Out of Thousand Oaks California. Westlake is a premier California prep program, ranking 18th nationally in 2000. Westlake has also produced 60 players to go on to the next levels of baseball, 34 of them have gone pro, with 5 reaching the Show. Mike Lieberthal played for this school, not to mention freaking modern day stud Christian Yelich!

Out of Simi Valley California. The Final California Prep Powerhouse Program from the CIF Southern Section on this thread. Simi Valley ranked 22nd nationally in 2008 with a 25-8 record. Simi Valley has produced 26 professional player. Simi Valley has had 19 players drafted by MLB teams in it's history. Simi Valley has Tim Laker, Scott Radinsky, Jeff and Jared Weaver has alumni. Simi Valley is a kick ass California Prep Program, and I beg you to change my mind!

It would be great to get this post stickied based on the uniqueness and scope of this project. If any of you OOTP diehards who appreciate this work, use it in your game, and feel the same way, you should make it known here on this thread now. I feel it should be based on being easily accessible to any and all, so they don't have to search this thread down in any event that I may not post for a while. Let the moderators and Markus know this thread should be sitckied!

From Wikipedia, "The CIF Los Angeles City Section (CIF-LA) is the governing body of high school athletics for public schools in the city of Los Angeles and some surrounding communities. All of these schools were once associated with the Los Angeles Unified School District."

Located in the exclusive Pacific Palisades community of Los Angeles. This school has produced 11 drafted players, with 3 going on to have short lived MLB careers. The most noted MLB guy was P Jon Leicester of the Cubs back in the mid 2000's. This school did produce the 3rd overall draft pick of the 1979 draft, who went on to play 4 seasons in the Blue Jays organization, but will remembered more for his 1986 Pro Bowl Nod and NFL Career, QB Jay Schroeder.

Located in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles, known as Westchester High School until 2011, it is now known as Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets. But for ease of use, I refer to it as the former. Established in 1957, Westchester High has produced 29 drafted players in it's history, with 7 playing MLB. Notable names from this school include Vic Darensbourg, Rob Picciolo and Roy Smalley.

Named after the American exploring legend, Fremont High School is located in the South Central district of Los Angeles. The school was opened in 1924. In it's history, this program has produced a unprecedented 25 Major League ballplayers. Eric Davis, Chet Lemon, Bobby Tolan and Bob Watson are Big League examples of stellar careers that originated from this school.

Located in Bell California, this school serves several municipalities. The school serves the cities of Bell, Cudahy, and Maywood, and it serves portions of Huntington Park and portions of Vernon. Bell High School has produced 10 major league players since it's founding in 1925. Most notable of these players are Marvin Benard and Rip Russell.

The Cougars ranked #3 nationally in 1996 with a 31-3 record. 28 players have gone onto pro careers from this school, with 8 reaching MLB. Notable baseball players who are Kennedy alumni include Terrmel Sledge, Garret Anderson and Jon Garland, who was a 1997 High School 1st Team All American, 10th overall pick, and 2005 MLB All Star.
