is it possible for devs to add an option for adding touruments(Clubs/National Teams) in the custom game setup menu,other than in game?

When I created a customized league, I am prompted with the breakdown of the league with Canada-USA-Rest of the World for players and draft

But is there anywhere (doesn't seem so, unless very hidden) .. where I can adjust those numbers as I proceed through the years?

Not at the moment, but I think that's something we might be able to make editable.

Might be possible for 9, but probably would be a little too complex to do for an update.

When the next update comes out which I assume will be after the NHL trade deadline which will include updated rosters, is there anyway to get pre trade deadline rosters as an option, too?

When there is a rival league in operation to the NHL (e.g. WHA in the 70's) , does it make any difference to a players likelihood of signing with a team in the rival league, if his rights are owned by a team in the league, versus if his rights for the league are set to 'free' ?

Opening night rosters will still be an option, but rosters as of just before the deadline rosters? No.

Teams will be a little more likely to purse a player they own the rights to, but that's probably more than offset by all the teams in the league being able to make an offer, even in the years where the league is small.

Question on waiver claims. How long do you have to keep a player you claimed off waivers? I tried to send down a player I had claimed 32 days ago and it told me the player had a NMC. I always thought the NHL rule was you had to keep a player on your NHL roster for 30 days after the claim.

Nice, but would you suggest slowing down my simulation and wait for it (likely in a coming update) .. or you are just answering it in a technical sense.. technically do-able....

I am playing at GM only in Europe, and my coach is using my top prospect in a dull way (fourth line as "agitator"). Is there anything I can do to suggest him another usage for the kid?

Probably not in an update for 8, I don't think we're going to be able to fit it in with the time we have left. But we're planning on taking a look at the custom league setup mechanics for 9, so it'd make sense to fit it in then.

Noticing very high goals/game when simulating 'own league games 2D' in the year 2026.

Average of over 7 goals per game.

Does the name naturally attempt to raise the scoring in the NHL?

Yeah, it's been reported that scoring is higher in 2D as opposed to classic. In historical mode, the goals per game is automatically adjusted based on actual scoring in any given era. No reason why you couldn't do the same and lower it for 2026 and beyond.

And maybe I won't need it for my purposes (perhaps) .. but a still think it's a good feature

I have the same leagues that I have rebooted several times for different reasons (earlier: noleague transfer to newest FHM, roster preferences, history) ...

But now I can have them in the saem universe... so I am trying to create that ...

Purpose is the first part up to 1990 .. I wanted mostly Canadian and Americans.. and have it set-up for the draft to be that ..

but want a lot more europeans in the draft for the 90s and on ...

But didn't have a Juniors set up until 1990 ... so maybe this offests the percentages?? and more Europeans will enter through juniors???
