If the technical peoples are interested, since it seems that the problem is with the league and not the system and the crash happen everytime, I can send my .dat files to your ftp. Look like my league is a good one to find the problem (good news for you
, not so good for me )Just let me know if you are interested endgame post while I was writing. I'll try to send it to you with the name AESP_pres.zip Last edited by AESP_pres; 06-21-2008 at 11:47 PM. Reason: add the last line |

You have to find the reason for this, its really starting to tick me off.It just happened to me again in the 9th inning with 2 outs.I can't believe that after a month everyone is still mystified as to what is causing this.

You have to give them the time to find it, anything can be responsible for the crash. For the other game version that I own (2007) 3 patches was necessary to correct it. I'm not worried at all, the technical team will find the reason of this bug now that they have a league that always crash (mine). In the meantime just do like me and save everyday.

But, you're right. We need to figure out what is causing the bug to get into the league in the first place. |

CTD Error when pitcher is injured, see this thread
I had one today, and one thing I think may be the key....
Earlier in the game, I did a double swap with the 3B and pitcher, swapping their positions. If anyone has had this crash; it happens when you drag the new pitcher to the pitchers spot on the right, did you have a double swap earlier in the game????? Please answer if you know FOR SURE, as this could be the problem. I HOPE!!

Or from another angle to suppliment this with more info, does this ever occur in a league that is currently using the DH?

Sorry not in my case, the crash happen everytime a pitcher is injured (SP or RP). It has happen as soon as the end of the third inning, in fact it has happen many times after the third inning (maybe that could help the tester).
I think of starting a new league while the technical team try to resolve the bug, since in doesn't seem to happen with every one of them. Last edited by AESP_pres; 06-24-2008 at 12:19 AM. |

I have to ask, how are you getting the pitcher injured so often? You say it has happened many times. I have played many many games and the pitcher just being injured while pitching or batting just does not happen often.
How many games have you played the game out to generate those kind of numbers. What are your injury settings? I am just curious how you can get the injuries to happen, as I have made glass players and having a hard time just getting an injury. Quote:

I mean a double swap in prior innings in the game. When it happened to me, that was the situation. We need to find anything similar between us, as I am positive it is related to something that happened earlier, or a specific situation, it could be something as bizaare as only with 2 outs and runners on certain bases when it is the 2nd pitcher in the game, etc. We need to try to find something that has the same situation.

Those of you who've seen it happen in this version (aside from Comedian/Larry) are you seeing this in new leagues or imported leagues? Larry, I still have an old build on my laptop (though you probably have one lying around as well), I'll try to get around to messing with things to try to recreate the situation (or a similar one) you described.

Injury is set as average in the setup, nothing extreme or unusual here. |

OK, we have ruled it out being from being imported. There are indications that it is not because of a move earlier in the game, like a double swap, but my money is still on that.
Markus is on a well deserved vacation, but we will be on him when he gets back like a greedy agent on a hot rookie. See if you can notice something in your game that is consistent between the games that it happens in. It could be something really weird and I am sure that is what it is. Is it always a starting pitcher, is it always a RP or a Closer or is it always when the pitcher is on the home team, away team, or with runners on base, etc.

At the third inning I give all the control to the AI, no crash since I do this but no pitcher injury to check if it works. |
