Former Shire player, Tirso Ornelas, lights up St Louis for 3 HR, prompting the owner to make some unflattering comments about GM in the media. Ornelas was traded to Oklahoma after the team signed Ohtani to DH and SP. When asked about the owner's comments, GM simply replied "No Comment."

After dropping the series to Motor City, StL heads to the Windy City to take on the 1st place Whitertails, 2 games ahead of StL innthe standings.

A disastrous series sweep in WC leaves the Shires 5 games out of 1st and the owner and GM going at each other. The two could be seen arguing in the executive box, resulting in some pushing and shoving until they were separated by others in the suite. The owner was heard yelling "Win the division or else!", expressing frustration with the team being manhandled by players the team has traded away (Ornelas in Oklahoma and Alvarez in Windy City), combined with the star StL players not performing up to expectations.

An anonymous source was reported to hearing the owner say "I'll make sure the only job his @$$ gets is in Nebraska", referring to NABO's smallest market and fewest franchise wins in Organization history.

St Louis ends the month of July with a crushing loss as Whitlock implodes in the 10th inning. The Shires end the month, 5 GB of Windy City.
