Someone rewrote baseball history in my current game and to celebrate his exploit I have decided to revisit his FG (the new one is at the end of his game banner)... BTW he ended the 1930 season with 73 homeruns!!!! See what I meant by rewriting history (no Maris / Mantle battle for the record in 1961 and maybe no one will ever break it).
Edit: if you are curious about how I play my game... I use real lineup, real transaction, recal one year (current season), rookie are added to the team rooster the day they started their career in real life and I don't touch the league total and modifiers... usually the results are on par with what happened in real life and a performance like this is unusual (so much that it's the first time since I play that no battle for the record will happen in 1961)

Perhaps another case of a name being too common, I cannot find a facegen in any of the packs for the Luis Matos who played for the Orioles in the early oughts (matos-002lui / matoslu01). I see one for the current Luis Matos, along with one that from its ID (matos-005lui) appears to be for a Luis Matos who played rookie ball from 2017-19.

Yeah the soul patch looked like it was a bit later in his career so I wanted more generic. But if you want the soul patch version I can do that one too. Let me know. |

Hey Lans, mind if I throw in another request for some minor league guys on the come up? No rush at all, looking forward to seeing your end of the season update with the pack.

Roman Anthony
Roman Anthony now sits at the No. 1 position in Baseball America’s annual Top 100 Prospects ranking after the Rays’ Junior Caminero — the original No. 1 — graduated from prospect status.
The 20-year-old Red Sox outfielder moved into the list’s top spot after Caminero reached 130 at-bats on Tuesday night. “I couldn’t be more high on that guy,” said shortstop Trevor Story, who played four games on a rehab assignment with Anthony at Triple-A Worcester. “He controls the zone, has really good at-bats. Hits the ball hard.” Baseball America wrote, “[Anthony’s] poised to reach the majors before his 21st birthday, and he has a combination of power and plate discipline that should serve him well for years to come.” - boston.com Funny you ask, I did Roman three days ago. I was going to wait for a Spring Training photo as I imagine he'll get one come March but he's too good not to have something in the pack.

Looks great! He's been incredible down in the minors this year, and I didn't realize he's still just 20 as well! Think he'll make the opening day roster?

Brock Wilkin
Brock Wilkin
Scouting grades: Hit: 45 | Power: 60 | Run: 30 | Arm: 65 | Field: 45 | Overall: 50 A Cape Cod League MVP in 2021, Wilken set multiple home run records at Wake Forest and finished as both the Demon Deacons’ and ACC’s all-time leader with 71 long balls over his three years on campus. Thirty-one of those came in his junior campaign, placing him second in Division I. That helped push him into the first round to the Brewers with the 18th overall pick and he signed for $3.15 million. Wilken reached Double-A Biloxi in his first taste of the pros and finished with a .285/.414/.473 line with five homers over 47 games across three levels. The right-handed slugger relies on the strength in his upper half to generate bat speed and loft that helps him send balls over fences in bunches. He can look almost hunched over the plate before ripping at the ball with a slight step as a lower load. Wilken’s swing decisions improved over his time at Wake, and while he’ll take his walks, the early strikeout concerns that emerged in college could return against more advanced pro arms, as they did in his small Double-A sample. Standing 6-foot-4, Wilken clocks in as a well-below-average runner. He can move around capably at the hot corner and has more than enough arm for the position, but his defense doesn’t figure to add much value to his overall profile. Given his size and speed, he might have to move across the diamond to first, where his power would still more than fit the bill. - mlbpipeline.com On Roman, I'm looking forward to him and the next wave of prospects. Had my fill of one-year rentals. I think he'd have to be raking to make the OD roster. But we'll see him before the AS break ![]()

Cole Young
Cole Young
Scouting grades: Hit: 60 | Power: 45 | Run: 55 | Arm: 55 | Field: 50 | Overall: 55 After taking college pitchers in the first round three years in a row from 2018 to 2020, the Mariners turned their attention to high school hitters for the next three Drafts, starting with Harry Ford in 2021 and most recently, Colt Emerson in 2023. Sandwiched between those two prep standouts was Young, taken No. 21 overall in 2022 from the Pittsburgh area. In his year-plus in pro ball, Young hasn’t looked like a raw high schooler from a cold-weather region, using his advanced feel for hitting to perform well across two levels of A ball in his first full season of pro ball. Young has shown an exciting ability to hit the ball hard to all fields from the left side of the plate. He has impressive contact skills, striking out in less than 15 percent of his plate appearances in 2023 while drawing nearly as many walks. He’s added a good amount of strength since being drafted and is approaching average power as he’s learned to turn on pitches, with confidence that some of the 34 doubles he hit in 2023 will reach the seats in the future. A smart and aggressive above-average runner, Young has enough range and arm to play shortstop for a long time. He’s seen some time on the right side of second to provide some positional versatility, something that could come in handy since his advanced bat looks like it could get him to Seattle sooner rather than later. - mlbpipeline.com I closed his mouth before making the facegen. Put him on the actual Mariners though and he'll smile...

Lans I reached 1941 in my simulation and I have another player I was unable to do when I did the FGs for that season previously... Buster Bray of the Boston Braves, I can't find a pictures in which he face the camera but I know that you can do miracle with those pictures usually... thanks!
PS: if you find a workable picture and you are too busy just post the picture and I'll do the work...

I have a feeling that one could be really hard to do but this is another player with no FG and cinemaodyssey just post a picture of him in the photo thread... in my case there is zero chance I can do something with him but that could be a good and fun challenge for you Lans.
