Major Player Signings - 1904 Off-season

Major Player Signings - 1904 Off-season

*NOTE: Players with 8 years of major league service can become free agents in both the NLB and ALB. Players with 6 years can become free agents in the ALB.

Major Career Stats: 352 (303 started) games, 120-178 Record, 3.73 ERA, 2,550.2 IP, 868 Ks, 1.51 WHIP

- 10 year NLB veteran who has played the last 6 seasons with the Providence Roosters. Once they got relegation to the ALB he wanted out and has now joined the most successful club in the world. His record has suffered by playing for bad teams as he spent 4 seasons with the Baltimore Cannons to start his career.

Major Career Stats: 1,350 Games, 1,826 Hits, 1,018 Runs, 1,131 RBIs, 129 HR, .337 AVG, .390 OBP, .539 SLG
Awards: 2x NLB Championships, 1x NLB Hitter of the Year

- After spending 10 years with the Cincinnati Buckeyes and winning 2 championships, also losing the last 2 he felt like he needed a change. He has decided to move to the big smoke of Chicago and is a great pick up for the White Stockings.

Major Career Stats: 1,335 Games, 1,623 Hits, 830 Runs, 833 RBIs, 48 HR, .318 AVG, .349 OBP, .443 SLG
Awards: 2x NLB Championships, 1x ALB Championships 1x Gold Glove

- After spending the last 3 seasons in St. Louis with the Lions he has decided to go back to Cincinnati where he won 2 Championships. He help the Lions get promoted to the NLB in his first season with the team but just felt like the timing was right to return to the place he played his first 7 seasons at.

Major Career Stats: 2,101 Games, 3,108 Hits, 1,754 Runs, 1,339 RBIs, 89 HR, .363 AVG, .435 OBP, .471 SLG
Awards: 4x NLB Championships, 1x NLB Hitter of the Year, 2x Championship MVP

- The greatest hitter the game has seen is on the move. After beating the Cincinnati Buckeyes in the Championship Series for the last 2 seasons he has decided to join them. The Detroit Wolves where looking to get younger and brought in a lot of outfielders in the off-season which made Burkett's decision easier as he still wants to be an everyday player at the age of 37. This will be his 4th team after 3 seasons in Chicago, 10 in Indianapolis and the last 2 in Detroit.

Major Career Stats: 443 Games, 512 Hits, 269 Runs, 210 RBIs, 14 HR, .297 AVG, .388 OBP, .411 SLG

- After 7 seasons in the ALB and the last 4 with the Pittsburgh Rebels he used the lower free agency level for ALB players to get to the NLB where he deserves to be. He missed half the season last year due to injuries but the Wolves believe he will give them many great seasons for them.

Major Career Stats: 436 Games, 649 Hits, 301 Runs, 280 RBIs, 15 HR, .343 AVG, .362 OBP, .466 SLG

- He is a 9 year ALB veteran, 8 of them with the Scranton Miners, and now he is looking forward to playing in the NLB for the first time in his career. The spot light will be on him as he was brought in and mainly picked ahead of Jesse Burkett. He is differently good enough to succeed in the NLB but to be as good as Burkett? That is yet to be seen.

Major Career Stats: 151 (141 started) games, 96-46 Record, 2.74 ERA, 1,242.0 IP, 418 Ks, 1.19 WHIP
Awards: 2x NLB Championships, 1x ALB Championship

- This is a bold move by the Detroit Wolves as they let Patten go as they didn't want to pay his large salary due to being one of the best in the league. Since he was released early he got to chose his next stop in his short career and now joins the Indianapolis Capitols who look to have the best rotation in baseball with Cy Young, George Davies and Jim Handiboe also.

Major Career Stats: 1,294 Games, 1,875 Hits, 844 Runs, 752 RBIs, 16 HR, .350 AVG, .390 OBP, .421 SLG
Awards: 3x Gold Glove

- The New Haven Knights wanted a veteran of the NLB and they got one in Willie Keeler. They also got a great hitter who hasn't hit any lower then .313 (last season) in any of his 10 seasons. He was also looking for a nice pay rise which the Knights gave to him.

Major Career Stats: 398 (353 started) games, 175-158 Record, 3.68 ERA, 3,017.2 IP, 891 Ks, 1.38 WHIP
Awards: 2x NLB Championships, 1x ALB Championship

- The journeyman has played for Philadelphia, Boston, St. Louis, New York, Cleveland and Detroit over his 12 year Major League career and he also played 7 years in the ALB when it was the North East Baseball Association. All together he has 249 wins from 547 games and over 4,000 innings pitched. He is the perfect fit for the Knights as they have 3 young gun starters in Doc White, Noddles Hahn and Howie Camnitz who need an older head around to help them adapt to the step up in competition.

Major Career Stats: 1,397 Games, 2,079 Hits, 1,042 Runs, 855 RBIs, 75 HR, .370 AVG, .373 OBP, .513 SLG
Awards: 5x Gold Glove

- One of the best in the game and he bucks the trend with going from the NLB to ALB, after 10 seasons (9 with Milwaukee). One of the main reasons was that his wife grow up in the Scranton area and wanted to return home, the other was the large amount of money the Miners offered him as they are pushing hard for promotion. He said he plans on bringing the Scranton Miners to the NLB this season.

Major Career Stats: 372 Games, 396 Hits, 207 Runs, 156 RBIs, 6 HR, .281 AVG, .377 OBP, .427 SLG

- After 8 seasons in the lower competition Sheckard wanted to test himself against the Division One pitchers and found a job at the Syracuse Bisons where he first started his career as a young 19 year old. He has spent his last 4 seasons at Newark and after battling injuries in the first 2 years he has improved each season, he managed to play 135 games of 136 last year.
