Alma 'Ziggy' Ziegler (1943)
Could probably use a touch-up, I used HotPot for this one.

Howard Fitzgerald 1922
I believe replacement of attempt with the alternative adjective masterpiece would be more appropriate with regards to the Troy team photo.
Similarly, thank you for the phenomenal Sheehan colorization, also for pinpointing that I mistakenly attached a 1925 image instead of the 1924 image I intended. A 1924 image of Howard Fitzgerald with the Cubs is attached. Last edited by UKBaseballfan; 01-31-2025 at 04:31 AM. |

I'm posting this here since there were earlier photo id questions.
This is purported to the the New York NL 1884 team. Any idea who some of these might be? In particular Ed Begley, |

The colorization looks nice but the face looks broken on the side

Leona Kearns (1926)
Probably not historically accurate colors but I thought it turned out cool anyway

Thanks for the ids. I had visited the Threads site many times for the player uniform drawings. I never knew there was player photo id info there.

For what it's worth, the Topaz Apps I tried didn't do any better. The left side is pretty much solid black so there really is very little for the AI to work with. |

Herb Pennock 1912
Thank you for what appears to be a perfect colorization of the Bert Cole image.
Attached is a 1924 image of Hall of Fame pitcher Herb Pennock with the New York Yankees. Twelve years after making his Major League debut, 1924 marked Pennock's first 20 game winning season, posting a 21-9 record. He finished 4th in MVP standings in 1924. Pennock commenced his 22 year career with the Philadelphia Athletics, then pitched for the Red Sox from mid season 1915 before joining the Yankees prior to the 1923 season. He stayed with the Yankees before finishing his career back with the Red Sox in 1934 his final season. Left handed pitcher Pennock amassed 241 wins over his career. He was a switch hitter with a career batting average of .191 |
