LEONARDO RODRIGUEZ
Born - Mexico 0-9-0 Rodriguez served as an on and off strawweight punching bag for seven years. He was even passed-off as an opponent for Omar Soto in a bout for the Mexican Belt. If anyone ever tells you that the Mexican Strawweight Belt isn't legit, don't believe them.

OMAR SOTO
Hometown - Hidalgo, Mexico 13(10)-2-1 This Mexican Strawweight Champion has a big punch but no truly impressive wins to-date. His only stoppage loss came at the hands of WBO Latino Flyweight Champ Jose Lopez when Soto tried to step up in weight.

Vic Patrick, Lyall Appo & co.
Quote:
I saw that Aussie Aboriginal SW Lyall Appo fight in Brisbane around 1991, and he looked a pretty good fighter, I was suprised when he retired. Another Aussie SW that ConnChris might want to do is Jack "The Ripper" Russell who fought for the IBF SW title (I think). Cheers, Shane.

I thought hamed was talking about a "new" Vic Patrick" that went by "Vic Vic" Thanks for clearing that up. I had the fighter file, but not the picture - Thank you!
Here is what I whipped up on the Ripper. I gave him the benefit of the doubt in a few areas because I was rating him as a straw. He ranged all the way up to Jr. Banatm and fought a ton of title fights (almost every time out). JACK "The Ripper" RUSSELL Hometown - Werribee, Victoria, Australia 8(3)-6-1 Russell only dropped one bout as a Strawweight, he defeated Rick Budgen to gain the Australian Strawweight Crown. The Ripper packed a lot title fights into a short career; winning the Australian Jr Flyweight, Australian Flyweight, Australian Jr Bantam, and Asia Pacific Jr Flyweight belts. He also lost a title bid for the IBO Flyweight title to Scotty Olson and to Ratanapol Sor Vorapin for the IBF Strawweight title. Had he been able to stay at strawweight, Russell might have done even better.

Hector Luis Patri - JFly replay
Patri's next 20 fights from 1983-05-06 to 1987-01-30 introduces 5 new fighters. During this span he fought Mario De Marco (rated 5 at JFly) 4 times losing all 4 on points in real life. Patri managed to beat De Marco one time in my replay. Two of his fights with De Marco was for the Argentine Light Flyweight Title in which Patri lost both by UD12. Here are the 5 new fighters that Patri encountered during this time span:
Ramon Horacio Albers 10-13-3 (2) Argentina, rated 3 Ramon Jose Cufre 7-12-1 (3) Argentina, rated 1 Melile Luzhipo (record incomplete) South Africa, rated 3 Alberto Pacheco 1-16-5 (0) Argentina, rated 1 Adrian Daniel Roman 43-11-8 (21) Argentina, rated 6 Patri's record during this 20 fight span in real life 6-11-3 (0) and in the replay 7-12-1 (0) bringing his totals to: Career real life - 26-19-9 (3) Career replay - 29-23-2 (4) |

Straws
Ok, enough with the little guys already. I have made 50 - 60 of them now. I will zip them up and shoot them over to Gunsmoke at a future date.
Now I have: 1) These created files 2) 160-170 stiff pack which conains TC files with real strawweight boxers' names who fought 5 or less bouts. 3) 160-170 TC fictional pack 4) The 50 or so SW that came with the stock game That should make for a viable division if anyone actualy gives a rip and wants to run one. I may make another pack in the future once I see how these play out for a career. CONN

Thanks for mentioning Mr. Russell; with his record, I would have overlooked him. He is an interesting fellow.
