Fred Johnston 1924
Wilfred Ivy Johnston. I had colorized this image of Johnston from his days with the University of North Carolina football team. The original image was shared by tnfoto. Infield Fly's version of that Target baseball card really turned out well. I am replacing the image I use in-game with it. I had experimented with it as well, with much less of a result. I used Pica.ai to upgrade the football image.

Butch Henline 1921
Absolutely amazing enhancement, thank you.
Attached is a 1924 image of Butch Henline with the Philadelphia Phillies. Henline made his debut in 1921 playing in 34 games, one with the Giants the remainder with the Phillies. From 1922 through 1926 he was the Phillies starting catcher with the exception of 1925 when Jimmie Wilson undertook that role. In 1927 he spent the first of 3 seasons with Brooklyn and then 2 with the White Sox all in a back-up role. Usually was eighth in the batting order but hit over .300 in 1922,1923 & 1925. His best year was maybe 1923 when he batted .324 with an on-base percentage of over .400. From a power perspective possibly 1922 was his best year reaching double figures in home runs and slugging .479, a slugging percentage he also reached in 1925. Butch Rementer 1904
Willis John "Butch" Rementer colorized from an image I found in the Cinemaodyssey facepack. Thanks to DeepNostalgia.ai for an image upscale.

I posted this on the other thread recenty. Any idea of the colorization of the
pitching bruin on the logo? I can't find any other pic of a player with that logo. The Dressed to the Nines data base is no help either. |

But....I found this on a search. I briefly viewed the Chicago Tribune website and found a listing for 1934 which seems to confirm the pitching bear is red. Another reference here. One more. Last edited by krantzbucks; 02-07-2025 at 10:37 PM. Reason: added research links |

Much thanks for the research. It seems red is the most likely. I’ll go with that.

Emil Frisk 1899
John Emil Frisk colorized with the St Louis Browns. Original image can be found here. Image was upscaled using Deepnostalgia.ai and then colorized using kolorize.cc
***EDIT**** I was sent a supplemental image of Frisk with Detroit. I upscaled the image with Deep Nostalgia, used kolorize.cc to colorize, and tweaked the image using GIMP. Last edited by krantzbucks; 02-10-2025 at 03:03 PM. Reason: added 3 photos |

Kolorize doesn't replace the colors at all when I highlight a section i want changed and enter the new color name in, is there a way to fix this or am I doing something wrong?

I’ve only used that function
a few times. The only time it didn’t do anything was when I selected a narrow pin stripe |

I've never found an online editor that works well for selective colorization. They give nice results on backgrounds and faces but I always have to revert to Elements (or similar with layers and more precise selection tools) to get the uniform colors decent. |

I found a great one in December where I changed Leona Kearns' uniform to be black to send to some emo girl I know who resembles her and I was able to select the areas with no issue but now I can't find it at all! It's driving me crazy because I remember it so well and it wasn't even that long ago

Emmet McCann 1920
Very strange why it wasn't working but now it suddenly decided it wanted to and as a result I was able to do this one of Emmet McCann. I am still looking for the one I used to do the Kearns pic tho since it was just click and recolor as opposed to needing to shade entire areas with the mouse but I'm still quite happy with how this one turned out.
