Please post here for problems re "corrupt or a save-game from an old version"

I just got it again. All 3 times I started a franchise on last years version I got it, and now the first time on this one. Four tries, never even made it thrkugh one season. Please.just bring back MLB Manager. No amount of features is worth having a game that simply does not work.

When I go to load file it shows name of file but no progress date (the other saved file shows 04/17/01 - date in the franchise)

Never had older version. I believe I downloaded ootp go 23 after last patch

Hey all, if possible, can you contact our support team about this issue? They'll walk you through how to upload the .lg file (if you're on Android) to our file transfer system, at which point I can manually fix the game

Hi,

Have posted a ticket but thought I'd try here too.

I am 2 years into a save on OOTP Go 23, when after I closed my game suddenly (swiped it away off background by mistake) during Spring Training and trying to get back in, I was told my save was corrupted. I can't restore the game from backup on my own, and have turned on debug trace since the problems. Am on Android. Any help appreciated.

Have opened a new save since which works fine, so it's just the one save where I'm having issues.

CPU: 1024 MHz
Free Disk Space: 0MB
Physical Memory: 124mb free (3,708mb)
Virtual Memory: 124mb free (7,803mb)

Happened twice now after 2 months of the season. Try to access and get corrupt DB or save of old version msg. On a Samsung Galaxy tab 6 lite with 47G of available storage.

Not sure if anyone s working on this as the dates on the forum go back to 2021. I’ve started/restarted the 2023 game 4 times. Got the corrupt data or save old version each time. Using a Samsung tab6 lite and had no issues until about 2 months in. Saved the game, attempted to restart later and that’s when the msg comes up. I have 47G of space so that’s not an issue.

Didn't think it would happen since I played like 20 games. Still double saving every time the game saved just to make sure I had a secondary file to work on. The game got stuck on save mode after a played match on franchise using mlb 4.99 data. It was in a non stop save til I finally had to quit app and restart game to get it to come up.. when i started it back up last night it brought down a new saved file and throws the error that made me cringe when I hit continue game. This actually happened after 3 games last week and I reloded from my second save file and it loaded right up. This time no dice on either file or continue..love the game on computer but not so much on the s9+ phone. I am not sure but I might try to take out the save files and reinstall the game and drop them back in if that is possible and the data for the whole season including minor league moves is all saved in that file. I have the memory box checked this go around also

And still happening. Actually made it through a whole season this time. Farthest ever. Doesn't matter, it will happen eventually every time. I would pay $100 to just have MLB Manager back

And 3 days later, no response to the ticket. Granted for $5 you get what you pay for. But we'd pay a whole lot more for a functional product. Theyve decided it's cheaper to charge less and have zero customer service

Hey all, I haven't heard from our support team about any corrupt games uploaded to the FTP. If you have a corruption issue, please follow the steps here https://support.ootpdevelopments.com...p-developments so so I can access the games. Afterwards, please post in this thread the name of your game so I know which ones to look for.

I need to get your problematic .lg file, which on Android you can find here;
Internal storage\Android\data\com.com2us.ootpbbgo24.android .google.global.normal\files\AppData\prefs\saved_ga mes
on your phone. If it takes a long time to send as a zip, try again with only the .dat files and the auto-save folder.
For some games I may be able to fix them manually.
If you're not able to use the FTP, you can also upload to Google Drive and send me a pm with a link if you wish.

Hi Will, thanks for this response. When I try to access the files, it does not allow me to handle the file "text_data.dat". I always get an error when trying to copy or move it. Will it be a problem not having this in the zip?

Hm usually I can plug my phone into my PC and copy-paste it to my Desktop using File Explorer. What software have you been using to handle the folder?

I started a new Custom game and chose the Athletics. I saved the game for the night and today when I try to continue or load the game, it gives me:
ERROR
AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE LOADING THE DATABASE!
COULD NOT LOAD WORLD FILE

I followed the steps to try and restore the game, but it didn't work and I was told to start a new game.

Then I tried a new season again as the White Sox, saved last night and just tried to continue the game. I get the message:
THE LOADING OF THE DATABASE FAILED. IT IS EITHER CORRUPT OR A SAVE GAME FROM AN OLD VERSION.

Anyone out there that can help? Love the game thus far, but not being able to save and continue is kind of a dealbreaker.

I'm on a Gaming PC, Windows 10 Home with 20+ MGB free.

Hi, this sounds like an issue with the desktop game, this bug reports forum is for the mobile game so things here won't be helpful. Please make a new ticket here https://support.ootpdevelopments.com...l/en/newticket and the right people will be able to help

I know everyone is shocked to know it happened again. I'd like to say it's a good thing this app is just $5, but all of my other GM games are free, and this is the only one that crashes.

I'm a sucker, so I'll keep buying it, but the only correct strategy is to go all in, because your file will corrupt before you have a chance to rebuild

Yeah, they say to submit a ticket, and when you do, they ignore you, and try to sell you a new version of their ****ty product. They could just support MLB Manager again, which never had a problem, but that would be too obvious
