St. Louis Cardinals

Does anyone have a color picture of what the 1941 Cards hat looks like?
I've never seen one.
Hate to have to guess.
It isn't the one pictured.
It's the one for Gus Mancuso
Or is it the same?

Thank you ortforshort for the continued excellent production of the colorized 40's stars and cards. I have a folder on my PC where I capture all of your offerings and when you see them all spread out across the screen it is a beautiful sight!

Am I correct in assuming that the Detroit Tigers are up next? If so, we will start posting black & white photos of Tigers of the 40s. Here are a couple to get started:

Bubba Floyd - SS - 1944 Tigers
Paul Richards - Catcher - 1943-46 Tigers - later to become the well know manager of the 1950s & 60s

As always, great cards!! They are crystal clear especially the 1957 template cards. One card I especially took note of was the Pisoni card with the Yankees. I have been looking for a decent photo of Pisoni for quite some time. If you could post just the photo, I would be obliged.

Nice doing business with you on these. You've supplying great pics for the cards and it's always nice to know that your work is appreciated. Anyway, lets do the St. Louis Cardinals next. Don't worry, the Detroit pictures won't be wasted, we'll get to the Tigers shortly

I'll start our Cardinals of the 40s (war years) with these five:

Whitey Kurowski - played 3B for the Cardinals from 1941-49.

Glenn Gardner - pitched for the Cardinals in 1945.

George "Red" Munger - pitcher for the Cardinals in 1943-44, spent 1945 in the military, returned with the Cardinals from 1946-52.

Bill Crouch - pitcher for the Cardinals in 1941 and 1945 - his Dad, Bill Crouch Sr, pitched in one game with the 1910 St. Louis Browns.

Howie Krist - pitcher who had cups of coffee with the Cardinals in 1937 and 1938, went to the minor leagues and returned to pitch for the Cardinals from 1941-43, spent 1944-45 in the military, returned for a final season with the Cardinals in 1946.
