Though, I should add for your later post. Of course, it affected the outcome of his games. Most likely every decision he made during the game was due to getting the win that game. Which is of course the goal. But, what if you are getting blown out? One of those games where you close the door and try to make sure you dont kill your bullpen for next game or something?
Both good points. I still think the punishment is harsh, but maybe I'm the only one.

Maybe he wanted to make more money out of the book, so held back the major revelations till then.

This is the last I have to say on the issue because I think I'm the only one who thinks Rose's punishment was a bit harsh.

Not the only one, I've known a few others. Though the longer in time we move from Rose's career it does seem to be fewer people.

I understand the feelings about thinking Rose was punished too much. Though I dont think some (not necessarily you) of his supporters sometimes dont take into account the seriousness of the situation. I have to admit I remember when ROse's future was hanging in the balance. It really tore me up, because I had enjoyed watching Rose play as a kid (albeit his late career) when he was a Phillie. Given what happened just a few days later, I wonder if didnt tear up Giamatti too.
