Duff Stadium

Yes, that's right..... This is Duff Stadium from Simpsons. I've been thinking about this one for a while. There isn't a definitive version of Duff Stadium as it is somewhat different depending on the episode. It also appears in certain city building games but its form is quite rudimentary.

So, I'll just combine all the references I can find and create my own fictional Duff Stadium in OOTP. I had fun building this stadium and hope everyone enjoys playing with it as well!

Classic entrance

Aerial view

Special monument beyond center field wall -- this pays tribute to a local hero who saved the team from moving out of Springfield. He ended his hunger strike at this exact location

Experiment with day/night textures -- in addition to skyline, I'm beginning to play around with other textures as well. For Duff, I only tested with the stadium lights. The night version stadium light actually looks like it is lit. I'm not totally satisfied with the effect, but it'll have to do for now.

Mokdong Baseball Stadium

Mokdong Baseball Stadium is in Seoul, Korea and was opened in 1987. However, it wasn't until 2008 when it became the home of KBO's Nexen Heroes. I'm not sure how it was used before that.

This stadium is part of a big sports complex, adjacent to a football stadium and an ice skating arena. I put both in the model here because it's cool to catch a glimpse of them when the camera turns. The football stadium is from 3D warehouse and I built the arena (relatively simple structure).

I have the Springfield Isotopes in my Endor League. Bart Simpson has 612? HR. For years I used various versions of Oakland for their park before switching is Isel Isotopes Park this season. i am putting this in for their park as soon i reboot. i can not thank you enough for this one.

So you know you have Duff capacity listed as 7500 and RF is 273.

Thanks for pointing that out! I've corrected the RF to 373 and updated the link in the post. 7500 capacity is intentional. It's just my own assessment since the Simpsons Springfield ballpark is supposed to be small. It's not meant to be the actual Isotopes Park in Albuquerque (which is a much bigger and better stadium in comparison).

Ok I put mine at 29,000. I made up a story about why they went from Duff Stadium (Oakland) to Isotopes Park back to Duff.

Never won an MVP though. He's DH now for Anaheim Angels, I think. Hovering around .220 but still can hit a HR.

LECOM Park

This time we are heading to Bradenton, Florida and take on the spring training home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, also the home of their farm team Bradenton Marauders. For this one I try to add details that really show this stadium is in Florida. Also spent quite a bit of time on making the evening/night version differ more from the day version.
