. Hoping for better results tomorrow morning. |

Waffletown's pack bonanza (26 of them) last night didn't return much in the way of OL useable cards to break the 26 man roster.... it did provide 2 Live Diamond cards (so an $8Kish return) and 2 Gold future legend cards (now have 3 of those).... considered selling them, but I think I'm going to hang onto them for now; as I might be able to play with a Gold tourney lineup and use them there; and figure I might as well wait for the 'future legend' mission to show up, where their value will skyrocket
down to 2 teams and 9 cards remaining to clear the Live missions |

yeah, got a feeling the Syrups and Mundys are going to beat each other up down the stretch; so even if the Southpaws stumble enough to allow someone to catch up, it probably won't matter for either of our clubs... |

Yeah, nice pack luck for me. In the last few days I got 2x Bichette, 3x Nelson Cruz and 2x Devers. Good.

Thought you guys might find my pack opening extravaganza interesting in terms of the data (not in terms of amazing drops!)
I had an amazing 205 packs between my 2 teams. Annandale opened 90 packs last night and 5 more this morning when I woke up (including 5 gold packs from collections that I had saved) and got…
If you consider the Live Diamonds worth 4k each and the live Golds as 1k, that’s 54k out of 90 packs… throw in 7K for both FLs, 12k for the all the BALs, 8k for each HD, 1.5k for each HG… total is 101k PP for 95 packs that to purchase would have been 90k + 15k for the golds… 105k. So I would have broken even if I’d purchased the packs (and I would have purchased 15 regular packs instead of 5 gold packs, but we will call that a wash). Washington, my BFF team, opened 105 packs last night and 15 more this morning for…
Cashing that in… 22k for Betts + 12k Diamonds + 5k Golds, 5k FL, 8k for the BALs, 20k for Jelly, 45k for Cruz, 3.5k for the HGs, 1k for the Silvers… total is 121k for 120 packs. So again, it’s a break even proposition. To be sure, most of the return is from 3 cards so if I hadn’t gotten those it would have been a terrible haul. I actually had a few more packs than listed because I completed some collections from the initial opening, plus I locked all the BALs and got the Silver versions. So maybe 5 more packs for each team. And this morning I bought the Pete Rose BAL for Annandale - I'm sure I paid more than he'll go for in a week or so but I really wanted him for my tournament teams, so I decided to go for it. |

I am having some issues deciding if I want to build Pete or not. Was a big fan of him as a kid, but his last few years as a player/manager and everything since has left a bad taste in my mouth. I am trying to decide if I want to go with a Reds theme team for the Labrats, and will want to go for the team legends if I do, but if I do the Rose BAL, it will be with bit of diffidence.
