General Idea:

I am thinking one of the English towns could just simply be named 'Old Town'

Old Town as a name can bring lots of history to the table, being that it was one of the earliest settlements in the new colony. The first thing I associate the name Old Town with is cannons. Maybe it was a sight of many skirmishes with the Spanish or pirates in the early days of the settlement when people were still figuring out who the good guys were.

Just a idea, throwing things out to the forums for discussion.

Morgan Isles or Morgantown, Costa Norte Fighting Fish?

The bird on the bat somehow reminds me of Heckle and Jeckle from the old cartoons, although I don't think they wore clothes most times in those cartoons. Skulls isn't necessarily a traditional name, but it does seem to fit, just the same, if you want to put a team named that in the northwestern area of the country.

Just a couple of thoughts you may want to consider here or not, that's all. CD out.

Going off the Old Town/sight of old skirmishes idea, I remember I had this logo from the defunct Berkshire Battalion of the Federal Hockey League that I modified for baseball if you'd like to use it

These are pretty nifty I'll have to work on their aesthetic to match the circular type we have going.

Thanks!

edit:

I hate the spelling of aesthetic....grrr.

Ok guys, I think I am finalizing team names and locations.

Gateshead Gunslingers
Mersey Rivermen (reference to the Mersey Ferry)
Old Town Cannons
Salisbury Sea Dogs
Wessex Warriors
Brittany Leopards

Armada de San Isabella/San Isabella Armada
Buscadores de Castille/Castille Buscadores (Prospectors)
Garzas Azul de Leon/Leon Blue Herons
Tarpons de Toledo/ Toledo Tarpons
Bucaneros de Tortuga/Tortuga Buccaneers
Murciélagos de Murcia/Murcia Bats

I am gunna start a rough draft for the one level of minor league on the island. Same amount of teams, one per parent club.

are you still taking map requests? My Endor league which is the Confederate States of Endor (perhaps not the best name) is based off of America, Canada, Mexico & Cuba. If you are is it easier to list all the states on here or in a PM? I made a paper map years ago. i will look for it tonight,.

Whatever is easier for you, just a few clicks one way or the other. Glad to help.

Here are some Spanish towns... the name meanings will not have to match the nicknames unless you want to match them... I'm just suggesting Spanish names.
My Spanish suggestions are not converted to Spanish word order... I would just follow the Spanish town name with its nickname... but, of course, it is your choice to make... Spanish makes them too long for logos and jerseys.

Costa del Sol Buccaneers (Sun Coast)
Puerto Sur Blue Herons (South Port)
San Isabella Seafarers or Armada
Tarragona Tarpons
Villa del Rio Miners (river village or river town)

Alternate suggestions:

Andalusia Amigos
Catalonia Vaqueros
Malaga Matadors
Pamplona Toros

Here are the English towns... just tried to pick unique names that looked English:
(I didn't use Gunslingers and Warriors (Indian Headdress)… that's American, not English... just my opinion)

Launceston Leopards
Portwenn Sea Dogs

Here are some other suggestions:

Brighton Bridge Scarlets
Castle Acre Archers
Gloucester Elites
Hawkshead Highlanders
St. Albans Saints
Yorkshire Yorkies

Here are my early contenders for the 12 minor league teams.

Alot of fish and bird mascots I know but I think they would fit with peoples team names if our imaginary owners were being realistic with what mascots they could base their team names off of on the island. [That sentence doesn't make sense. The grammar is weird]

All names are English, some need to fit Spanish locations.

Let me know what you guys think.

Beach Bums

Colonials

Dolphins

Friars

Kingfish

Matadores

Orioles

Roosters

Royals

Sailers

Sharks

Surge

I will use some of these for the minor league towns, take a look EC

EC, your names are excellent, I will post these as first drafts for 6 English minor league teams.

What would Scarlets logo be?

Google says red dragon or red knight.

I like red knight better, plus I think I have that logo somewhere.
