One more is Detroit's Jahmai Jones. I love him, but he's a too much of a balanced hitter in-game after only being deployed against LHPs and crushing them last season.

He had decent success against righties (for a quad-A pure platoon guy) in a very small sample, so I understand if that's what's making him sweet. In my current Drive to the Pennant sim with my Tigers he's playing everyday and hitting well above average.

Yeah, his splits were a bit too neutral.

Adjusted them a bit and veerry slightly toned down the base ratings.

One ratings and performance outlier I've noticed is Shane Baz.

In real life in 2025, he was 11th among all SPs in Stuff+. In OOTP 27, with 100% scouting and 1 to 100 scale, he's got a 47 Stuff, which places him outside the top 50 of SP. On top of that, in my most recent sim, Baltimore released him in mid-May after 4 terrible starts. Something seems off enough to me there that I thought it was worth mentioning.

My man, you killed the dream

I like believing this is just a pleasant surprise after witnessing it a few times on my Tigs.

I do feel like the game has a rich tradition of guys who succeed here and no where else, or vice versa. Ohtani has been an ok pitcher for the rest of his career for the last few versions, I saw this called out by another player recently which has been my experience.

Not sure if this actually affects his progression/ability in game, but Jason DeCaro is listed as a College Junior, but it says in the draft log he is "from high school" as a draftee and seems to be recognized by the game as a HS prospect not a CO prospect

There's nothing in the db settings that should cause that. It shouldn't actually affect anything, it should just be cosmetic on that one line.

Nah, he'll still be very good, just more of a lefty basher type now.

I actually realized when I tweaked him last night that we'd already toned him down a lot earlier in beta. For some reason the combo of ZIPS and our algorithm for importing ZIPS reealllly loves him this year.

Nothing is wildly off with Baz, but he is deserving of a very slight boost to stuff. (though arguably of a decrease to movement)

As a Baz appreciator, I'll take what I can get

. I'd expect his home run numbers to go down a good bit this year, now that he's not pitching in Steinbrenner field.

His stamina was low too. Boosted that a lot. So between that and the boost to stuff, it should leave him still much better off even with a slight movement knock.

So not only ones who were reported like Baz and Lowe, but a whole bunch of other guys as well.

I'm a huge brewers fan and thanks for the release! here's some feedback about the roster, some are more objective than others but here's my thoughts
-Brandon Lockridge is listed as a 2nd basemen
-Brandon Woodruff will be hurt to start the season
-Jackson Chourio has no position ratings at CF when he played 755 innings there last year (also think he should have better outfield defensive ratings, he had 2 OAA there)
-Brice Turang might be deserving of a little power boost, he hit 18 HRs last year
-Chad Patrick's ratings in my opinion are a little too low
-Maybe Jett Williams or David Hamilton could get some position ratings at 3B? Both of them have never played there but could this season for the brewers but understandable not to
