It should appear automatically once you've checked the appropriate box:



At the very least, I've never had the wordmark not appear when that box is checked. Changes you make to the wordmark should be reflected in pretty much real-time, and you shouldn't be able to even click on any of those controls if the wordmark is hidden.

I'm finding that for my purposes the fonts that come with the Uniform Maker cover almost all of my needs. Most baseball jerseys have numbers that are some kind of block font. I've had to import only a few fonts from my Windows directory for certain uniforms.

One minor problem is the more I use program the smaller the box for choosing colors becomes and it gets to the point where the eye dropper vanishes.

Everytime I go down to "Wordmark" and go to the box that says "Plain" and try and change the style to arched the program hangs up on me...I've come back hours later and it still says "applying warp". Any ideas?

That can happen if you don't have ImageMagick installed.

What's New

• You can now drag and drop .ttf and .otf fonts directly into the app!
• Fonts that are manually added (either by the buttons or by dragging and dropping) now get automatically added to the user fonts folder.
• ImageMagick detection has been implemented (properly this time), and effects that rely on ImageMagick will not be available if the required ImageMagick executable is not found.

What's Fixed

• The app should now notify the user when any fonts from the local user fonts folder caused errors instead of causing the app to hang.
• Fixed an issue that caused the jersey wordmark to revert back to the "plain" state (despite what the drop-down indicated) when the font was changed.
• Fixed an issue that caused the "drop shadow" alignment in the font tab to revert to centered (despite what the drop-down indicated) when changing fonts.
• Fixed an issue that caused all sorts of odd behavior with the cap text (strokes disappearing, etc).
• Fonts will now generate as .png files - the library I was using for .webp generation was causing build issues on macOS.

CTRL-click on the app and choose "Open" from the menu - that will bring up a slightly different version of the security message with an option to open the app. You should only have to do that once and macOS should store an exception for the app going forward.

Eriqjaffe, thank you for your wonderful uniform maker and all you do. Just one little thing I noticed watching a game today, and looked to other photos for verification: the batterman logo on the jersey in uniform maker is slightly thin. In real life, it's thicker/more-stretched-out from top to bottom. But again thank you for your contributions.

Thanks - the model does stretch some things in strange ways, I'll take a look at this at some point.

What's Fixed

Improved error handling when importing fonts - fonts that you import with one of the buttons or by dropping on the app should fail gracefully, and fonts that you add to the user fonts folder should fail gracefully and be removed from the folder. In all cases, a non-cryptic error message will be displayed to the user.

No, but it's something I've been meaning to work on. For now, you can fake it by putting spaces in. Think "B U L L D O G S"

Some of the text effects can't be natively performed using the HTML Canvas so they pass the wordmark to ImageMagick which does its thing and sends it back to the Canvas. Similarly, any color replacement in an image file works the same way. I've been looking at ways of getting rid of the ImageMagick dependency but it's been difficult at best.

Well, um, I guess the error checking is too robust.

I had been relying on two different libraries to handle importing fonts - 'ttfinfo' for individual adds and 'fontscan' for the user folder. This 0.8.4 release uses 'fontscan' for both. Clearly, 'fontscan' is a bit more (too) strict, but I could never get 'ttfinfo' to work properly when working with more than one font at a time.

Looking at it this morning, I've built this using a different library entirely. It's been working for me with my testing - give it a go and see how it behaves for you. Just a portable Windows build for this so it won't overwrite your installed version.

This stand alone build allowed me to use my fonts. Thanks for the quick response.
