After changing the NHL salary cap on 7/1/22, trade deadline days result in very, very few trades if any at all. Is this a known issue? Do I have to change the trade frequency to offset this? Is this just happening to me?

Shouldn't make much of a difference, assuming you increased it - if it was decreased, that may have put so many teams in cap trouble that there isn't much of a pool of potential trading partners.

Increased the cap by 1M and floor by about 700k to mimic next seasons increase. Trading through the season is fine but there was almost no activity at the deadline. I haven't tested how season 2 goes if there is no increase.

Hey i've started a small custom league, but I have an issue. The initial draft talent was scaled to the small number of team (10), so every team got 1-2 stars and solid depth, it was perfect, but the rookie drafts are ridiculously strong. Every year I can get almost NHL-ready 4.5 star players in the 7th round. Is there anyway to fix/change this? A few seasons in and my entire team is 4 to 5 star players.

What do I do about bad morale in the AHL because of spending when you don't have any control over minor league finances in historical?!

If you're playing multi-player, you should be able to create a new GM, have him take over the AHL team and then adjust the budget accordingly.

When the intermission comes up and it asks me if I want to try explaining the role to the player, does that mean I have them in a role they are unfamiliar with/not good at?
Seems like every intermission I have a handful of confused guys and it takes a few tries before they finally understand it. Does this affect their ratings or play at all if they remain confused? |

I would like to restart the career mode with a different team -- is there any way to randomize the 1st/subsequent drafts as I do somewhat recall which players turn out well and which do not. Thanks!

For a standard game? You can choose the "Randomize Starting Scout Bias", which will make the players look a little different to your scouts at the start of the game, but that won't change which ones actually have good underlying ratings. It will change the way the AI looks at the players, though, which should result in some variation to their drafting and player usage, which will produce different-looking careers for a lot of players.

Is it just me or is it harder now to max out the scouting coverage??
I've got a solid array of scouts in each region with strong ability and potential attributes but I can't get higher than 13.0 in each region. I used to max this out pretty easily before. Has anything changed? If so, what do I need to do to improve? |

You don't have control over the farm team budget on the 1st of the month. It's locked. So morale is permanently low. A big deal, no? |

I think you have to be running a multiplayer historical game. That way you can create an additional GM character and put them in charge of your farm team. That should unlock the financial controls, although, since they don't play any *actual* games in historical, there's probably not going to be any money coming in, (at least not from ticket revenue), which could make the whole exercise moot. |

the no morale spending in lower levels historical is definitely hurting our historical online league. id love to see a fix for that. AI Teams should have a minimal team morale spending.

Hi, I'm a new player of FHM and I'm really enjoying it so far.
But I could use some general advice on how to manage fitness and player rotation and therefore I have some questions 1. At what percentage of fitness should I start thinking about resting a player? 2. What does impact the amount of fitness percentage the player will loose after a game? Stamina attribute? Time on ice? 3. When a player is getting low on fitness percentage, is it better to undress him and give him rest for one game or to put him on lower lines (3rd or 4th and then decrease his playing time)? 4. Does specific training has an impact on fitness level? |

Hi, I want to make a rather large custom game. I'm finding the in game system doesn't work great for that because you can't go back and look at leagues you already finished until you start the game. Because of this I'm constantly second guessing myself that I made a mistake somewhere. I also don't like that I can't save my progress and leave it. The solution I came up with was to just make a random custom game and edit the files to make it what I actually want, but when I tried this, the file was all written in enderman language. Does anyone know what text editor to use to access quickstart text files?
