On the bright side, Shed is pitching Game 2. I guess teams were not provided Ultrajet this season since he did not pitch Game 1. I forget about fatigue because of the usual weekend-only series. Maybe Shed can be the hero for Games 2 and 5. Party Boys pitching most certainly needs to keep its midseason mojo going to advance. Giving up 12 in a game is not going to get them there, for sure.

26 August 2297 - Story Correction from Lexington-Nordhagen Beach Game 1

We want to publish a correction to yesterday's story involving Game 1 of Lexington at Nordhagen Beach.

In the story, we reported that Night Demon Archaki "gave up the final two earned runs in the 8th inning before pitching a scoreless 9th."

However, that was erroneous. Archaki allowed one run in the 8th inning and one run in the 9th inning. We apologize for the error and appreciate no one else throwing piss-filled bottles at our publication building.

29 August 2297 - League Championship Banners

It may be too late for The Slog Ghouls to show off their clothware this postseason after being eliminated in Game Three of the Quarterfinals, but the Ghouls can take pride in being one of only two teams in the CBO to make the playoffs both years of existence. The Oberland T-51s are the other team.

Today, three of the home teams have received their banners to display before first pitch to show that they are league champions. Congratulations to the four league champions of 2297: The Slog Ghouls (BL), Lexington Synths (IL), Goodneighbor Hancocks (ML), and Oberland T-51s (ML).
