It looks like Season Ticket Baseball is definitely over represented as the way that many of us were drawn into what would eventually become this long running franchise.
That speaks to something that's also a real perk about this series, IMO, and that is not only is it a damn fine game, but it also handles distribution better than many other text sims. Those old STB CD's in the heyday of the gaming store, and Steam today; Markus & Co. do a fantastic job of seeking out new audiences, and that's likely been just as crucial to the continuation and improvement of the game over the years. Thanks guys, for being outstanding businessmen and programmers! |

I would but I don't have a computer capable of installing/running it on. No old DOS machines kicking around my house

OOTP 2 was my first. The CD is still around somewhere.
OOTP 6/6.5 was my longest obsession. I skipped a few versions as I was happy with 6.5 and didn't trust my leagues to the rebuilt version of the game. Starting with OOTP 12, I have been buying every year though I almost skipped 16 as I didn't feel like it offered much for fictional players but the addition of playoff stat tracking made me make the purchase. |

I know for sure that I had 5, but I'm pretty sure I started with 4.

I'm still a little stunned that I didn't find this game until OOTP 15.
I remember the first week just being floored how in-depth everything was. Played a lot of Strat-o-Matic before OOTP so initially I was into the historical seasons, but then I made a fictional league and was hooked. I might need to get the "1" key replaced I've played so much the past 14 months lol... |

OOTP 9 for me......couldn't believe I'd found such a great game.I once downloaded OOTP 1 from an abandonware site , played a few seasons and always won the world series ...the AI wasn't that great back then.

I bought the first version. Shaun Sullivan was working on a version of a baseball game, and I was following it closely. I even had an early alpha version that you had to play in Microsoft's Internet Explorer. It was almost playable. Almost...Somehow I learned of a German who had a complete game, and I bought it. When the second version come out I bought that too.

It was 6 for me. I had heard that 6.5 would be released soon, was reading about it, and couldn't wait for the release date, so bought 6. 6.5 was so good that I skipped 7. Been buying and playing every version since then.

I'm almost positive I started with OOTP4. I still think OOTP6 and 6.51 are my favorite versions of all time.
I haven't bought every once since I started playing OOTP, but I've come pretty close.

Was OOTP 11 the last version to be released on a disc? While that was my first one, I wouldn't even be able to do that now...my laptop's CD drive broke over a year ago.

Started OOTP2 with CD, been rocking ever since , though somehow missed ootp 6 and 6.5 which by common consensus seems to have been the "Revolver" and "Sgt.Pepper" of OOTP. I think from 12 onwards the games have been great and I have been hooked but ootp 16 is for me "The White album" - pure genius.

OOTP15 for me, although I had been looking for a game like this ever since FPS: Baseball Pro wouldn't work on my machine anymore. Tried Baseball Mogul ~2005ish, but it didn't scratch the itch. Wish I'd found OOTP at that time...but glad I found it last year at least!
