I do get to see most of the games, the blackout only hits when they visit the Yankees, Mets, or Sox. I can't recall if it is in effect when they play at Philly. That's only another half hour or so down the road.

Actually, I feel bad whining about the blackouts. My son got us MLB.tv for free this year with a T-Mobile offer.

DirecTV thinks I'm local for Atlanta, even though I'm ~200 miles away.

However, this meant that Extra Innings showed me more of the Bravos, not less. They simply blacked out GKR when the Mets played the Noc-a-Homas, giving me all the Chip Caray I could ever want…whether I wanted Chip or not.

I guess MLB.tv has the advantage of being an app, for those of you who like to watch on your wristwatch or whatever. Definitely seems to have its drawbacks, though.

I am going into my 3rd year of being unable to watch the Reds. Ever since Fox sold the rights to Bally. I am not interested in getting a VPN for my Roku, both for the work involved, but also because in some part I feel like I am stealing when I do it.

I figure if MLB doesn't want me to follow my team, I can watch more soccer.
