I wonder if anyone's had a guy pitch a no-hitter and get a batting milestone in the same game. |

Just had a pitcher in my 1930 league pitch a 4 hit shutout and hit two HRs.
League leader in HRs has 3 at game 24 in the season. (3 guys are tied at 3). |

I just had O. Perez pitch a 10 inning CG shotout! Every damn pitch both offensively and defensively had me close to a heart attack! That was the best damn game EVER!

There was a player with a 37 game hitting streak in my league (in one season, not over two)
I personally had a player with a 36 game hitting streak, then this year, he had another one of 24. On the undefeated starts front, my same pitcher had one of 29 games over two years (and not this season). He didn't lose for almost a year. Believe it or not, that's not the league record. Someone else had one of 30 games over those same two years. Screwed my guy out of the Cy Young one of the two years ![]() At least it was realistic though, they voted the guy in on wins when my guy had him in every other category

I once had a guy pitch 20+ consecutive shutout innings. This is something that isn't tracked by the game though, annoyingly.

Scott van Houwilengen hit four homers in a single game in the World Championship for the Taipei Tigers.
They lost the game, 12-10

Walsh finished 31-2 with a 1.99 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 271.1 IP, 261 K, a 86.6 VORP, and his 5th Cy Young. The 86.6 VORP actually pales in comparison to the 101.1 he put up the year before when he went 25-4/1.74/1.01/276.1/235 ![]() In his last start, he allowed 6 ER in 4.2 IP....I yanked him so his ERA wouldn't go above 2. ![]() I'm scared now though, I had run some testing because I wanted to look at changing some modifiers.........and Walsh got a CEI this season I know that doesn't mean it's going to happen again when I play it out, but I don't know what I'd do.

I just played out a no-hitter. Even more important is that I am 1 game behind with 7 left to play. I clawed back from 3rd place and 12 games back.

My current solo league:
Had a pitcher, forgot who, pitched 11 1/3 innings of no-hit ball with one walk. In the 12th with one out, he allowed a single, RP came in and let the runner score. He lost 1-0. Ouch. I did not play this game. One I did play was interesting. I lost the game 2-1 in the last of the ninth when my pitcher balked with a runner on 3rd base. Ouch! The low scores are typical of this league, as it was started in 1968 and it is in 1974 now. I originally had a historical player inaug draft in 68, and built a staff of Gibson, Guidry, Cuellar and Palmer. (sweet). Reggie was my offense. I lost Reggie for the season during spring training and Gibson won 25 for me. Mayberry stepped for and took over the power hitting spot on the club. I ended up 3 games out of 1st. I then resigned and the next year, the AI lead my designed team to the WS and they won it all. I then simmed a couple more years and took over for an Expansion team. I ended up building a pretty decent team. The team did pretty decent, finishing in 3rd place. So, I resigned and the AI lead them to the playoffs, where they lost, the next year.

Had my second triple play ever yesterday and as before I was the victim
I lead off the inning with 2 straight singles and a walk to load the bases with nobody out for Monte Cross who singled home a run leaving the bases loaded for my pitcher Jack Coombs who grounded into the old U5-4 triple play.I can't be too upset though,Coombs went on to pitch a 2 hit shutout while striking out 9 in a 7-0 victory over the second place Browns. Here's the screenie

FROM MY HISTORICAL LEAGUE (at 1886):
Levi Meyerle had a 54 game streak playing for Boston in 1877. ![]() Al Spalding had a 62-8 record in 1875 while playing on the 71-8 Boston team that year. Ironically, the real Boston club started 26-0 and mine started 24-0 that year. This is without recalc or anything on. Spalding recently got his 500th win, he currently has 508 to lead all players. ![]() -Abner Powell threw a no-hitter on 1885 Opening Day.

It goes against the nature of the thread but the single most amazing acomplishment I have see is a player had 72 RBI in a single month.
That was back with OOTP 6.12 |

Sort of a personal funny moment for me. I had a starter K 8 of 9 opposing batters to start the game, then leave after 3 innings when he bruised his foot beating out an infield hit. Sigh.

My Athletics are going to the World Series! Following a season in which the A's played consistently well all season, they were rewarded with a trip to the Series to play the Pittsburgh Pirates who defeated the New York Giants in a one game playoff following a regular season in which they both ended up with identical 89-65 records.During the season the Athletics were led by Chief Bender who had one of the best seasons in the history of baseball winning the triple crown with a record of 31-5 and a 1.88 ERA and 202 K's.Along with bender, rookie infielder Eddie Collins won the batting title with a solid .329 batting average.

The Fury Of The Baseball Gods
After posting about my two star players on their way to the World Series, the baseball gods must have taken umbrige with my comments because in game one,Collins AND Bender were both injured and lost for one to two weeks, virtually eliminating them from the post season.Game one was promptly lost 7-3.

I just had a pitcher finish the season going 31-3 with a 1.29 era. My first 30 game winner. This is with cubbies rosters but 35 years in. The funny thing is this guy has an endurance of 24 out of 100. He played in 65 games and started 26 of them. Man I hate this endurance thing in the game with relievers.
