I just went through all the 2019 MLB players for something I'm doing with the facegen project, and noticed a small number of errors in the historical database in the process.

These players are missing their historical minors ID (all have played in the minor leagues):

Charlie Morton: ID: morton001cha
JD Martinez: ID: martin005jul
Ervin Santana: ID: santan001erv
Michael Fiers: ID: fiers-001mic
Hyun-Jin Ryu: ID: ryu---000hye

These players have the wrong historical minors ID assigned to them (checked against baseball reference):

Kendrys Morales: ID: morale001leo -> morale001ken
J.C. Ramirez: ID: ramire001eir -> ramire006jua
Kyle Wright: ID: wright002kyl -> wright003kyl
Jose R Alvarez: ID: alvare001emi -> alvare009jos
David Hernandez: ID: hernan003dav -> hernan002dav

And Kendrys Morales is mistakenly listed as "Kendry" Morales

Just noticed also for 2019, Peter O'Brien imports as retired and is missing his 2019 stat line.

In a historical game starting in 1977 and now in 1979 I noticed 23 of 68 catchers having a defensive rating of 80. Also an absurd number of minor league cachers have the maximim rating. Is this intentional or a bug?

2016 Binghamton Mets are missing from the database, the actual team, I don't know if any of the players are.

2015-2016 Lehigh Valley IronPigs are misnamed Allentown IronPigs, cosmetic I know but still technically an error.

Also I thought all affiliated Minor Leagues were supposed to be in the game. If so the Sophomore League is missing it's entire history.

the overall rating is produced in game and is dependent on your settings

catcher arm and ability exist in the historical database if you are having troubles with those.

Henry "Jake" Spearman played 3B his entire Negro League career. Yet, in a 1941 import, he is rated in CF but not 3B. Any reason why?

Just checked the CSV file and it does show Jake Spearman, RowID 144542 (spearm000jak).

Interestingly, an old version from a couple years ago had Henry and Jake in it as separate players. I wonder if something got fouled up there.

Hmmm, I started up a 1925 game and there's a single Negro League that's basically the Negro National League...but the other major black league, the Eastern Colored League, is missing, and none of its players are in the game--including Hall of Famers like Oscar Charleston, Biz Mackey, John Henry Lloyd, Judy Johnson, etc. Any plans to put the ECL in the game at some point?

played on different teams but at the same time

probably two different dudes. - neither should have been removed in the first place

i'll put them both back in if I can get my hands to work

no but the players should already be in as free agents.

As far as I know, "Jake" was a nickname for Henry Spearman--he's called Jake once or twice in newspapers @ 1942.

There were no fewer than six Spearman brothers in the Negro leagues:

OK, that makes sense. If you start the game earlier, say in 1920, when Charleston (for example) played for Indianapolis, then he'll be around later.

I started this particular game in 1925, though, and nobody from an ECL team that year is in the game (as an FA or otherwise). The eight Negro league teams signed up a bunch of white guys as FAs to fill out their rosters.

Anyway, it would be great if the ECL were included eventually...

Thought I posted this earlier. Guess not...

Here are the negro leagues that you get in OOTP:

1920-1931: Negro National League
1932 East-West League replaces NNL for one year
1933-1936: NNL
1937-1948: Negro League separated by two divisions: Negro National League and Negro American League
1949-1950: NAL only; NNL goes away
1951-: no more negro leagues

Not sure if the this is the correct place to note this, but the 1950 Springfield (Missouri) Cubs of the Western League are missing from the MiLBTeams.csv file. This may or may not be due to confusion around there also being a 1950 Springfield (Mass.) Cubs in the International League.
