Personally not a fan of all the trees.

I use Google Earth to get the backgrounds. When I went to the location of this park all the buildings were distorted. Even the trees looked lumpy. They looked like something out of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920). If you know a better place to get backrounds, let me know and I will try it.

Silvam thanks once again for these different era ballparks. They fit in terrifically with all the seasons I have going. And Adion adding his backgrounds to them makes you two a great team. Thank you guys.

These creations are awesome. Not much more can be said. It has to be a labor of love. Just wish I had the tech savvy to try a project like this. How long does it usually take to create a ballpark like this?

Thank You ST LOU 1

I'd say it takes about 3-5 hours straight computer time to crank one out. Some are quicker, some are longer.

much to this game.

This is just what I was talking about. I have a game started in 1960 and playing in 1961 currently. Next season, the Dodgers will leave the Coliseum. Now, I'm ready for that. Thanks.

Yankee Stadium 1952.

First off, thanks for making this and all the other historical parks. Amazing!

For this one, however, no matter what I do, the park appears to be tilted to the left. I have played with the camera angles, but it seems like the file itself. While I enjoy having a couple of beers at the ball game, this park makes me feel dizzy.

Nice! Looks like the wind is blowing left to right...

BTW, was that "Yesterday's Game" website helpful for Memorial Stadium?

It's a great site, and I found all of those pics by doing a Google search. There are not many from 1954 so I had very little to work with.

Yeah, I was blown away that you were able to pull that one together. That's one I'm sure no one would have thought of...

Agreed - park does appear to tilt left, no matter the camera angle.

ALSO - there are a couple of problems with the structure of the ballpark itself:

1.) - it looks like it has too many decks - it looks like a 5-deck park - Yankee Stadium had only three decks.
2.) - the support beams that were a classic part of the old ballpark are missing. (the models of Comiskey Park, Tigers Stadium and Cleveland Stadium have the support beams showing up very nicely)
3.) - the iconic frieze rimming the roof should be just a little larger. Not much... but it seems slightly off size-wise relative to the overall dimensions of the structure of the park.

Just thought I'd throw these out there along with the risp2out's comment in the event any future tweaking to the model was planned.

My next project is three rivers from 1970

Then I was planning on re-doing veterans stadiums since the one I posted is not completely my own and I think it could use a rebuild. (Planning on one from the 70's and one from the 80's)

I'd also like to re-name the stadiums that don't have years to add the correct time period.

Well I can't quite let all of these mistakes go without looking into it.

I don't know if I agree about the number of decks. I don't think there are five. I'll have to look at the model more closely. I took the info from a diagram.

After a look at the pic. That is not 5 decks. The third deck had a walkway in the middle that has a wall behind it making it look like two decks
