Shires jump out to a 5-0 lead before Ohtani allows 6 unanswered runs leading to a Shires defeat against the Mammoths ...

The Whitetails complete the sweep in Phoenix, their 2nd consecutive road series sweep, 6 game winning streak. 9.5 game division lead.

Aldegheri pitching St Louis to a much needed win. With WC having the day off, the Shires are now 9 GB, with 39 games to play ... including a 3 game series against Windy City in September.

The season just kept getting worse and worse for StL. I simmed the games day-by-day and it was tough to take. The preseason favorite slipped all the way to 4th place in the division. I took some time off due to being busy as heck now that the school year has started, and there was a combination of being burnt out, bored, frustrated, etc

While Philly did not get a monster season from FA Bobby Witt Jr, the Phreedom did win the division, going from worst to first, and made the playoffs for the 1st time in NABO's 4 year history.

No surprises in the Great Lakes division as Montreal finishes at the top for the 4th consecutive year ... the only division champion the division has known in NABO history.

Lazaro Montes joins Rodriguez, Williams, and Tucker as superstars, while Soriano and Brown head the rotation. The only potential weakness with the team is the bullpen, which posted a losing record.

Julio Rodriguez looks to repeat as MVP as the Mounties also look to repeat as NABO Champions.

After winning the division in 2025, Carolina followed up with two 3rd place finishes, before reclaiming the top spot in 2028. The Crawfish slugged their way to the division title, sporting the East's best offense, led by Wyatt Langford and Juan Soto. The concern with the team in the their bottom 5 pitching staff.

Orlando, the 2026 NABO Champion, rode it's #1 rated pitching staff to its 3rd straight division title. The offense finished in the top 5, despite not having any "superstars", as the team continues to go the pitching and defense route to success.

Vancouver held off Seattle to win the Mount Rainer division. After finishing 2nd the last 2 years, the Vanguard finally make the playoffs led by Alonso and Quero on offense.

San Diego wins the division for the 3rd time in 4 years, taking the top spot after finishing 2nd last season. The offense "OBP'd" their way to the 2nd best offense in the West, while the starting rotation is a postseason concern. The Silverbacks have a habit of advancing far into the playoffs when they are being over looked, and they hope to repeat that pattern in 2028.

Windy City won the division in 2025, and then finished behind St Louis the next 2 seasons, before returning to the top spot in 2028. The Whitetails hit on the offseason acquisitions: Nootbar, Swanson, Treinen, and Suarez to propel to the division title. With WC and StL both boasting 2 division titles, a true rivalry is in place for 2029.

St Louis was 45-38 in the 1st half, and 31-48 in the 2nd half.

Midway through the season, I switched the league totals to move from "average 1980s" to the "average totals of my lifetime", the last 50 years, 1970-2010s. I don;t know whether this was a major factor, but the Shires are not setup to be as dominant in a more strikeout heavy era. I switched to the league totals because I noticed that "stuff pitchers" were nowhere near as dominant as they should be, and BABIP guys were "over successful" on the mound, so to speak.

Monterrey won the division for the 4th year, every year, putting them as the most dominant team inn the West's history. However, the Monsters have yet to win a NABO World Series.

The stacked roster achieved both the #1 offense and the team was #1 in run prevention.

San Diego, once again, makes a deep playoff run to the LCS, before losing to Monterrey.

NABO fans finally got the WS they've been wanting, Montreal and Monterrey, the two best franchises in the organization.

The teams did not disappoint, taking the series to the full 7 games, with Montreal winning in Monterrey to capture the crown, repeating as NABO champions.

* I watched the world series, and it was pretty epic, living up to the hype.

Julio Rodriguez has established himself as the best player in NABO.

Chandler Simpson shows some promise at making a run at more SB records, if he can continue to stay healthy and get on base at a decent clip.

Toomy Tanks finishes 2nd in HR, 3rd in RBI, 5th in total bases, 3rd in strikeouts, 4th in extra base hits, and 3rd in ISO.

Sad story - I had a contract negotiation going well with Hunter Greene in the offseason, but I pulled out due to concerns over the accuracy of his ratings, whether he was worth the money, and if he would take IP away from a developing Ellwanger. Man, I'm dumb.
